The Texas Music River Ranch is 111 acres located in the quaint village of Webberville, Texas, only 20 miles east of downtown Austin. The large oak and pecan trees amid the rolling green hills of this gorgeous ranch land are nestled on the banks of the lazy Colorado River.
Swim, kayak, or canoe...but there’s no better way to beat the legendary Texas heat than by grabbing an inner tube and enjoying a calm, steady float along a river known for an abundance of fossils and its wildlife. Bring your own tubes, kayaks and canoes, we are currently replenishing our inventory.
Or perhaps you prefer to fish the shady tree-lined banks. Either way, you'll see a variety of birds while you relax on or beside the cool waters of the Colorado River.
We're kid and dog friendly (leashes mandatory) and we love musicians. Bring an instrument and join us for an impromptu jam session in our special events room or around the campfire. Cook dinner on our BBQ pit. Firewood is available onsite
A few rules...
1. Check in is before sunset. We ask that all Hipcampers wait at gate for staff to guide you to your location for safety reasons. Contact us if you arrive ahead of schedule.
2. No wondering by the upper level cabins (these are private property). Showers are behind these cabins. Please respect staff spaces.
3. If you have an extra vehicle, please park it with your other vehicle.
4. If you have a 3rd extra vehicle, let us know and we will direct you where to park it.
5. Please be courteous of other campers space and road access.
6. All kids are free. If your kids are 17 and under do not add them or it will charge.
7. If you have an impairment please let us know before booking so that we can ensure a space is ready and suitable for you.
8. All dogs must be on leash. Please clean up your dogs Poop.

Enjoy our newly renovated communal Pavillion which offers access to 4 different kind of grills, a brick pizza oven, a propane firepit table, games, a microwave, coffee maker, and a fridge stocked with drinks to purchase. Our bathroom facility is located right nearby and now features permanent indoor lighting. Well water is available from the sink located near the bathroom.
Please remember, for the safety and comfort of our animals and guests, unsupervised interactions with our animals are not permitted. All animal interactions must be scheduled and supervised by our experienced staff. Also please remember that while our farm is a total of 30 acres, only about 1/3 of that is available for open use by campers, the rest house our beautiful horses and other animals.
Our farm is situated just a short drive from local attractions. We are 10 miles from the Historic Georgetown Square, 11.2 miles from the serene Blue Hole, and 38 miles from the hustle and bustle of downtown Austin. We aim to offer you a tranquil and authentic farm stay amidst our horse-centric environment. McDonald Farm sits in the historic farming community of Jonah, TX between Georgetown and Taylor on scenic Highway 29. McDonald Farm is named after the patriarch of the family, J.H. Mcdonald, who first acquired the property in 1911. The farm sits on the bank of the San Gabriel River and features a lush canopy of huge pecan trees, sprawling corn fields, prairie, and forest.
We are a working farm! We primarily grow corn, but we also have livestock on the property. During daytime hours, you will likely see a variety of farm chores being completed. We offer a self-serve farm stand for our customers with fresh eggs, jelly and even pasture raised chicken - all produced on the farm.
We are only 7 miles from the Georgetown, TX historical district and square. Some say it’s the most beautiful town square in all of Texas. Enjoy shopping, dining, and festivals!
There is road noise. Highway 29 can be busy at times, despite being a two-lane road. Quiet hours are after 10 pm Sunday - Thursday and midnight Friday and Saturday.
Access to our river site is included in your camping fee. This secluded hike-to (~ 1-2 minute walk) site is peaceful with limestone cliff views and no visible homes or signs of civilization. The trail head is accessed by a dirt road that winds around our corn field and into the woods, and can be accessed by any vehicle in normal weather conditions. We will provide warning/refunds if the river road becomes 4x4 only. Fishing is allowed with a valid Texas fishing license. There is no overnight camping on the San Gabriel River. All camping is at the main farm area and campers are able to come and go from the river site as they please (day or night!).

