Discover our exquisite campground just 10 miles west of Lampasas, uniquely situated in the elevated terrain of the Colorado River drainage. Nearby attractions include Stone Ledge and Fiesta Wineries, as well as the recreational haven of Bend State Park, offering opportunities for biking, hiking, swimming in the Blue Hole, and fishing along the river. Our charming Campground comprises a single secluded Glamp site equipped with a large tent with electricity, air conditioning and electric heat. We have an additional pop-up tent, private Loo, camp shower, grill, picnic table, dry storage, access to well water, and solar lights. Onsite in our OakGrove area we have access to WIFI with open campground space for larger groups or camping closest to modern restroom. We have one community restroom with a full shower, toilet and sink . We currently have 3 private campsites nestled outback . Onsite drive up parking for all sites We happily welcome pets, provided they are kept on a leash. Each individual tent site location has a trashcan, Loo, portable camping toilet/tent, grill for campfires and cooking and picnic table. We also have 100 acres with hiking trails for you to explore. Situated on-site are over 100 undeveloped acres boasting numerous hiking trails, ideal for mountain biking or a serene walk amidst abundant wildlife, including trophy Whitetail Deer, Turkey, Armadillos, Hawks, and other captivating wild birds. Revel in the breathtaking Hill Country sunsets and immerse yourself in the awe-inspiring star-filled nights. We have 2 miniature cows , 2 baby miniature cows and a Donkey kept in fenced area near our Oak Grove for those of you who enjoy seeing farm animals.

All guest have access to hike outback which includes 100+underdeveloped acres with lots of wildlife and during wet years has two ponds and two creeks to explore. The OakGrove area where this site is located has plenty of open space for groups. Contact us for details on booking for a group. You will also have an opportunity to meet our newest baby miniature cow Sammy along with Bessy, Buttercup and Donkey Mo. They are all friendly enclosed in a pen nearby and love apples.

Our parents many years ago built a circle road around a grove of large oaks and Junipers, added a stand alone full bathroom with electricity, a water well and a pavilion area with picnic tables, grill, and space for outdoor games! All of this so they could invite their friends from the camping group they loved so much to come enjoy the peace and seclusion of their ranch! The Blue Bonnett area is one of our 2 campsites in the Oak Grove Camping which can be used for large groups. Contact host for details. Our beautiful signature glampsite is located 10 miles west of Lampasas. The site is uniquely located in the high country of the Colorado river drainage on our family ranch. The site is easily accessible from 580 and located in a trimmed Cedar glen with privacy and abundant wildlife viewing opportunities. There is a water misting area for a cool down spot near the tent. The night sky is incredible dark and the stars are so bright that the Milky Way looks like a filmy cloud that stretches from one horizon to the other. Nearby attractions are Stoneledge and Fiesta wineries also close is Bend State Park a great place for Biking, Hiking Swimming in the Blue Hole and Fishing in the River! Guest will enjoy our large Canvas tent on its own deck, with queen bed, memory foam mattress, bed linens, extra twin chair bed, 4 padded cots available, small table for supplies inside, bedside tables, solar powered lamp, gas propane heater for those colder nights, fire extinguisher, water carrier, sun shower, basic camp dishes, toilet paper and paper towels, trash bags, soap, 3 drawer chest and extra pop up tent for additional guests . Outside amenities include 2 adirondack chairs, private toilet ( loo in own enclosed space on a deck) Picnic table, fire pit and grill, dry storage area for food and cooking supplies, basic grill supplies, hammock and plenty of space for your family and friends to relax and play. Furry friends are welcome if controlled and on a leash when out back .We have 100 acres outback that you can explore by hiking or mountain bike. You will be walking by our OakGrove Community area on your way outback so you may see other campers while doing this. This area has the community bathroom with shower and electricity. Out back look for White Tailed Deer, Turkey, Hawks and many other wild birds. If you are lucky you may get to meet our friendly, donkey Mo and miniature cows Bessy, Buttercup and new baby Sammy who love apples. Your camping Hosts are Danny and Michael Taylor, two brothers with a life long love for the outdoors and desire to share their beautiful ranch and build a fantastic campground to share with family and new friends like you who will make treasured memories .

This glamping site had all the essentials and more! Really appreciated being within easy access to Lampasas (15min) and Colorado Bend State Park (20 min). I would highly recommend Daniel's site to anyone wanting a couple or family getaway

The tent was perfect for our family of 4! We only stayed one night, so we didn't need much room. He offered an extra tent for the kids if we needed extra room (which we didn't). He had a heater and portable AC which was very helpful at night to sleep comfortably. Bed, cots, and sheets were sturdy and comfortable. We enjoyed the hammock and the grill. He provided firewood, and I also loved that there was heavy duty hose with a sprayer attachment close by for washing. He met us at the site when we arrived and explained how everything worked. The composting toilet was on site, but the was a pretty good sized rip in the covering, so not very private. But he told us about the actual bathroom just a few minutes walk away, so that was nice to use. There's also very long walking trails in the back that my daughter loved! We found a few ponds and also a windmill. Overall, I would recommend this spot for anyone who wants to enjoy a camping experience without all the setup. It was only 15 minutes away from an HEB, so grabbing dinner supplies was super convenient. We would definitely return!

