Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. The treehouse is absolutely beautiful, it has so much charm. The view from the top is just as stunning as you would imagine and all af the levels of the treehouse are well thought out and maintained. My only complaint is that we didn't have the time to stay another night. They are not lying about the driveway. It is rough but just adds to the secluded nature of the retreat. Can't wait to come back and would recommend anyone to come experience it.

Learn more about this land:Tom Dooley’s Hideout is located at the Gateway to the hill country, just minutes west of Dripping Springs off of hwy 290. It’s a unique 4 acre property with 5 modern tiny houses that sit on open range with free grazing livestock which occasionally show up as they do not belong to us. This tiny house comfortably sleeps 2 on a queen bed but we do have a sofa/futon thats great for kids. Enjoy sitting on the porch or at the picnic table under the trees to kick back and relax on a cool evening. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO HAVE A TWO NIGHT MINIMUM ON WEEKENDS Each tiny house has a keyless code entry system in which a personal code will be set up and sent to you prior to your check in. In the case that there is an issue with the key pad we do have a manual key so that you will always be able to access your tiny house. Pets are always allowed but we do charge $40 PER pet PER night. We do ask that you keep your pets off of the couch and the bed and clean up any “restroom breaks” outside. Also please note that we Do Not have a full kitchen only a microwave but we do have a charcoal grill under the trees in the common area. Dripping Springs offers a huge variety of fun activities and places to visit. Within a 10 to 15 minute drive you can visit countless local wineries, breweries and distilleries. There are also many amazing state parks such as Pedernales Falls, Blue Hole, Jacobs Well and Hamilton Pool that are always great to visit. Dripping Springs is also known to the wedding capital of Texas If you are in need of transportation you can always call an Uber or Lyft but if you are up for the drive, using your own personal vehicle is the best way to get around.
