We stayed a week and really enjoyed the solitude. Having water/electric hookup was a bonus! Flush toilets, showers (hot!!!) extra bonus! The only downside was the road coming in… a bit rough. We ride a heavy touring motorcycle and 2.5 miles to get to road. The ride to Presidio 170 was awesome!! Overall the bumpy dirt road was a minor inconvenience!! Would definitely recommend and come back again!!

We had a great time camping here. Rustic with nice conveniences like running water, flushing toilets and Wi-fi! And it is a very quick drive to the starting line for Big Bend Ultra.

We stayed at the Bus Stop campground with family and friends for the Big Bend Ultra and it was a great place to stay.
We had friends and family in three sites all together and or worked out so great!
The bathrooms and shower stalls were well maintained. The showers were nice and hot even though it was chilly weather.

Second time staying at The Bus Stop Campground & I cannot recommend it enough. As a solo camper, I’ve always felt safe. The showers & bathroom amenities are great, specially the hot shower on a chilly night. 10/10

My family has been to alot of camp sites some good and some we won't talk about but the Bus Stop is onthe top of our list. From the water, power and cook options at each site to the TOP CLASS bathrooms and showers. And WI-FI!!!! I highly recommend this site to whoever needs a place to camp in the Big Bend area.

The Bus Stop Campground is awesome. The sites are beautiful with fire pit, picnic table, washing sink. The bathhouse is clean and showers are hot. The setting and scenery are magical. I highly recommend this spot as a jumping off point for Big Bend.

This was an awesome spot. Close to the state park and national park. We did spot 7 up on the hill and it was perfect as we car camped so everything was within reach. The showers were hot and great pressure. The bathrooms were clean. Wifi worked perfectly (1 night of crazy high winds messed it up, but not to the fault of the camp). Plenty of firewood to easily purchase. And the camp sink with water came in handy. I 100% recommend!!! Plus the view was great.

Great spot in the desert! Site was great for looking at stars! I have never seen them so pronounced before! Really appreciated the amenities (showers and toilets). After being in BBNP days and using their facilities, it was nice to get a flushing toilet. Campsite 6 sits a little higher than the others (from what I can see) and offers a nice view of the surrounding area along with the adjacent little canyon. I will definitely booked this place again!

This spot was perfect for my partner and I, it’s very well kept with hot showers and nice bathrooms, you can see the stars well and it’s a nice distance from the park and Terlingua “Ghost Town”.

The Bus Stop Campground in Terlingua is such a unique and memorable place to stay. Quiet, peaceful, and full of character, it’s the perfect basecamp for exploring Big Bend. The open desert views, stunning sunrises and sunsets, and star-filled night skies make it feel like a true escape from the busy world. The campground has a relaxed, welcoming vibe that makes you feel right at home. The common areas are clean and well cared for, and the bathrooms and showers were clean and appreciated after long days of hiking. If you’re looking for a spot that’s simple, authentic, and full of West Texas charm, this place is it. Would definitely stay here again.

I booked the #2 site as a spill over site next to site 1. We used it for parking guests. The two sites are reasonably close together and relatively private from the rest of the campground. Loved our stay in site 1 and will return for sure.

We really enjoyed the campground.Very large sites.The shower house was nice with good water pressure and plenty of hot water to clean up after a day hiking the mountains.Beautiful sunrise topped it off.I would definitely recommend.Thsnks David

Absolutely amazing!!! I came here on my car camping trip to the Big Bend National Park and was extremely impressed by this campground. First of all, the bath house was so much better than I expected. The showers had hot water, and everything was clean/well maintained. I was at campsite 1 which was decently close to the bathhouse and fire wood. This campground is about 25 minutes away from Big Bend, but the views on the drive made it so worth it!!

What a well thought out space to stay! The natural beauty of the desert was enhanced by thoughtful landscaping and buildings. This is a ‘normal’ camping arrangement with sites close but separated by landscaping. We had sites 1 and 2. They, along with site 3, are a level down from the main loop and feel relatively private. Tho…a public road does run right past them with occasional traffic. I will 💯 stay in site 1 again.
The ground is harder than any I have previously set up on. The provided bucket of tools was absolutely amazing and much needed. The heavy mallet and tall pry bar were much much more effective than my whimpy hammer at getting stakes in the ground. We used the wood stump stools around the firepit and bought wood from the giant available pile for a great evening.
Bathrooms were clean. The outdoor shower was great on the 80 degree day and the indoor showers with hot water perfect for the 40 degree days. Free Wifi worked great. All around a great space. We will return

I loved this place just as much this time as I did the first time I camped here. The location is fantastic and the electric hookups are great for charging an EV. The night sky is super dark and great for astrophotography.

This place was awesome. We are van camping and the amenities they provide are great. Nice clean showers and restrooms. If you are a cyclist the road it’s off of has access to the State Park trails about 4 miles down past bust stop.
