Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis. Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there. There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. It also had Bluetooth capability. Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Please reach out if you have any questions and we look forward to hosting you! This tiny Glamping A-frame cabin has a fold out couch/futon that can accommodate two people who really like each other… not the most comfy futon 😂. It also has a loft with ladder access that is most comfortable for two children possibly 2 slim adults. 4 person maximum per stay. This spot is an ideal couples getaway and may not be the best for small kiddos due to the steep rough terrain. We DO NOT provide bedding or any camping gear. You will need to bring your own sleeping pads sleeping bags blankets pillows etc. There is electricity with a small air conditioner, heater and refrigerator/freezer, vintage hifi system with a nice vinyl collection and a gas grill for your convenience. There is also a vintage stereo system with vinyl records for you to enjoy. The cabin does NOT have running water and there is no running water on the property. We do have a Keureg coffee maker, just add bottled water. Bring a coffee cup! There’s a rain collection barrel that is good for washing hands. There is an out house on the property with a composting bucket. This is changed and cleaned between every visit so it will be fresh for your stay. There Is a picnic table and a fire ring for your convenience. We will provide you one FREE fire log. If you want extra fire wood please bring a [xxxxxxxx] ask that you keep fires small and under control at all times. DO NOT HAVE A FIRE IF WE ARE UNDER A BURN BAN. We also ask that you only use the outhouse and DO NOT POOP IN THE WOODS 😊 We have a trashcan on site in the cabin and outdoors. Turkey Bend Recreation area on Lake Travis is just 4 minutes away from our property. Hidden Falls Adventure Park is 11 miles away. We pride ourselves on a very clean property and ask that you help us keep it that way. The views out here are AMAZING!! We look forward to your visit! ENJOY

  • Review summary

    Generated from real Hipcamper reviews

The campsite offers a unique blend of privacy and comfort, with its A-frame cabins nestled in tranquil woods, complete with electricity and a cozy indoor setup. Many guests appreciated the outstanding views, cozy atmosphere, and the host's communicative nature. However, some noted the futon was uncomfortable and suggested bringing alternative sleeping arrangements. Despite these minor drawbacks, the site is highly recommended for its peaceful setting and thoughtful amenities.

Private A-frame nestled in the woods. Privacy was amazing. The A-frame and amenities are exactly as described. Unique experience camping + mini A-frame. Would highly recommend!

Perfect hybrid camping spot where you can rough it without plumbing while enjoying a cozy indoor with electricity. Complete with a perfect campfire setup and gas grill if you choose. My boy and I actually pitched a tent on the deck, which was perfect!

  • Jesse R.

    Camped with pets, Sept 2022.

    Recommends

Views from the deck and through the glass front of the house were great. A lot of nice details: some leftover bug spray, corkscrew, lighters, firewood. Nice grate for cooking over fire. The bathroom was very clean and well cared for.
