The property is bordered by he Murrundini River on one side, 1km, with hill side views on the other. All campsites have easy access the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Site One is a large flat area close to the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. All sites and river swimming are clothing optional, but please respect other campers in public area's if on site. In response to a recent review, I will point out that the driveway is a gravel farm track. Normal 2Wd cars have not had any recent issues. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). I am hoping to increase the nesting and habitat for as many local birds as possible, which has improved, but can get better with Your help. Not destroying large logs and tree's is first and foremost. But if you are inclined , funds for creating nesting spots are greatly appreciated. You can directly ask for donations to go towards specific prospects/ projects. Tawney frog mouths, king parrots, and many, many other birds call this place home. For donations specific to conservation, please contact me direct. With recent changes, Temporarily, removing site 2. please contact me for regulars. With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

Opening during Protea season for pick your own flowers and sheep feeding. Made up of 15 acres of working land and 35 acres of bush land. We have a 2-acre orchard with seasonal fruit available to be picked. (March) The farm has over 100 king protea bushes and many other varieties of protea. Seasonal pick your own flowers too. (mid Aug - early Jan) Backing onto the national park and walking tracks. Jehoshaphat Gully, Shelley Harris Track, Mt Jerusalem Track. Walking distance to Kinglake historic walk, Cookson Hill Track, Mt Everard Track, Bollygum Park. Visit Mason Falls Waterfall, 12-minute drive to Kinglake West. We have 1 dogs, 3 goats, 5 pet sheep and seasonal lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking. Perfect for star gazing the Milky Way and Nebulas. During fungi season, there are so many varieties to be found. Small playground with swings, slide, monkey bars and sandpit. The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm - Except January The St. Andrews market is every Saturday, 9am to 1pm just 12 minutes down the mountain. Whittlesea market is on every Monday 9am - 1pm We manage 3 sites on our farm, 2 camping, 1 van.

There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Amplified music is not allowed. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields. Pyrenees Wine region is a short drive away.

Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Our 25 acre Hipcamp area is located safely within our 300 acre property which enjoys approximately 5 kilometres of pristine and private Murray River frontage in the beautiful rural city of Albury. Willowbank is a fourth generation cattle farm and when you arrive at Willowbank you will feel like you are a million miles away from anywhere but you are only 2.8km from the centre of Albury and 2.9km to Wodonga from our sites . We are less than 5 minutes away from the beautiful South Albury cafe and boutique shopping precinct; Ebden and Olive, Nannina's, Meraki, Platform 9, South Albury Take Away, Di Billet, Almar Organics, Sukor Wellness and Recovery, The Red Devil Brewery, Tucker on Townsend, Chic to Chic and more. We are also only 3.5km from Harris Farm Markets. Albury's public Dump Point at Albury Railway Station is less than 5 minutes away. Each of our camping sites is well away from each of the others and there is plenty of room at each site for children to play. The three best sites for swimming are The Crossing, The River Bend and The Willows . We encourage the use of life jackets for children in the water at all time. We have no toilet or shower facilities at any of our sites so you are required to bring your own toilet with you. All waste must be removed at the end of your visit. With notice, we can arrange portaloo hire should you need, please enquire with us prior to booking. We have no access to drinking water and if you decide to use river water for drinking we do recommend that you boil the water. Swimming, floating, paddling in the Murray River is a sublime pastime. Please be aware though, that the Murray River has a very fast and strong current. Looking to hire a canoe, we recommend you contact Dave/ Murray River Canoe Hire (0417 691 339) for a canoe to paddle around your campsite or to do a beautiful canoe trip on the Murray River from Doctor's Point to Noreuil Park. It will take a few hours and yes you will go past your camp site! We do have an area to launch your motor or paddle boat or jet ski We are on the banks of the magnificent Murray River and all our four sites are absolute river frontage with uninterrupted views up, down and across the Murray River. Lakeside Escape with Space for Caravans, Campers & Tents Located on the edge of the lake, our gorgeous lake house can accommodate a caravan or motorhome on a designated parking pad. There’s also plenty of room to pitch a tent or swag on flat, grassy areas. A huge deck provides the perfect spot to relax and soak up the sun. The lake house includes a small kitchenette and a separate toilet and shower. Bring a fishing rod to try your luck catching silver perch, or nets for yabbies — there are plenty! There’s an abundance of birdlife, including cockatoos, rosellas, king parrots, kookaburras, and tawny frogmouths. Kangaroos and echidnas often pay us a visit, too. A grassed area with a fire pit is situated a few metres from the lake house, and firewood is available for purchase. Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead. A grassy dog enclosure is available for guests who wish to explore the area while leaving their pet in a safe space. If you would like to bring your pet, please add the pet fee which is listed as an Extra during the booking process. A wood-fired pizza oven, located in a separate undercover area, is available for use. Lovely bushwalks, motorbike, and horse tracks are located close to the property. World-class surf breaks are within a half-hour drive, with Bells Beach being the most iconic. Torquay is home to surf shops and eateries — Rip Curl, Billabong, Roxy, and Rojo are all within walking distance of each other. You’ll also find great local breweries such as Four Pines and Bells Beach Brewery. Torquay and Anglesea both have vibrant arts scenes — the Ashmore Arts hub is located in Torquay, and Anglesea is home to the Arts Shed. The Eagles Nest Gallery in Aireys Inlet also hosts exhibitions by local artists. Markets are held regularly on the foreshore in Torquay and Anglesea, and there’s a weekly Farmers Market in Torquay.

