Excellent Getaway into Nature!
Our family came to the ranch for a quick getaway over the kidsâ spring break and had the best time. The accommodations were terrific - super clean, all that we needed was provided, even some extra board games for the kids to play. The town of Hico was close and super charming. Kara, our host and her husband even met us one evening so that the kids could feed the animals and she was extremely helpful and responsive throughout our entire stay. Highly recommend!

Perfect Tiny House Experience
My family and I had a great time in Tiny House 6 at Tiny Town at GSD Ranch. The cabin was the perfect size for the 6 of us (2 adults and 4 kids). The beds, pillows, and linens were cozy. The kitchen had everything we needed (appliances, cookware, dishes, utensils) for a long weekend stay. The bathroom was clean with a nice size shower. The kids loved the loft and games toys provided by our host. The cabin was nice and clean! The only suggestion I would have is to add more/better seating in the common area. There were 2 tables and chairs in there, but a couch or loveseat would have been nice. There is plenty of outdoor space to play, animals to feed, and the groundskeeper gave the kids a bucket of feed for the goats and sheep. The kids LOVED hand feeding them. The cows and donkeys were super friendly and I loved seeing the kids interact with them.
Our host was a great communicator from start to finish. She provided precise directions to the site, and photos that would incredibly helpful. Thank you Kara for a great experience. We'll definitely be back!

Great location, relaxing experience
I booked the cabin for my parents to watch the 2024 eclipse. The cabin was clean and cozy. The location was perfect. They watched the spectacular event right outside the cabin with minimal clouds. There were also donkeys and sheep at the ranch. The host was nice and prepared small gifts (snacks, booklets, eclipse glasses) for my parents.

Great Family Tiny Home
My family had a nice, relaxing long weekend here. The house had just enough room for us all to sleep after days hiking at the nearby state parks. My kids loved all the animals and exploring the wooded areas. We usually camp, but this was a nice upgrade!
