There is no running water, no electricity and no WiFi at the campsite. There is a picnic table, some chairs, a fire ring with some firewood and a portable toilet. This site is suited to tent camping, car camping and small RV "dry camping". There is relative privacy, hopefully starry nights and campfire provisions. Guests share a pasture with livestock and wildlife.
Weather in all its variations is part of camping. If you are not prepared to deal with whatever the weather may be, you should consider another option. We encourage guests to research this destination before booking, carefully review our cancellation policy, and consider buying travel insurance to protect against unexpected travel disruptions. We have neighbors, and although the place is relatively large, and we don't anticipate a problem, there is no guarantee that you will not be bothered by some kind of noise. Likewise, we don’t want our neighbors bothered by any noise coming from you. People live out in the country to enjoy separation of space. Please be considerate of others and keep noise to a minimum. Observe quiet time after 9 pm and before 8 am.
The country roads in this area are paved and they are excellent for walking, bicycling and driving. There are “cattle guards” in the roadways. Cattle guards are steel pipe obstacles along a road intended to prevent livestock, such as sheep and cattle from passing out of a fenced area.

Our main residence sits on 4.5 acres of a private estate/micro ranch. You may get a visit from “Tucker” the ranch dog, see "Bullseye" the mini-horse, "Woody", the mini-donkey, “Jesse” the cow or "Buzz and Bo-Peep" our Camaron Sheep.
We have two pool cabanas are across the pool from the main house for a stay with modern conveniences.
-The Casita (1 queen/1 single bed) sleeps 3 with a kitchenette and a full bathroom.
-"The Bunkhouse" is still comfortable with a King Size bed (we can also convert to 2 singles if needed). This unit has a seperate living space with a mini-fridge and microwave, but no bathroom in the unit. We have an outdoor shower and poolside bathroom for use.
-We also have 2 campsites on the open space for tent setup and camping under the stars. (no outdoor fires allowed) Access to the outdoor shower and pool bathroom.
-The pool area is a shared space during your stay.
Our property is mostly wooded, so please don’t be surprised by the occasional critters.

Classic tiny homes for 1-2 adults (some can also fit 1-2 kids). All are private kitchenettes and bathrooms. Laundry Room is coin-operated washer and dryer (bring quarters).
Lake access is walk in- no launch-no trucks allowed in that area, we have 2 natural fishing piers. Need fishing license. This 100 acer lake is accessed only by 4 private ranches and 1 city dock. Very private and resort-like.
We just opened a new RV Park! 8 spots, spacious, 4 huge drive in, 4-back in- all utilities included (30/50/120 electric, septic, water, trash, wifi)- good to go!

The Hideout is a wonderful spot to relax and enjoy the peacefulness of nature. Cozy and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. Everything is clean, modern and comfortable. A great spot for stargazing! The wildflowers were blooming and beautiful. The river access area is incredible but you definitely need a 4x4 to navigate the area. I highly recommend this place!

This place was so great in every way - the deck was perfect for coffee, a cocktail, and a dip in the hot tub. Jessica was so responsive and helpful, the trail on the property was awesome and we explored all over. There was so much attention to detail here and it’s an outstanding place to stay. So eclectic. Still close to everything, but sitting on the deck was quiet and full of nature. Even enjoyed peeping some chicks with the chickens that were roaming around 🥰

Weekend Trip to 13 Acres Meditation Retreat
The community and vibe was great. everyone was respectful and abided by the rules. The Awaken cabin was perfect for me. Animals are not allowed in this one but are allowed at other cabins, and this makes sense because it is so small, 1 human fits perfectly in there. I would and will likely come back to this campground soon, love their property and they had everything you need.

A great place for a couple of nights away! Spacious and beautiful backyard, which our dogs certainly enjoyed. Since weather was rainy and wet, we didn’t get to use the outdoor space, but it would’ve been the best spot to unwind and hang out. Plenty of outdoor furniture and a beautiful deck. Great space inside, too, with everything we needed for a couple of nights away. Would definitely stay again if our travels take us that way.

2 nights at Glamping Remote
I loved camping on Will and Austyn's land. They met us with a warm hello a tour upon arrival. The tent was located towards the back of the property, tucked away nicely. We had the whole camp to ourselves, which was GREAT! We wanted a nice and quiet trip, which is what we got. The tent itself was cozy. Before we arrived, Will and Austyn set up our tent and bathroom area with heaters, turned on and ready to go. That was an AMAZING touch. The night we arrived, the low was 25 degrees. But it actually got hot in the tent, I was sweating. They also provided an electric blanket! Again, a wonderful touch that they didnt have to provide.
The wifi was Great! If you want to unplug completely, great. But we needed the service for Emergency calls back home.
The community kitchen was great! It had almost everything we needed. The bathroom was warm because of the space heater and fully stocked with essentials!
Now a couple of things to think about:
If you're a coffee drinker, bring k cups. Thats what was inside the tent. Or it will be a process to use the French press. Personally, not my thing, but im a HUGE coffee drinker.
The kitchen isnt heated, so cooking was painful the first night only because it was so cold. But the soup we made was worth it.
Spiders... everywhere. Lol its expected... only daddy long legs but be aware if you a terrified of spiders like myself.
Lighting in the tent was low, bring a lantern! Theres a spot to hang one.
All in all it was WONDERFUL! WILL be back!

My husband, dogs, and I stayed in The Hideout and it was the perfect cozy space with everything we needed. Communication was top notch and river access for fishing was a definite perk. We saw plenty of wildlife during our stay as well.

Lost horizon was a great experience for us. I’m in my 40’s and we enjoy camping but I am not into communal living or multiple units close together. This offered the seclusion we wanted and a fair price. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or at least a full size suv to get down the last stretch of road to the sites. Everything else is just as noted on the site and within the website for the property. Don’t hesitate to book!