Set on 50 acres of farmland just 15km from Myrtleford, our property offers over 1km of pristine Buffalo River frontage. Whether you’re a family looking for a safe, fun spot for the kids, a couple seeking a peaceful getaway, a group of friends, or a keen angler chasing your next catch, you’ll feel right at home here. Book a site and the entire space is yours. Each site is private, can fit a large number of campers, and is set apart from the other sites, guaranteeing ample space and privacy. Riverside: The first campsite, with a spacious flat lawn and rustic shade shelter, just 20 metres from a beautiful sandy river beach. Rocky River: The second site is set in a peaceful bush area only 20 metres from the river. This shady, tranquil spot is a favourite for those wanting a natural camping experience. The Pines: Located near the end of the property, around 600 metres beyond Riverside and Rocky River. This flat, shaded and secluded bush site sits roughly 50 metres from the river. With loads of open space and flat ground. Far End: As the name suggests, Far End sits right at the very end of our property and offers the utmost peace and privacy. This flat, shaded campsite is just 10–20 metres from the river and surrounded by trees, making it a favourite among returning guests. Nearby attractions: -Lake Buffalo for watersports and fishing -Bright and Myrtleford for bike trails, cafes and markets -Mount Buffalo and Mt Hotham for hiking or snow trips -The famous King Valley Wine Region Whether stargazing by the fire, fishing at dawn, or exploring the High Country, Buffalo River Retreat offers space, serenity, and a welcoming atmosphere for an unforgettable stay. Notes: Campfires are welcome in designated firepits. FIREWOOD: 1 X $25 bundle = 1 wheelbarrow full. Add as an extra when booking for wood at campsite on arrival. If you need more wood while camping, we will kindly deliver it to your campsite! **IMPORTANT NOTE: To avoid disappointment, please take note of the limits on the listing regarding vehicle size, and see the note below regarding caravans** Clear Springs is a very special spot, offering sweeping views over rolling hills, and across to the ocean. King Island lighthouse is visible on clear nights, and there are koalas and wallabies in abundance. Whilst we require you to BYO toilet, we do have hot shower, woodfired hot-tub, power, water and phone reception. The site is all-weather access, and is just a 7-minutes drive to the Apollo Bay township. Once you catch your breath after initially taking in the sweeping, majestic ocean views, you can find a spot to pitch your tent or park your van. You drive in through a locked farm gate into the fenced camp area. There is not an abundance of flat area, so may not suit if you need large level space. We don't accept multiple bookings, so the space is all yours. You can choose from a few different spots with near-level ground (choose grass or gravel). The site is open to the amazing ocean views to the south yet the area is nestled among mature trees to give privacy and shelter. There are very few houses dotted around the area and not a single busy road within earshot. There is 240v mains power (BYO lead and plug into switchboard). And a tank with spring water (natural and untreated, we've been drinking it for years) and a pressure pump (BYO hoses as needed). There is an outdoor gas-heated shower. We also have a woodfired hot tub available for guests, BYO firewood. Our listing is intended for people looking for a private, tranquil and well-serviced camping area with several bonuses such as power, water, telstra reception, and a hot tub (BYO firewood). And no other guests to worry about. It's much more than a patch of grass! But please BYO toilet - this is mandatory - and leave no trace to allow other people to enjoy the beauty of our property. **PLEASE NOTE** - not suitable for medium-large caravans, and if towing, it's essential you are comfortable manouvering in tight spaces. Also note the bitumen road has signs advising against caravans (presumably because turning around can require reversing into a driveway).