The host and campsite were great!! Daniel waited by the front gate when we arrived to show us around and take us to our campsite. The campsite had great amenities which include first night of firewood free, a nice fire pit, a nice built up area to use the restroom, and a picnic table with umbrella with lights- all in a nice open yet secluded space. There wasn’t a hose, so Daniel was awesome and brought us a large cooler of water with a spout that was perfect for washing hands and dishes for the weekend. The campsite had a bathroom and shower with warm water. Special bonus was the super lovey dogs, donkey, and cows on the site. We also got to see a TON of stars in the night sky!! And it was a nice, easy drive from Austin. And Lampasas is a cute town. The campsite is a perfect distance from the town without being too far away.

When we arrived they met us at the entrance and guided us to our site then took time to explain the property and area. They had the tents set up how we requested for our largish group. Appreciated the high pressure hose for cleaning and the misting system through the trees to cool us down. Despite the noise of the rush of cars from the nearby road, the stars were bright and the space was ideal for our group with 2 young kids and a large dog.

Our camping spot was nice and secluded, surrounded by beautiful trees. Cell service was VERY limited which we didn’t mind. Plenty of room for 1 medium and 1 large tent. Bathroom was spacious, clean, and not too far from the site.

We really enjoyed our stay. The car noise the others have commented about wasn't too bad. Loved the wild turkey sounds with the cows and the donkey. There was a lot of gun shots going off in the distance. Obviously they can't control that, but it went on till real late. Like after midnight.

We booked this stay last minute, and the owner was incredibly accommodating from the start. After running into unexpected car trouble, we didn’t arrive until midnight — and he still came out to show us the site without hesitation. That level of kindness and hospitality truly meant a lot to us. The property itself was peaceful and quiet. We were the only campers there, which made it feel even more relaxing and private. No one bothered us, and we were able to fully unwind and enjoy our time. We had an amazing experience and will absolutely be back. Highly recommend!

Soooo many trees and such a beautiful property! We loved our stay and will definitely be back. The glamping set up is just perfect! Bed is super comfortable, camping cookware provided, electricity and unlimited firewood is a huge plus! Let’s not forget the coffee station and convenient location of the loo for all your bathroom needs. We had such a peaceful and relaxing time around the campfire, under the stars and moon. Exactly what we needed, a wonderful reset! The host is so friendly and responds quickly. Don’t hesitate and book this site, you will be in camping heaven!

The Blue Bonnett Campsite
Daniel's Bluebonnet campsite is nicely situated near the flush toilet/shower and water spicket. The cows and donkey visited us frequently - loved it. Hiking through the back property was peaceful and beautiful. There was occasional road noise mixed with the coyote yips but not enough to matter. Great fire pit/grill! Daniel responding immediately when we needed anything. If you think the well water has an odd aroma, ask Daniel about the water in that area. We enjoyed conversing with him.

This site was great! A huge plus was that they brought us firewood both nights that we stayed and saved me a lot of chopping time. The fire pit supplied was also very nice. They were very friendly and the donkey they had also seemed to get along great when it met our dogs.

Very secluded and awesome campsite. A little snug for my 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT. they provided firewood, fire pit, and pop up tent and emergency toilet if we could not make the 6 min walk to the flushable toilet.

We had a great time staying at Daniel's glamping site, about 15 miles from the entry to Colorado bend State park. The campsite and tent were clean and tidy and secluded in a cedar grove, with solar lights and a fire pit (wood included) and grill for cooking. There was a couple hundred yards walk to a full bathroom with a shower and wifi. An extra tent with cots and bedding was also available for the kids, and was setup prior to arrival. Overall a wonderful time, perfect for a short weekend at the park, and would absolutely stay again. Thanks Danny!

The place was exactly as described. Fantastic layout, we really felt all by ourselves at the Juniper Campsite. The owner was very nice and showed our kids how they feed the cows, they had such a nice time. I would recommend anyone wanting to get away, and get jealous of the beautiful setup the owners have here check it out :)

We had the best stay here! It was so quiet and peaceful. We walked around the property and made friends with the cute mini cows and the donkey! The stars were UNREAL. Danny was awesome and checked in on us and restocked our firewood. The firepit is massive and two tier grates and was perfect for all of our cooking needs. 5/5!!!

Daniel and his brother were very friendly. He even trimmed the trees for us after he saw us struggling to back our truck into the spot. The spot was beautiful! We did leave early due to getting rained out, but that was just bad luck on our part. We enjoyed the time we spent here.
