You'll be only 400 meters walking distance to the town centre and 50 meters from the cycling/walking tracks. Power and town water is available.
There is a fire pit, with seating. And we are dog-friendly! We do ask however that all guests be self-contained, with their own camp toilet, and kindly take all waste when you go.

Our 300-acre off-grid property backs onto the Barmah National Park. This forest, together with the adjoining Millewa forest, forms the largest River Red Gum forest in the world - it's majestic to explore. Our property is just 500 meters from the Murray River. From your camp, roughly a 1 kilometre walk through the forest. On our boundary is Backwater Creek, which fills with water when the Murray River is up.
NOTE: Creek is often dry. It has water in it after environmental flows of the Murray. This can happen several times a year and the water lasts a few months. If you have any questions about water levels please ask before booking as it might be dry when you're here.
We're located just 5kms north-east of Moama, where you can hop aboard a paddle-steamer, visit waterside wineries and soak up rich riverboat heritage.
We offer a few large, beautiful, basic bush camping sites (the best kind!) in amongst 50 acres of bushland, with 100's of meters and trees between you and other potential campers.
The rest of our property is used for cropping and sheep.
Campers must take out what you bring in.

Our private, riverfront secluded campsites are large and clean. All 6 sites are riverfront with power and fresh water supplied. They are relatively flat, level grass/dirt areas with gum trees peppered throughout the site for shade in summer.
We can accommodate any type and size of camping vehicle and 2WDs. Park your caravan or pitch a tent and relax.
For fishing and watersport enthusiasts there is access to a boat ramp. From camp there is sloping bank access to the water, steeper in some parts.
Guests will have access to a toilet, fire drums and cut your own firewood is available.

We had a lovely overnight stay at Badger Point with my husband and our pup. We spent some time fishing, enjoyed having the fire going in the evening, and found the campsite very comfortable. It was so peaceful and quiet, with amazing views all around. Our pup had the best time too. Such a perfect spot for a relaxing getaway!!

We had a great stay at Tim’s Hipcamp. The campsite was peaceful, private, and a beautiful spot to relax and enjoy nature. Tim was a great host — friendly, helpful, and easy to communicate with. The area was perfect for camping, relaxing by the fire, and enjoying some quiet time away. We’d definitely recommend staying here and would happily come back again.

Really well set up. We met friends 'halfway' from Adelaide (and their 2 little ones) and we all had a blast. Beautiful countryside, plenty of kindling around to scavenge as well as firewood available, and best of all a proper flushing loo - clean and comfy and it just added that extra bit of convenience to our stay. Kerry came down on arrival and popped past part way through our stay - she's a gem! Really friendly and just a good human!

Carmel is a wonderful host and have given me and my husband ideas where to go whilst at their site.
Walking trail just around the corner. Close to the Kyabram Fauna Park (a must see!), water tank art, relatively close to cafés. About the area, you'll have a steel pergola which is a nice addition giving us plenty of space. The campsite has its own kitchen with a bunch of equipments. Showers and toilets available as well. Very well thought out. Come night time, absolutely no air pollution. You'll see all the stars. Went out to witness the lyrids meteor shower in the wee hours of 23rd April, saw about 3 of them in a span of 20mins, glad we got to see that. All in all a very relaxing camping experience. Thank you so much Carmel for being a wonderful host😊💛

Where to go
Along the Murray River
The Murray River winds its way along the border of Victoria and New South Wales, affording plenty of options for boating, fishing, and bushwalking. Once you’ve explored the twin towns of Echuca-Moama, on opposite banks of the Murray River, set out to explore the riverside and pitch your tent or park your motorhome at one of the beach camping areas.
Barmah Lakes
A 45-minute drive northeast of Echuca, Barmah National Park sits on the shores of Barmah Lake, where you can hike through River Red Gum forests, fish for Murray Cod, and paddle along the scenic creeks. Bring your boat or canoe to explore Barmah Lake or neighbouring Moira Lake, and take your pick of several lakeside camping areas.
Murray Valley National Park
The Murray River winds its way north into the River Red Gum forests and Riverina wetlands of the Murray Valley National Park. Bushwalking, bird-watching, and paddling are the main pastimes in the park, and there are several campgrounds with tent, motorhome, and caravan sites available.
When to go
Temperatures soar in Echuca during the summer months, and the milder spring and autumn months provide more pleasant weather for river cruises and other outdoor activities. The liveliest time to visit is during one of Echuca’s annual events, such as the Southern 80 waterski festival and the Riverboats Music Festival, both in February.
