Darion was super friendly and helpful. It's a shame this site is is changing hands and will most likely not be a hip camp anymore. But I will be sure to follow darion to the new property.

We enjoyed our stay. Darion is a great host and communicator. We set up near the back and had easy access to the toilet and community kitchen. There's also a little dam on the property as well. We had a quiet time, just camping, reading and playing board games. We spent most of the day time exploring Marysville and going on walks. The dogs also had a blast and other campers had well behaved dogs as well. It's not far from Marysville and there's plenty to do. Thanks for having us Darion.

Unfortunately was very disappointed with this site. Over priced and over rated. The description noted toilets, a camp kitchen and an outdoor "cold" shower. Didn’t plan on using the camp kitchen or shower but the portaloo toilets were are a disgrace they clearly hadn't been cleaned for some time. The "camp kitchen" was a mess and again had not had any attention for quite a while, couldn't see any sign of an outdoor shower. The site was OK easily accessible and quiet. We were the only guests and did not see any sign of the host. Way overpriced at $72 per night. The only plus was the short walk to the nearby Buxton Hotel. Would not recommend this site.

Great communication from Darion, and good facilities including two portaloos, a shower, a kitchen with a big fridge/freezer, running water, a bbq and a gas stove. Had a lovely three nights!

Host had great communication! Camping spots are a good distance apart. Little fire pits are super cute and easy big enough for a fun camp fire. Walk to mixing of the waters was short and very worth it.

I booked a night stay here in the first week of January which was a great option given a spontaneous bike-packing trip.
Darion was always very responsive and respectful to my enquiries.
The site was easy to access and was kept very nice and clean. We didn’t mind the cold showers as it was a hot day of riding. The outdoor kitchen with running water and appliances were great facilities to have as we were packing quite light.
As with any campsite (not just here), I would recommend to have some bug repellent and fly/mosquito netting from dusk onwards.

Loved camping at Outbound Retreat. The property is beautifully painted, with extra luxuries like 2 toilets, and a cute camp kitchen, we had everything we needed and lots more. Convenient location to lots of lovely walks. Watching the ducks land on the dam was nice to see too.

Easy to find & large flat area in the paddock closest to the wood shed. Portaloos were clean & water on tap was really handy. If you camp near the wood shed just be aware that a security light kept turning on every time I moved. A loud pump or generator would routinely go off as well. Along with the noise of cars (100km/hr) right along the frontage made it a noisey place to stay.

Gorgeous little spot. Bit of road noise, otherwise peaceful. Home to some friendly ducks.
Portaloo was handy (BYO tp recommended) as was fresh water and kettle.
Lots of cooking gear if you need as described.
Fire pit and wood were available for $10 which was a nice bonus, byo firestarters.
Was a few other folks there, all peaceful and happy in their own space which suited us.
The spot can get heavy dew.

The campsite is very subtle, and rest assured you’ll feel secured once you arrive.
During the day you will occasionally here a car pass by, but at night time it’s a beautiful serene retreat.
We were super lucky we had clear skies the night we stayed, the sky was full of stars.
The site and facilities are as advertised, provided are well maintained. This goes to show the host, Darion, is not just welcoming, but also genuine.
Would be looking to visit again in the later future

Had a wonderful stay at Buxton. Beautiful lake and well maintained grounds. Darion was a delightful host. We were right in town with many activities to keep us entertained.
The highway noise took a little getting used to so perhaps look for something more remote if you are after tranquility.

A great place to stay. Lots of space and very peaceful. Closer to the road than some places I've stayed but I didn't hear any traffic.
The kitchen facilities were superb, and fridge was super useful.
Darion was also really friendly, responsive and provided good information beforehand. We would definitely stay again!

We had a great time at Darion’s farm and enjoyed an inspiring conversation with him too. There was an outdoor kitchen with water and a big fridge. Spacious sites and quiet surroundings. Nearby many places with different activities from fishing, hiking to mountain biking. We drove around to sightsee and it was beautiful :)
