Escape to the wide-open landscapes of Horizon Terlingua, a peaceful 5-acre desert retreat near Alpine, Texas. Surrounded by expansive skies, rugged terrain, and distant mountain views, this property is a great place to slow down, unplug, and enjoy the quiet beauty of West Texas. The property offers a variety of accommodations, including multiple RV/tent campsites and three simple micro cabins. The camping sites are suitable for tents and smaller vehicles under 20 feet, with space for up to four guests per site. Several sites are set farther from the common areas for guests looking for a more secluded experience. Guests can gather in the shared outdoor kitchen area or relax around the common fire pit with benches. Campfires are permitted, and toilet facilities are available. Pets are welcome at the RV/tent sites. For those who prefer a roof over their heads, the micro cabins provide a simple and comfortable place to rest after a day of exploring. Each cabin accommodates up to two guests and includes access to a toilet. Please note that this is a rustic desert stay. There are no electrical or water hookups at the campsites, and potable water is not provided, so guests should arrive prepared with everything they need for a self-sufficient stay. Whether you’re camping under the stars, enjoying a quiet night in a cabin, or gathering around the fire with fellow travelers, Horizon Terlingua offers a laid-back desert escape surrounded by the natural beauty of West Texas.

The cabin is tiny and works well for the outdoor enthusiast who just needs a place to sleep because they plan to spend most of their time in the great outdoors anyway! The cabin includes a queen sized bed. The 4 solar panels power the eco friendly cabin including the air conditioning that can be powered by the sunny days. The toilet area is a composting-pit toilet. This is an eco stay without running water.
