Please remember, for the safety and comfort of our animals and guests, unsupervised interactions with our animals are not permitted. All animal interactions must be scheduled and supervised by our experienced staff. Also please remember that while our farm is a total of 30 acres, only about 1/3 of that is available for open use by campers, the rest house our beautiful horses and other animals.

1. Check in is before sunset. We ask that all Hipcampers wait at gate for staff to guide you to your location for safety reasons. Contact us if you arrive ahead of schedule.
2. No wondering by the upper level cabins (these are private property). Showers are behind these cabins. Please respect staff spaces.
3. If you have an extra vehicle, please park it with your other vehicle.
4. If you have a 3rd extra vehicle, let us know and we will direct you where to park it.
5. Please be courteous of other campers space and road access.
6. All kids are free. If your kids are 17 and under do not add them or it will charge.
7. If you have an impairment please let us know before booking so that we can ensure a space is ready and suitable for you.

There is currently a group of 10 people who spend the majority of our time living and striving to create community on these 85 beautiful acres of land.
Our goals are to establish a thriving community, grow most of our own food,
build tiny houses to rent or sell, create sustainability and be as self sufficient as possible, salvage
material for builds, host events and retreats, teach classes, and more. Please feel free to ask questions and share any interest you may have in what we are doing here.
Our property is a densely forested 85 acres with a walk-able 2 miles around the perimeter of the property and many trails and hidden nooks to explore throughout the heart of this beautiful escape back to our natural roots. We are in the process of mapping out the trails- which we plan to make available soon! For now those of you with a sense of adventure and desire to explore will certainly be satisfied.
We have a full acre size pond and a kayak that you can feel free to use. There is a communal area around the pond that we will be adding to in the near future- you may run into some of our community members or other campers there from time to time, we invite you to socialize, bring a chair, perhaps a beverage or snack and get to know each other and us as well if we cross paths!
You will observe and encounter wildlife in abundance including a variety of birds, wild hogs, opossums, armadillo, moles, spiders, scorpions, butterflies, praying mantis, walking sticks, snakes- keep an eye out for rattlesnakes and copperheads, deer, many insects, and more. Please be cautious and treat these creatures' home with respect for them as well as yourselves. Our property is also home to some lovely cows, chickens, a few dogs, and several cats- they (other than the cows who do what they please) generally remain in areas away from our camp sites though they may still decide to stop by to say hello!
We have many spaces available for camping throughout the property. These are primitive campsites on raw land so you will need to provide your own tent, water, food, and operate with a leave no trace mentality when camping here. There are areas that can accommodate large groups of campers as well as very secluded nooks if you are looking for a private retreat into nature. There is plenty of fallen wood available for firewood and a fire pit will be prepared for you before arrival!

We have numerous old growth hardwood trees including Live Oaks, Spanish oaks, Elm, Escarpment Cherry, Black walnut, and Ashe Juniper (cedar) one of which has the largest circumference in Texas. We have a wide selection of native and migratory wildlife that calls this place home including white tail deer, wild turkeys, foxes, bobcats, jack rabbits, road runners, seasonal songbirds and butterflies. We are just minutes away from Blanco State Park and a short drive to Pedernales Falls or Guadalupe River State Park.

1. Check in is before sunset. We ask that all Hipcampers wait at gate for staff to guide you to your location for safety reasons. Contact us if you arrive ahead of schedule.
2. No wondering by the upper level cabins (these are private property). Showers are behind these cabins. Please respect staff spaces.
3. If you have an extra vehicle, please park it with your other vehicle.
4. If you have a 3rd extra vehicle, let us know and we will direct you where to park it.
5. Please be courteous of other campers space and road access.
6. All kids are free. If your kids are 17 and under do not add them or it will charge.