19 miles away situated along a one-mile stretch of the spring-fed Blanco River, the small but mighty Blanco State Park is very family-friendly, offering the spectacular Falls Dam, nature trails, fishing, tubing, kayaking, and deep water for a good, refreshing swim. The stocked river is teeming with largemouth and Guadalupe bass, catfish, sunfish, and rainbow trout, and can be an excellent place for beginning anglers (you can even borrow equipment for free).
Pedernales Falls State Park is only 35 miles away.
Swimming at holes, horseback riding, hiking, mountain biking, and birding are a few of the quintessential outdoor Texan activities visitors enjoy most at Pedernales State Park, located near the area of Texas Hill Country where former President Lyndon B. Johnson grew up. Next to the famed Pedernales River, the park is an hour west of Austin, an hour east of Fredericksburg, and about 20 minutes from downtown Johnson City. Wineries and distilleries are a short drive away in nearby Dripping Springs and Stonewall.

We had a great weekend camping in our teardrop. The water hook up and electric hookups worked great! Brandon was nice enough to come outside Friday night to help guide us into the spot as we are still learning how to best back it up.
He had turf, string lights, a firepit and a grill along with a cute patio table set up. It was nice to start and end our day in the tasting the room and we enjoyed the beer and wine flight offerings.
His dog AJ was super cute and friendly and was happy to say hi to us throughout the weekend.
When we left the next morning after calling around to try to find a dump station we ended up making a short detour to Pedernales Falls state park because we were unsuccessful on finding a closer one and most parks weren’t answering their phones on Sunday.
Would definitely stay again!

This was a good stay for us. Alex was very helpful and accommodating. The spot was very level and the electricity + water was very appreciated and used. It was quiet at night with restful sleep.
I think for a Class B RV this works well. We drove to the local YMCA daily for showers + workouts and then explored Austin during the day. In the evening we returned and then took Ubers/Waymos to various downtown / South Lamar / South Congress locations for dinner, drinks, and dancing. Non surge Uber pricing was about $15-$18 each way.
Larger rigs would have more challenges I think, so use caution and talk with Alex about details of what he can genuinely accommodate.
All in, the price was very right for us and we had a great trip. Thank you.

This host was very nice and accommodating. While the add promotes a 30 amp outlet there is actually a 50 amp available. The facility provides a clicker for after hours entry/ exit. The area is quiet and peaceful. My wife was able to enjoy a glass of wine and I was able to enjoy a glass of beer and cigar, all these are available for purchase at this establishment.

What a perfect spot! We stayed 3 nights in Site 9 and had a blast. We used the ranch as a base camp and visited some of the nearby state parks during spring break. The property is quiet and the stars are bright at night! There’s plenty of room for kids to run and play and be kids.

We really enjoyed our 4 night stay at Brandon’s. He met us when we arrived, and gave us all the info needed about the site. The White House business was closed during our stay since it was off season, so we had the entire place to ourselves. The White House is right off 290, but inside a gate. Brandon provides you a remote control to use for entering and exiting. The water and electric work perfectly. There is a toilet you can use which is clean and just a few feet away. The spot has a nice sitting area, as well as a fire pit with stools, and a gas grill with a grittle top, which worked well and was perfect for fajitas. There is a winery on one side of the property, and a farm with cows behind the property, so the scenery is nice (I am sure it’s even more lovely when things are in bloom and green - since we were there in early February, the surrounding area was lovely but not in growth). The cows from the farm came directly up to the fence to eat one morning, which was fun. The property is 20 minutes to downtown Fredericksburg. You will hear road noise, but you will also hear a ton of birds, especially in the morning, so it was very relaxing. We enjoyed our time and would return.

Great little spot to park your RV that's close to Fredericksburg. Right off highway 290. Brandon was helpful and made us feel welcome. We loved waking up to the view of the vineyards!
One thing to note... The power is a 50 amp outlet. If your RV needs a 30 amp outlet, make sure you have the proper adapter. (Walmart stocks them for $10-$20)
