Come stay in our sweet semi off grid cabin just between Austin and Marble Falls Tx. Near beautiful Lake Travis.
Upon arrival you can park in the flat dirt driveway in front of the boat. The trail up to the cabin begins right there.
There’s a short somewhat steep hike from the parking area by the road up to the cabin. Again the trail is steep and approximately 30 yards long. Keep this in mind because your belongings will have to be carried up the trail. If you have 4x4 you can drive up top closer to the cabin. This is a glamping experience and you will need sleeping pads, bags and pillows. We do not provide bedding. The cabin sleeps 4. 2 on the futon and 2 (preferably kids sized humans) up in the loft. There is electricity but no running water, so bring water. There a/c heat and a mini fridge/freezer. Also a sweet vintage hifi system with a good vinyl collection. It also had Bluetooth capability.
Turkey Bend recreation area on Lake Travis it’s just a couple of miles down the road. Marble Falls and Austin are both about the same distance away approximately 17 miles. Hidden Falls adventure Park is approximately 7 miles away. Lago Vista Texas is the closest city with restaurants and gas stations and grocery stores. This property is on a dirt road and light pollution in minimal so this is a great place to stargaze! The parking area is also dirt and somewhat uneven. Welcome to our property located in Hye, at the beginning of the Texas Wine Trail. French Connection Wines is right next door and the renowned William Chris Vineyards is just 1 mile away. Not to be missed is the Garrison Brother's Bourbon Distillery, less than a mile down the street – you could even walk to all three!
Our property features a shared, covered outdoor patio with a games court for corn hole, checkers, and bocce (checkers, boards and balls provided), gas fire pit, and a gas grill for those cooler nights. The patio is lighted with cafe lights.
One of the RV slips is covered, while the other is nestled under a charming burr oak tree. On-site, we also offer a rental cabin. The covered RV slip is equipped with 30 and 50 amps, the other hookup is 50 amp, both have their own water and clean out connections.
Both RV slips are on grass/dirt, and the entrance/exit is grass and dirt.
*****IF IT RAINS heavily while you are here, please use the paved driveway to exit the property as you may get stuck in the grass at the big double gate.*****
Our property uses rain water recapture. Please conserve water when you can when cooking, washing up and cleaning. No washing of cars or RVs is allowed.
Please note that there might be other guests staying on the property during your visit. Kindly be considerate of noise levels and how it may impact the experience of fellow guests. You may also be sharing amenities such as the grill, deck, outdoor kitchen, and games court.
We welcome dogs, but it is your responsibility to manage their interactions with other guests' pets. Due to potential gaps or larger openings in the fencing, we recommend keeping your dog on a leash.
The owners live on the far side of the property. The rest of the property is left natural for wildlife, so expect uneven terrain, tall grasses, and yes sometimes scorpions, spiders and snakes along with deer, armadillo, wild turkeys, and lots of songbirds.

Travis was really nice and very accommodating. My daughter and granddaughter wanted to go camping but I found this place and it was a nice balance. The AC worked well and the cabins were cozy. He has canoes and a paddle boat.
We started a fire in the fire pit and sat around the fire talking. We will be returning.

The location was great, my kids enjoyed feeding the goats. They were not aggressive so that made it super easy for my kids to entertain themselves, with supervision of course.
The cabin was cutely decorated and spacious enough for 3 rowdy kids and 2 adults.
The porch had a good view and the hammocks were comfortable.
No internet issues while there.
Mr. Rafael was very responsive and helpful.
We got great use of all the supplied equipment in the kitchen. The host did a great job of making sure we had everything we needed, (bug spray, seasonings, flashlight, first aid kid).
Our family will definitely be coming back again, thank you for the relaxing weekend out of the city!

Beautiful yard, I enjoyed exploring and we even got to climb the big tree! The cabin is clean and has lots of space to lie down and rest. Didn’t get to try the shower but it looks real charming. Going to the outhouse was also a neat experience. Brent came out to greet us when we first arrive, so we felt very welcomed!!

