Welcome to Somerville Park, a 500 acre sheep farm at Fosterville. There are a variety of beautiful campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. Please note, all toilet waste is strictly to be taken off the property. Campfires are permitted in provided fire-pits or your own portable metal fire-pit out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. Some sites also provide chairs and table settings for your convenience. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to some sites on the property. The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away. The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast. Loud, party groups with music at high volume are not permitted. Chainsaws and motorbikes are also not permitted.

We were seeking a secluded weekend away from the crowds on cup weekend, and that's exactly what we got! A few local animals, nice and grassy areas, and only 20 mins from the heart of Bendigo!

We loved the camping experience at Somerville Park (Bendigo). The hosts were very friendly and the communication and information received prior to arrival was excellent. They even reached out to us during a lightning storm to check up on us, which my wife and I really appreciated.

We had a great time camping here. The communication with Bec was fantastic - very prompt and accomodating. The site was large and spaced well away from others. We were warned of some noise as the mines shift swap occurred but we didn’t notice it at all. Good distance away from the dam for having little ones with you but close enough to walk down to and enjoy! Thanks for a great stay Bec and Cheryl.

Lone Setting
Our group loved having such a large space to ourselves! Area had shade and was also lovely and open. Could see kangaroos in the morning. Gold mines are close by but noise is minimal, same with road noise. Rebecca was super lovely and even checked in on us during a sudden storm

Summerville Park was awesome for chilling out and finding some peace. 🌳✨ We got there on Thursday, right before the Melbourne Cup, and it felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. 🌍 There were not many campers until Saturday, and even then, it wasn't packed. The campsites are huge and spread out, so we weren't on top of each other. Bec was super helpful with all my questions before we got there. When she came to say hi, it was like we were old pals. 🥰 She's a dog person too, so she totally loved our three pups. 🐶 We even invited her to bring her mom, Sheryl, to meet my Prague Ratter and the two Kelpies. The sunset 🌇 from our spot was incredible, and if you're up early, you can just walk a few steps to catch the sunrise without bugging anyone. 🌅 We totally recommend Summerville Park for a chill weekend, where you can check out nearby towns and go for a bushwalk. 🥾 We found out Elmore Bakery is a must-stop for amazing pies and coffee. 🥧☕ The peace and quiet at Summerville Park make it the perfect spot to hang with farm animals 🐑🐂, watch wildlife 🦔🦘🦜, and just relax by the campfire and stargaze. 🔥🌌

Sunrise Ridge Site 1
Hosts were very accommodating and friendly. Sites were very well spaced and easy access with car/van setup. Short drive into Bendigo for Water Refill and Rubbish Dump. Great views, plenty of birds and kangaroos. NB This site requires you level up if youre planning to setup near the fire pit. Slopes down. You can hear and see road traffic from this site (but it was not a bother at all)

Valley View (Large groups)
Somerville Park is large plot which hosts a number of sites. Staying at Somerville Park - Valley View site was perfect for accommodating our extremely large extended family group. There was plenty of space for our large family's numerous tents. Kids had a blast cooking their marshmellows in the fire and enjoyed the open spaces to play and kick a ball. Fun to see the sheep, alpaca, the native birds and kangaroos. Hosts were a pleasure to communicate with, very informative, helpful and very responsive. Thank you Rebecca/Sheryl

Best spot for the kids and doggo to run around without interrupting others. Felt very private . Little bit of road noise and noise from the quarry but doesn’t take away from the beautiful bird life or secluded setting. Bec was very welcoming and accomodating. We will be returning.

Bec was a fantastic host and welcomed us to this amazing place to escape and relax. Plenty of space between each camp site. We loved the peace and quiet around a campfire as we watched the kangaroos come out to graze at dusk. We cannot wait to visit again.

Absolutely beautiful spot! Very private, lots of different spaces to chose from, all with their own gorgeous surrounds. Stunning vews and super lovely hosts! What a beautiful place to stay. Spent a couple of days on site doing a shakedown in our new van. We had some van issues and Bec and Tom were unbelievable on their assistance and help. The entire experience was wonderful. The sites are just lovely with plenty of wildlife and very private. We will be returning for sure.

Lovely wide open spaces where we could relax with a fire and the kids could go crazy on their bikes. Plenty of other people camping over the long weekend but the sites are spaced so generously apart that you feel like you are in your own private space.

We greatly enjoyed our camping trip at Somerville Park. The site was easy to find, with clear instructions to follow. It offers good privacy and ample space, making it especially suitable for larger groups. We were pleasantly surprised not to encounter any flies or mosquitoes. The only drawback was having to clear away sheep droppings from the camping area, but this did not detract from the overall experience. I would certainly recommend Somerville Park to other campers.

Fosterville Road Dam
Such a beautiful spot near the dam with plenty of space between sites for privacy. The directions were clear and easy to follow, with great communication from the host. Peaceful, quiet, and the perfect place to relax and unwind. Highly recommend for anyone. We’ll definitely be back!
