You may get a visit from “Tucker” the ranch dog, see "Bullseye" the mini-horse, "Woody", the mini-donkey, “Jesse” the cow or "Buzz and Bo-Peep" our Camaron Sheep. We have two pool cabanas are across the pool from the main house for a stay with modern conveniences. -The Casita (1 queen/1 single bed) sleeps 3 with a kitchenette and a full bathroom. -"The Bunkhouse" is still comfortable with a King Size bed (we can also convert to 2 singles if needed). This unit has a seperate living space with a mini-fridge and microwave, but no bathroom in the unit. We have an outdoor shower and poolside bathroom for use. -We also have 2 campsites on the open space for tent setup and camping under the stars. (no outdoor fires allowed) Access to the outdoor shower and pool bathroom. -The pool area is a shared space during your stay. Our property is mostly wooded, so please don’t be surprised by the occasional critters. Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!

The family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Angela’s land! We stayed in Casa Avecita which was well kept and fully accommodating. There are some nice small town places to eat in the area such as “out of the way cafe” which add to the stay. There are kayaks and tubes available as well as all safety gear for rent which they make easily accessible. I wish I could leave ten stars!!! Thanks again y’all!

We had the most amazing weekend getaway at this beautiful tiny home in East Texas! The property is absolutely stunning—Will and Austyn are clearly putting so much love and care into the land, and it shows. The tiny house itself was perfect: cozy, clean, and thoughtfully designed for comfort. After a day of exploring the nearby area, soaking in the hot tub under the stars was pure magic. Will and Austyn were the best hosts—so warm, welcoming, and fun to chat with. We truly felt at home. We’ll definitely be back!

Leah’s place is such a peaceful and welcoming spot! The land is spacious and beautifully maintained, with lots of room to spread out and enjoy nature. I was greeted by her sweet and friendly dog, which was such a fun surprise. The pool is perfect for cooling off on a warm day, and there’s a cozy hammock tucked under the trees that’s great for relaxing with a book. I also loved the fire pit area—it’s a great setup for sitting under the stars. Overall, it’s a quiet, charming spot with everything you need for a relaxing outdoor getaway.

Will and Austin are awesome hosts! There was a slight mixup (probably our fault) in our reservation but they upgraded me to the awesome tiny home for night two. It was brand new. Austin gave me a great tour and history of the property at midnight when I finally arrived. Was still there to greet me! Great place. Not far from a beautiful lake. Bring your kayaks and enjoy the east Texas life for a bit!

Will and Austyn went above and beyond to share the history and beauty of family land while also providing a safe haven of glam and convenience to feel like you are amongst the wild but feeling safe, accepted and valued. I grew up not far from here. And this area has always brought me back - despite my endless travels to find other semblances of home in nature or culture. I recognize that the piney woods of East, TX have always been home to me and especially to the city girl that left when she was 18 for “more”. The people here are family forward, embrace all things nature and have down home values - while also providing the land with as much nourishment as it gives us. And Will and Austyn are leading the path for generations to come. They will let you be in solitude if you choose, but they can also be the best guides and companions for an unforgettable escape amongst the wild. My heart is full and my friend list has grown. I will always go back. But, I wouldn’t be able to say that if I never went in the first place. :)

Sundancer On The Brazos sits on Comanche Creek in an isolated forest on a 350 acre working cattle ranch with a quarter mile of river frontage! The Comanche were quite active up and down this part of the Brazos when the earliest settlers arrived around 1850, until the Comanches' eventual conquest by the Texas Rangers and their Colt pistols around 1870; we have found lots of flint and some arrowheads on high places here. Going further back in history, the Fuller's Folly River Ranch has an abundance of petrified wood, they say that if you have fossilized sea shells you were under water, but if you have petrified wood you had land creatures. Hunting for petrified wood is a fun adventure here. (But leave them for the next person to discover!) Weatherford is only 10 minutes away and Granbury is only 20 minutes away; both have great restaurants. And this close to Fort Worth (30min), you could actually commute and have a ranch to come home to at night--note the lower pricing mid week.
