About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. NO FISHING As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2. Our property features a shared, covered outdoor patio with a games court for corn hole, checkers, and bocce (checkers, boards and balls provided), gas fire pit, and a gas grill for those cooler nights. The patio is lighted with cafe lights. One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections. Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt. *****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.***** Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed. Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Nice little cabin. Host was very accommodating. Outdoor shower was actually pretty cool. Its only 2 miles from Hidden Falls so a great alternative. There is also a river side park about a mile down the same street that is a very nice hangout spot.

Travis was really nice and very accommodating. My daughter and granddaughter wanted to go camping but I found this place and it was a nice balance. The AC worked well and the cabins were cozy. He has canoes and a paddle boat. We started a fire in the fire pit and sat around the fire talking. We will be returning.

Beautiful area and property! House had everything we needed, kids loved the house and loft. We enjoyed walking the trails behind the house and being surrounded by the beautiful hills. We also had a lot of fun playing and floating in the creek. Leann was a wonderful host, very accommodating and helpful.

Overall, we had a great stay! Everything was clean and well-maintained. My babies absolutely loved the bunk beds—they were definitely a highlight of the trip. The waterfront property was beautiful, and it was just a short walk to the river, which we really enjoyed. The location was also perfect—close to a little town that has everything you might need if you forget anything, and less than an hour’s drive to Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg, making it a great home base for exploring the area. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

This place is like an entire homey camping neighborhood renting out the entire camping neighborhood experience. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and it's situated right near tons of river activities. I stayed in a tiny home with my 5 year old, but we're trying the teepees next time!

Wonderfully relaxing. It's a short drive from Austin, but you feel miles away. The minute we stepped foot on Travis's land, we felt calm and content. The blue loft was clean, fun, and funky. Kiddo took the loft bed since my creaky knees couldn't handle the ladder. The downstairs futon is good for sleeping, so we both had our own spaces. The AC was wonderfully cool which was necessary in the heat of the summer. Mornings and evenings were cool in the shade. It was nice to pick one of the various picnic spots scattered about to have breakfast tacos and coffee and in the morning. We brought our paddleboards, but it was much too windy to go on an adventure. Instead, we tied them up to the floating boathouse and and watched a few boats and jet skis having fun while rotating from swimming about to floating with the waves. The covered deck of the floating boathouse it so nice and shady and the perfect spot to get out of the sun for a bit. We had dinner at some of the awesome places that Travis recommended-- The Lighthouse on the Lake & Angel's Ice House. While out & about we got breakfast and snack supplies. All good. It was the perfect getaway!

We loved our stay at the Hideaway! The cabin is quaint but very comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked for us to cook breakfast and dinner every night. We enjoyed the hot tub, star gazing and had plenty of room to spread out and relax. The land was beautiful! We saw hummingbirds, turkeys and lots of deer. It is the perfect place to stay when enjoying the area.

I've never used Hipcamp before. I was worried that the site itself would be underwhelming, but if anything, the listing under sold it. This is an adorable property that is thoughtfully put together so that guests have a good experience. I stayed in cabin six, which was basically a little hotel. I brought a lot of things with me (dishes, towels, etc.) that I didn't actually end up needing because this place was fully stocked. The owner came by and checked on us, told us that if we needed anything to text and they would come running. The AC kept everything nice and cool inside. There are many places around the cabin to sit and relax, as well as several places outdoors. There's no cell signal, but I think the wifi at this property is better than my home wifi in the city. The river is just a short walk from the cabin. The town square is less than a 15 minute drive and there's a few wineries. I definitely plan on coming back!

We stayed at Seco Ridge Campground with family and friends and had such a great time. It’s a super quiet place, and literally they had everything we needed over there. Time by time we kept finding new things to explore, which made the trip so much fun. It is really comfortable, and perfect spot to just relax and hang out. We're definitely coming back again. Highly recommend!

Wonderful place run by wonderful people. Cabin was right on the edge of the lake and parking is right by the cabin. The location itself is pretty secluded which is nice but not too far from town to try the blueberry pancakes at The Dam Grill if a storm ruins your morning plans.
