Somerville Park is a 500acre property at Fosterville, 20mins from Bendigo. There are a variety of campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. - Powered Sites - Unpowered Sites - Firepits at some sites (bring your own wood) - Table/chair setting at some sites - Toilet waste strictly to be taken off the property - Pets welcome (on leash) The property is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast. Loud, party groups with music at high volume are not permitted. Chainsaws and motorbikes are also not permitted.

Top Dam

Somerville Park Overflow
I felt like the only person in world. With drizzles of rain, the pups and enjoyed a very calm and peaceful stay on this glorious property. So distinctively Central Victorian, it would be the most fantastic place for families with kids to enjoy safe open country spaces. The doggies did enjoy finding the odd bone on our walks, Bec and Tom guided up beautifully and welcomed us warmly. A lovely peaceful stay.

Originally booked on Ruby's Place, but as there was noone else staying, the hosts suggested we check out Gunyah Dam and glad we did. It was beautiful, a very peaceful camp. Lovely hosts, super friendly and a beautiful property. Would highly recommend to others and definitely stay again if we are in the area

It was the best idea to go for camping at Sheryl's land for the Easter Weekend! Everyone had so much fun! Our spot - the Top Dam is beautiful! It was a delight waking up greeted by the Dam and the greeneries around. What really stood out with our stay is the effort the hosts has put into making everyone enjoy their Easter Weekend experience. They've organised a pizza night and easter egg hunt for everyone! The kids won't stop talking about it. Thank you Bec, Tom and Sheryl for everything. Would definitely recommend!

Spacious sites with beautiful views. Close to town but miles from anywhere We loved our time at Somerville Park. Sheryl, Bec and Tom were great hosts, Tom guiding us to our site when we arrived after dark (our fault). Can’t wait to return to unwind in this amazing location. We had a fantastic time at Somerville. The ability to feel alone yet knowing there were others staying on the property was amazing. Sheryl, Bec and Tom all dropped by to say hello and check to see we were okay. This is a fantastic place to chill out and relax. The amazing night skies had us playing Satellite spotted for ages while enjoying our fire. We will be back for sure.

I loved to camp at the Somerville park! It was really huge site and the owner was really friendly even we booked it last minutes. It was my first camping in my life :) We booked sunset view site but we arrived after sunset so they suggested to stay sunrise view for next day!! And we enjoyed the sunrise in the morning❤️ There were some kangaroos and songbirds to watch! And be able to enjoy morning walks and driving around the area! Highly recommend and we'll surely come back again!

I had a great night under the stars at Somerville Park. Communication from the hosts was fantastic and they even recommended I try a different campsite to the one I booked because they thought I would like it and they were so right. I spent my night solo camping on the banks of a small dam and creek listening to the frogs and looking at the stars, it was perfect.

Stayed at Sunrise Ridge Site 1. Great spot. Plenty of space. Owners Sheryl and Bec were super friendly and helpful. Can hear a bit of road noise but very easy to zone out. Really enjoyed our time away, and so did our mini poodle. Will be back to try another site :-)

Easy access to paddock from Somerville Lane - very roomy sites to provide plenty of space around every campsite even if all sites are occupied. Somerville Park is pure peace and quiet! It was exceptionally hot during our stay so Bec happily moved us to one of the new powered sites. Absolutely beautiful landscapes and loads of wildlife. We would definetely stay again!

Absolutely wonderful hosts Bec and her partner made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived They have made wonderful improvements the site were very good and unfortunately it was very hot 🔥 luckily we had power they turned on the sprinklers to give some creature comforts and settle the dust In all apart from the heat great stay highly recommended Kangaroo's roaming thru the paddocks Very quiet surroundings

Loved our time while camping on the land. Owners showed us to our site and with the hot weather coming, they suggested we could change spots if we wanted to so we could have more shade which we accepted. Kangeroos came to visit at dusk and had visits from the sheep.

This would have been a great stay if the weather was not as hot as it was. With 42 deg days predicted over three days we just struggled with the heat and had to leave early. There is plenty of space if you free camp and I would think it would be a great place to stay in Autumn winter time, the host was really friendly and accomodating. I would have no hesitation in recommending Somerville Park.
