Chris was so pleasant and helpful! The spot was perfect. Sweet dogs, beautiful river, everything worked well including the laundry. We will be coming back!

Chris’s land was pretty awesome, 15 mins from downtown Austin. He is very helpful and attentive. Offers all the creature comforts Shower/Laundry facilities. The land is peaceful, you hear the birds chirping and has a cool hangout deck on the Colorado River. If you looking to be close to town and but also be away from the craziness a city could be this is the go to spot.

My wife and I spent a weekend here with our two dogs and absolutely loved it! Site #6 was so private and quaint with the fence and our dogs had a blast with the next door neighbor’s dog, Yamu. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves!

Perfect spot for me and my two pups! Each site has an enclosed yard for privacy but if your dog's are social, there are other pups to meet on the property too. I didn't spend much time by the water because my dogs wanted to jump right in, but there's a really nice deck area to relax on. Free laundry was appreciated. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The price we paid and the private outdoor space.. amazing value. You don't get that on an event weekend where most places are out gouging tourists. It's a camp space. So we didn't expect much. The place fulfilled our needs. The host is responsive and helpful.The cabin option looks even better on site.
Clean flush toilet and shower, absolute plus. Stairs down to the site are steep but the lights are placed at perfect spots to make travel safe in the dark hours too. Google maps might lead you into a neighbor's driveway. Watch out for that. Only wish some neighbors partied less. The thumping woofers took away the charm a tad. But overall a comfortable stay.

Hard pass on this one. We got to the site and there is not even minimal signage to point to the stairs. When we finally figured it out and walked down to the "campsite", we found it overrun and having the appearance of not being used for a while. There was none working lawn equipment in the site itself and the owner was nowhere to be found. We ended up. leaving and going to another campsite.

We really liked this campsite! The site is right on the river and was so pretty. There are canoe and kayak rentals available and the fishing was good, we caught a huge carp right off the fishing dock. There is a short walk with stairs from the parking spot to the campsite, but it wasn’t bad.

Great campsite close to the fishing deck. We had fun watching and joining the other campers fishing the river as well as kayaking and paddle boarding around. Close to Austin if you need to get out of the heat during summer. Saw quite a bit of wild life in the river so didn’t do much swimming except the many times I fell off the paddle board, but I definitely will keep this place in mind for the future.

Such a great spot on the river, we sat on the dock for hours on Friday after we arrived at camp. The bathroom was clean and nearby. We went to Wimberly on Saturday to the blue hole, this was about an hour away but it was perfect. There were dogs that came to say hello and hung out with us, ass were very sweet. I will be saving this spot for future use!

Lovely campsite! We felt it was scenic and well cared for, and we enjoyed the deck down by the water very much.
We were there the week of the eclipse, and even with some wild weather overnight-- it was quiet and peaceful. Flat spot and nice grounds.
The host, Chris, was super friendly and very accommodating! We had a little trouble finding it at first, but after dark and tired drivers-- Chris was great in jumping on the phone and ensuring we arrived safely.
Would stay again, highly recommend!

We absolutely loved our stay at “Riverbank”. It was dog heaven! (and heaven for dog lovers!). Our 2 border collie mutts (Donner and Blitzen) had so much fun playing with the super friendly and adorable dogs there! They were able to run freely off leash without worry of roads, etc., and play with all the neighborhood dogs who have learned that this is the happening Hip Camp Spot !! The river is lovely and the dogs had fun swimming too. The outdoor shower was sweet and you could do laundry there as well. The owner, Chris, is a very nice guy and hard working soul who is making this a wonderful riverside spot for dogs and humans alike! Thank you for hosting us, we’ll be back!

We had so much fun here! There were other folks staying on the property and everyone was kind and welcoming. The river front was gorgeous. Host was kind and accessible to us. I don’t think our dogs have ever had so much fun in their lives. They got torun with the other dogs on the property and absolutely exhausted themselves. Wonderful time, would stay again for sure.

Lot 6 is a bit bare but Chris offered us lot 11 that backed on the colorado river. Chris is a gracious host. He is creating quite the compound of rental and camping options. Our dogs could be off leash which they loved.

We had an awesome time staying here, even if the weather didn't fully cooperate. Mr. Chris was friendly, greeted us when we showed up, and gave us a tour of the place. The place was great and had a lot of amenities, My son and I got to hang out, fish from the dock, roast hot dogs, and make smores. 5 stars!

This property is stunning.
Hike in camp is nestled in an alcove of trees just above a large deck on the river.
The site is very well managed and dog friendly. We were visited by several friendly dogs and a really cool black cat.
The deck is epic. Plenty of seating. A nice mini fridge and grill.

Chris and his property are amazing! He checked in with us several times. The mini camper was very comfy with AC, cute patio and view of the river. The lower dock is so relaxing with evening shade and a propane fire. We paddle boarded and had a wonderful camping experience! Dog friendly! Thank you!

Really cool property. Each spot has electric and running water. We camped which was a “hike in” down some stairs. The Colorado River was right at the property and had easy access with kayaks, a canoe and paddle boarding. We had a ton of fun!