Weekend Trip to Glenmaye Farm – Creekside Camping

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful location. The campsite was level, spacious and private, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. The compost toilet facilities were exceptionally well set up and clean. The walk to the waterfalls is an absolute must—it's a beautiful experience and one of the highlights of the stay. A special thank you to Matine and Hamish, who were warm, welcoming and fantastic hosts. They made us feel right at home and helped make our visit truly memorable. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful camping getaway.

Beautiful quiet spot with lovely views. My dogs loved being able to sniff and explore the property off leash. The outdoor shower/bath and hot tub were excellent. It did rain throughout my stay and it got quite muddy (expected at this time of year and no fault of the property). Just a friendly reminder to pack extra towels if camping with dogs for those muddy paws.

Love it! This place is great. Sharelle and Michael are very friendly and helpful. My van is bit heavy and stud in mud(after a raining night and very wet on arass. hence | parked at a sliaht slot make it harder to get out). Shower and toilet are handy for pople need to use, around 100m from camp but don’t complaint as this it part of the joys. Feeding highland cows and pony are such a bonus! Kids love it. Please respect the land and owner, keep it tidy and clean so next camper could enjoy the same fun!

Beautiful property. All the little details made this a 5 star hipcamp. The hammocks, fairy lights, firepits, benches, kids swings and games, immaculate toilet, outdoor shower. Very impressive. Sites are flat and have amazing views. Very peaceful and sharelle was a welcoming friendly host. The highland cows are adorable and the kids loved feeding them and the chickens and pony and getting cuddles from the baby chick's. Highly recommend 😊😊

We had a fantastic stay at Galea Ranch! It's in the perfect location for exploring Marysville, the Cathedral Ranges, and the many beautiful waterfalls, which were flowing spectacularly after the heavy rain earlier in the week. The property was immaculate and clearly designed with campers in mind. There were great fire pits, fun play areas for the kids, and our children absolutely loved feeding the Highland cows and the other friendly animals. Sharelle was wonderful to deal with, making the booking process easy and communicating clearly throughout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning to explore more of the area

Weekend Trip to Grampians Old Man Emu Stay

We loved our time at Old Emu Stay. The location, just outside Hall's Gap was perfect and easy to get to. We have a very large van and ute, the property was easy to access and the campsites were very generous in space. We enjoyed that there was a selection of campsites to choose from, each with a firepit and wooden bench. The whole campsite felt secure and homely, and is well maintained. The Kangaroos, emus and variety of birds moving through the site were a real treat. The kids loved exploring and being able to ride their bike around. Plenty of freshly dug wombat holes around with lots of smells to keep our dog Simba busy. Nice clean toilet which was a bonus. Where to go

Great Ocean Road

The Great Ocean Road west of Melbourne is one of the world's great scenic road trips, but there’s much more to see and do than snapping a selfie at the Twelve Apostles rock stacks. Zipline above the rainforest in Great Otway National Park, climb lighthouses, watch whales, surf iconic Bells Beach, and pitch a tent on any one of several beachside camping areas. Road tripping doesn't get much better than this.

Gippsland and the Bays

Gippsland stretches east of Melbourne to the sea and north to the border with NSW. Most of the coastline is protected by a string of national parks with fantastic seaside camping spots and holiday parks—and camping at Wilsons Promontory (locals just call it the Prom) on the mainland’s southernmost tip is a must-do at least once. This is also where you’ll find Phillip Island, home to the famous nightly penguin parade.

The Victorian Alps

The High Country is the place to go for winter snow sports and summer mountain bike trails, plus bushwalking. If that sounds too energetic, it’s also home to the Great Alpine Road, one of Australia's best food and wine touring routes (and yes, the scenery is pretty good too).

The Grampians

In the state's west, the Grampians are another mountain playground with a network of bushwalking trails, from quick 2-hour walking tracks to 3-day hikes in the Grampians National Park. This is also where campers can find the highest concentration of Indigenous art in the state. Opt for bush camping sites in the national park or more luxurious campsites at Halls Gap or Dunkeld caravan parks.

Murray Riverlands

Australia's longest river, the mighty Murray forms most of the border with NSW to the north, and all along its length are great beachfront campsites from where you can go for a swim or paddle a kayak, catch a fish, or sit back and watch the world glide by. Elsewhere in the riverlands, ride a restored paddle steamer at Echuca, take a cruise through the largest river red gum forest in the world at Barmah, and dine out in the foodie hot spot of Mildura.
