ATTENTION: 'A Country Shot' coffee van will be onsite each morning during the Labour Day and Easter weekends. Coffee, tea, hot chocolate, frappes, muffins, cakes, slices and cookies will be available. Welcome to Somerville Park, a 500 acre sheep farm at Fosterville. There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. There is also a toilet in a central location on one section of the property available for the convenience of campers. Fires are permitted out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast.

Sunset Ridge Site 1
We had a great stay here! So much space between sites so it felt very private. Lovely to be able to walk around and explore. Table + chairs + portable toilet made the stay comfortable ☺️ We will be back!

Valley View (Large groups)
Backyard Tournament Camping
We had a wonderful time camping at Valley View. Sheryl, Rebecca & Tom were incredibly welcoming and happy for us to use their space for a backyard games tournament (cricket, dodgeball, sack race ect.) as well as having a generator and speaker running with some music going. The Valley View site gives you space from the other campers to enjoy yourselves without being disruptive to the neighbours. We were also provided with a bench to sit at and porta potties around the property were available to use which was very handy indeed. Would love to visit here again, no complaints at all.

Gorgeous spot!
We loved our stay at Somerville Park! Communication beforehand and throughout was fantastic, as well as recommendations for things to do in the area - we hiked Mount Sugarloaf and checked out Rocky Crossing on the river, both were great! The camp sites are well spaced out so we felt like we had plenty of privacy. The sunset from our site was gorgeous and we loved watching the kangaroos on a morning and evening across the paddock. Our dogs loved swimming in the dam. Thank you for having us!

Great campground
Sheryl and Bec were extremely welcoming, they greeted us on arrival and also said bye on the last day. The camp sites were very spacious and we were in a paddock with sheep and kangaroos, it was great for our dogs who don’t like big crowds. I got to pet and feed the calves which was a highlight for me. Overall it was a great stay and Bec and Sheryl went above and beyond to ensure we were happy and enjoyed our stay ( which we did) and had great communication, informative about local attractions and were very kind, helpful and friendly 😊

Top Dam
Our First Camping Adventure 😍
Our first-ever camping trip at Top Dam was one for the books! It didn’t exactly start as planned (we missed a turn and got there a bit late), but the lovely family who owns the place waited for us and gave us the warmest welcome. Honestly, it felt like visiting old friends. They showed us around their beautiful spot, and wow, what a place! The sunset view was absolutely breathtaking – one of those moments you just have to pause and soak in. Nighttime was magical with the clear skies and calm surroundings, and waking up to the fresh morning breeze was such a vibe. Top Dam is an amazing camping spot – perfect for both peaceful nights and energizing mornings. We couldn’t have asked for a better first camping experience, and a big shoutout to Sheryl and her family for making it so special. We’ll definitely be back for more adventures!