This place is like an entire homey camping neighborhood renting out the entire camping neighborhood experience. The grounds were beautiful, the staff was so friendly and helpful, and it's situated right near tons of river activities. Weekend Trip to Magical Lakefront Retreat Property
Wonderfully relaxing. It's a short drive from Austin, but you feel miles away. The minute we stepped foot on Travis's land, we felt calm and content. The blue loft was clean, fun, and funky. Kiddo took the loft bed since my creaky knees couldn't handle the ladder. The downstairs futon is good for sleeping, so we both had our own spaces. The AC was wonderfully cool which was necessary in the heat of the summer. Mornings and evenings were cool in the shade. It was nice to pick one of the various picnic spots scattered about to have breakfast tacos and coffee and in the morning. We brought our paddleboards, but it was much too windy to go on an adventure. Instead, we tied them up to the floating boathouse and and watched a few boats and jet skis having fun while rotating from swimming about to floating with the waves. The covered deck of the floating boathouse it so nice and shady and the perfect spot to get out of the sun for a bit. We had dinner at some of the awesome places that Travis recommended-- The Lighthouse on the Lake & Angel's Ice House. While out & about we got breakfast and snack supplies. All good. It was the perfect getaway!

This is truly a gem. When we looked into staying a few nights in Austin, even small airbnbs were unaffordable. The sweet little trailer was enough for 2. The bed was extremely comfortable. The yard with the humongous live oak was magnificent.

The Urban Camper was my dream come true for staying in Austin. Quiet setting in a sweet neighborhood walkable to my favorites but out of the craziness. I loved the outdoor shower and "Austin" decor touches that reminded me of my first visit 15 years ago.

Weekend Trip to Hi-Line Resort
Wonderful place run by wonderful people. Cabin was right on the edge of the lake and parking is right by the cabin. The location itself is pretty secluded which is nice but not too far from town to try the blueberry pancakes at The Dam Grill if a storm ruins your morning plans.

The perfect place to rest, relax and reset! Great location, the cabin was perfect, it had everything we needed. Very peaceful. Hollis and Beaux were very friendly and hospitable. We would highly recommend and we look forward to going back!

Weekend Trip to Magical Lakefront Retreat Property
Very beautiful property and really nice accommodations. Loved the hammock swings. The fridge is more of a small fridge rather than a mini fridge which was nice. Between the grill and electric cooktop you can cook whatever!

Weekend Trip to Hi-Line Resort
I enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at HiLine Resort. Very pleasant lakeside cabin with great view of the lake. Nice picnic table seating lakeside with small charcoal grill. Pleasant restaurant and very friendly owners. Basic accommodations, not fancy but very adequate and clean.

Weekend Trip to Happy Hideaway - Near COTA
Cute area! We rented the Sunset Cabin for us to stay in while we went to the Sherwood Ren Faire for the weekend. The cabin had all the amenities we needed, but the showers were pretty cold at night (although that might just be the pipes being close to the ground surface). Hotter showers were possible during the day until someone else used the next-door shower or toilet.
Some things that couldn't be helped were the loud neighbors. We arrived late at night to hear a car nearby that was burning rubber for at least 10 minutes. Thankfully, the cabin was able to drown out the noise for the most part, but I felt bad for those who were using the lotus tent.
Keep in mind that at night it is *dark*, even with all the pathway lighting and string lights. It would be wise to use a flashlight when you're walking outside, as there are cacti throughout the area. It is also a little worrisome that the code to the cabin is simply 1234. I don't believe that any of the other campers would attempt to get inside, but a more complicated code would provide ease of mind.
Other than that, we had a great time and would be happy to stay there again!

Private A-frame nestled in the woods. Privacy was amazing. The A-frame and amenities are exactly as described. Unique experience camping + mini A-frame. Would highly recommend!