There is currently a group of 10 people who spend the majority of our time living and striving to create community on these 85 beautiful acres of land.
Our goals are to establish a thriving community, grow most of our own food,
build tiny houses to rent or sell, create sustainability and be as self sufficient as possible, salvage
material for builds, host events and retreats, teach classes, and more. Please feel free to ask questions and share any interest you may have in what we are doing here.
Our property is a densely forested 85 acres with a walk-able 2 miles around the perimeter of the property and many trails and hidden nooks to explore throughout the heart of this beautiful escape back to our natural roots. We are in the process of mapping out the trails- which we plan to make available soon! For now those of you with a sense of adventure and desire to explore will certainly be satisfied.
We have a full acre size pond and a kayak that you can feel free to use. There is a communal area around the pond that we will be adding to in the near future- you may run into some of our community members or other campers there from time to time, we invite you to socialize, bring a chair, perhaps a beverage or snack and get to know each other and us as well if we cross paths!
You will observe and encounter wildlife in abundance including a variety of birds, wild hogs, opossums, armadillo, moles, spiders, scorpions, butterflies, praying mantis, walking sticks, snakes- keep an eye out for rattlesnakes and copperheads, deer, many insects, and more. Please be cautious and treat these creatures' home with respect for them as well as yourselves. Our property is also home to some lovely cows, chickens, a few dogs, and several cats- they (other than the cows who do what they please) generally remain in areas away from our camp sites though they may still decide to stop by to say hello!
We have many spaces available for camping throughout the property. These are primitive campsites on raw land so you will need to provide your own tent, water, food, and operate with a leave no trace mentality when camping here. There are areas that can accommodate large groups of campers as well as very secluded nooks if you are looking for a private retreat into nature. There is plenty of fallen wood available for firewood and a fire pit will be prepared for you before arrival!

I enjoyed a wonderful 2 night stay at HiLine Resort. Very pleasant lakeside cabin with great view of the lake. Nice picnic table seating lakeside with small charcoal grill. Pleasant restaurant and very friendly owners. Basic accommodations, not fancy but very adequate and clean.

When we arrived they met us at the entrance and guided us to our site then took time to explain the property and area. They had the tents set up how we requested for our largish group. Appreciated the high pressure hose for cleaning and the misting system through the trees to cool us down. Despite the noise of the rush of cars from the nearby road, the stars were bright and the space was ideal for our group with 2 young kids and a large dog.

Weekend Trip to Happy Hideaway - Near COTA
Cute area! We rented the Sunset Cabin for us to stay in while we went to the Sherwood Ren Faire for the weekend. The cabin had all the amenities we needed, but the showers were pretty cold at night (although that might just be the pipes being close to the ground surface). Hotter showers were possible during the day until someone else used the next-door shower or toilet.
Some things that couldn't be helped were the loud neighbors. We arrived late at night to hear a car nearby that was burning rubber for at least 10 minutes. Thankfully, the cabin was able to drown out the noise for the most part, but I felt bad for those who were using the lotus tent.
Keep in mind that at night it is *dark*, even with all the pathway lighting and string lights. It would be wise to use a flashlight when you're walking outside, as there are cacti throughout the area. It is also a little worrisome that the code to the cabin is simply 1234. I don't believe that any of the other campers would attempt to get inside, but a more complicated code would provide ease of mind.
Other than that, we had a great time and would be happy to stay there again!

The tent was so cozy and the grounds were very well kept. There's a grill, a place for a fire. A/C in the tent was great, bed was comfortable. Showers were great, in good shape and clean as well. I would recommend using them one at a time for the best temperature. Honestly, it was my first time camping this way and it was great. Highly recommend.

Son and I spent 2 nights in the bus/van. 75 feet from the most equine therapy you can have, with a mix of the sweetest most docile mix of miniatures and horses you could have. Additionally, they have calmest ram i have ever seen (apparently in some sort of sordid love affairs with a mare, but each to their own). The owners Makayla and Jason were very sweet and accommodating towards us both in the camping and our trail ride. Next time we come back we might try the bucolic sites on the new banks of the river. Adorable bus on a cool property. You’re right next to the barn and it was nice hearing the horses throughout the day. Highly recommend booking the horseback ride add-on!

We really enjoyed our stay. The car noise the others have commented about wasn't too bad. Loved the wild turkey sounds with the cows and the donkey. There was a lot of gun shots going off in the distance. Obviously they can't control that, but it went on till real late. Like after midnight.

Excellent place to recharge and connect in nature! Responsive host, clean and cozy accommodations and beautiful horses!
There’s plenty of room to roam and sun bathe. There’s a restroom and at this time there isn’t a shower. There’s running water and a water filtration system in the bus.

We loved coming to this secluded spot. It felt like a haven. Very quiet, no campers right next to us. Having the bell tent was fantastic so we didn't have to bring the extras of tent and mattress and bedding. This bed was really comfortable and clean. The outhouse was a short walk and also extremely clean. Frew wood bundle each night was also a blessing. We will be back.
