Cypress Landing RV Park is a family-oriented, locally-owned RV park that sits on the shores of beautiful Gantt Lake in South Alabama. The lake is approximately 2,700 acres in size with 21 miles of shoreline. Water sports enthusiasts will enjoy skiing, swimming, jet-skiing, and boating on its waters, while fishermen will appreciate catching shell crackers, bream, and bass. During the winter, duck hunters can experience incredible hunts on the lake. The park opened in April 2015 with 63 camp sites, 2 cabins, and a general store. The boat docks were completely redone in the fall of 2015. During that time, the boat ramp was also completed. Tent sites were added in the spring of 2016. Rustic Cabins at East West Farm

2 sites ¡ Lodging20 acres ¡ Jacksonville, AL
Sadly, due to family circumstances, we are not accepting bookings at this time. We hope to again in the near future. The land at East West Farm has been a working farm since the mid 19th century. When we bought it, the farming had ceased about 20 years before and so we re-established a small diverse family farm that was once common all over the country. Learn more about this land: Nestled in a valley of Alabama's own Appalachians, we have much to offer here on the farm and nearby. Bring your fishing gear, hiking boots, and backpack! Our two acre lake is full of fish you can spend the day fishing for (bass, bream, & crappie), rent our kayak and fish from it. Explore our pastures, enjoy the views of surrounding hilltops, hang a hammock by the creek and let the babbling waters sing you to sleep or try your hand at stacking and balancing creekstones! You can also get a taste of farm life as well. Gather eggs laid by our chickens, taste our creamy Jersey milk, enjoy a breakfast of sausage from our own pigs.Want even more adventure? We are just a few miles from the Chief Ladiga Bike Path that joins the Silver Comet Trail in Georgia. Take a day hike or go on a longer backpacking trip on the Pinhoti Trail. We will gladly help you locate local trail heads and if you want to go on an overnight trip, we can provide a shuttle service as well. We are also near Terrapin Creek which offers a pleasant day of paddling on your kayak or rent from one of the local outfitters. Check out Noccalula Falls 20 minutes away in Gadsden, stroll downtown, and if you love microbrews you can't pass up a visit to Back Forty Brewing. The tallest peak in the state is Cheaha Mountain, about an hour away and offers hore hiking, waterfalls, and swimming holes. If you love nature and the outdoors, this is the place to be. We are ruled by nature and the seasons. Please don't expect too much in winter and early spring. We respectfully harvest our own chickens and pigs for meat, so please be aware that there is a possibility that we could be engaged in such an activity.  We'll still do our best to make your visit an awesome one.

Cabins in Alabama guide

Overview

Whatever natural landscape you prefer, Alabama likely has a cabin to suit. Fancy sleeping amid the forested peaks of the Appalachian Mountains? Choose between century-old CCC cabins, A-frame chalets, or cozy bluff side cabins at Cheaha State Park. Want to explore ancient caves and caverns? Snag one of four tiny cabins at Cathedral Caverns State Park. Following Alabama’s Civil Rights trail? Check into a rustic cabin near Horseshoe Bend National Military Park. Alabama cabin rentals come in all shapes, sizes, and comfort levels, affording the chance to visit through all four seasons. Summers in the south can be sweltering, so escape to the white sand beaches of the Gulf Coast and book a luxury lakeside lodge at Gulf State Park or, in fall, rent a mountain chalet or log cabin in DeSoto State Park by Little River Canyon National Park, known for its spectacular fall foliage hikes.
