Due to an over demand we require weekend stays during the Summer months November to March to be a minimum two night stay. Guests are required to check in on Fridays, with Friday and Saturday nights as the two night minimum. Weekends during this period need to be booked by contacting hosts who will open the sites on the calendar on request to allow the booking to be done online. Those guests requiring a longer stay that overlap a weekend can also be accommodated. Just give us a call and we will find a spot for you. If you are checking dates and a weekend is open, then luck is with you and I have opened the calendar as I'm working on site. If this is the case, single night stays can be booked. *_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_*_* Looking for a peaceful and secluded spot to park up whilst exploring the Yarra Valley winery region, the Dandenong Ranges, or some of Melbourne's close regional towns like Healesville, Yarra Glen and Warburton? We have opened up a beautiful flat expanse at the rear of our five acre property and made it available to self contained campers and caravaners. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them. Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road. Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets. We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know. Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC. There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you. We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover. All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available. We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available. We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property. Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here. Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

Site 4 is located on a flat parcel of land at the rear of the property overlooking the vineyard. This site sits alongside a couple of container sheds but these are behind your van and pretty much out of sight once parked. This site is the premium sheltered site and the most suitable for 'big rigs' as it gives best exposure to sun without shadowing from branches. It has the closest access to the el fresco area and has the most grassed area directly out of the caravan door. Once unhitched you can park your vehicle at the front or rear of your van as you like. There's plenty of room for both. Most of our guests who have used this site love it the best, particularly those with kids as they have so much open grassland to play on directly off the camp. Views to the vineyard can be restricted if there are vans on Sites 1 and 2, but the openness of the site and the massive grassed area more than make up for it. As an additional bonus, for a small fee I can get power to this site. **If you wish to have family or friends visit whilst staying with us, please arrange this with Rob or Suzie prior to their arrival.

This site is NOT suitable for camper trailers, caravans, RV's and motorhomes. More suited to 4wd vehicles with RTT's. Perfect for backpackers and 4x4 travelers needing a secure and private tent site. This is our second stay with Rob at Yarra Valley Vineyard Views, and we’re about to lock in another week — that says everything! This time we chose Site 3, which looks out over a beautifully landscaped pond framed by the surrounding vineyard rows. Even in winter, the magic is absolutely real. Foggy mornings, the vines stripped back to their bones, kangaroos silhouetted against a golden sunset — it’s the kind of scenery that makes you put the phone down. The property itself is a gem. Surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helen’s Hill vineyard, you feel utterly tucked away from the world, yet only five minutes from everything you need. You can even wander through the vines to visit the winery next door — which we absolutely did, more than once with our fur babies. With the Yarra Valley’s cellar doors, restaurants, and incredible scenery all on the doorstep, this is honestly the perfect base to explore the region. But the real heart of this place is Rob. He is, without question, one of the most genuinely hospitable hosts you will ever meet. He meets you on arrival, shows you around, and goes out of his way to make sure your stay is everything it should be. Whether it’s local knowledge, a hot tip on where to go, or practical help with your van or setup. His knowledge of caravanning and 4WD is exceptional, and his warmth makes you feel like a welcome guest rather than a booking number. Don’t waste your time looking elsewhere, Book it & book longer than you plan.

Beautiful views of the vines at local winery. Very private and saw kangaroos in the evening. So close to Melbourne so a very easy get away we were there within an hour, perfect for a night or two

Absolutely incredible stay at Yarra Valley Vineyard Views Campground on Hipcamp — this place is something special. You’re literally surrounded on two sides by endless rows of grapevines from Helen’s Hill Winery just around the corner. Some sites have sweeping vineyard views that feel straight out of a postcard, while others tuck you into your own private dam oasis with the vines as your backdrop. There are different levels and layouts to suit everything from big rigs to smaller setups, and each one feels thoughtfully positioned. The host, Robert, really makes the experience. He’s one of those genuinely interesting, kind people who clearly takes pride in what he’s built. Retired, hands-on, always tinkering — and he truly enjoys having guests there, which shows in every detail. If you’re looking for a peaceful, scenic stay in the Yarra Valley with a bit of character and charm, this is hard to beat.

We were welcomed with a friendly hello and recommendations for what to do around the area. Robert was a great host. It was a stunning spot, surrounded by grape vines and a short walk to the cellar door. Beautiful, fresh grass and next to a little pond. Quiet spot that we would definitely love to return to!

Beautiful property. Amazing views of the vines and lovely grass to set up on. Robert was very helpful and friendly. We walked the 350 metres to Helen’s Hill winery next door. We had an amazing lunch and great wine tasting. We will be back.

We stayed at Yarra Valley Vineyard Views and, honestly, it’s the most beautiful, scenic, and immaculately maintained Hipcamp we’ve ever experienced. If only more places were run to this standard. The setting is exceptional, and everything is clearly cared for with a lot of attention to detail. But what really sets it apart is the host—Robert is outstanding. It genuinely felt like his priority was making sure we were enjoying every part of our stay. If there were a score higher than 10 out of 10, this place would deserve it. Highly recommended.

This is an exceptional Hipcamp. With views of beautifully maintained vineyards rolling out in 2 directions, the views are stunning. Birds fly between the nearby gum trees and all sites have plenty of level space with lush green grass to set up the caravan and park your tow vehicle. Highly recommend!

The location is incredibly beautiful for a campsite and offers stunning views of the vineyard. It’s conveniently close to shops and restaurants and not far from Melbourne either. Robert, the host, is awesome and very friendly. You could even walk to the vineyard from back of this property.

What an amazing property!!! Robert is such a friendly welcoming host that is extremely focused on the people coming to stay. The views are just beautiful, the property is so quiet and tranquil with views to die for. Robert gave incredibly detailed instructions that were so helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, but certainly suited to anyone who wants a nice quite relaxing stay.

The views were gorgeous and Robert was so kind! We came in after visiting one of the local wineries. We had no trouble finding the site and were able to enjoy a local bottle of wine with stunning views! Our favorite part was watching the kangaroos hop through the vineyard at dusk. A bonus for us is this site is located within 10 minutes of a grocery store and fast food options.

We loved this hip camp. The views are spectacular, with Vineyards surrounding the whole place. We walked to Hellen’s vineyard and spent the afternoon chilling and enjoying beautiful wine. Rob was a tremendous host and welcomed us on arrival and kindly offered us an upgrade to another site . Highly recommend if you want to spend the weekend either chilling or enjoying the beautiful Yarra Valley
