Romantic sunsets with no one but the odd seal and sounds of the waves to disturb you. Beach fire at night is something special to do. The beach track is across from the front gate, there is no beach sign from the road because the public will then use the track which is only for Hipcampers and you wont enjoy the deserted beach. Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. This walking access is steep, easier tracks can be driven to down the road.Or take a dip in the river further down the road, and explore the waterways, with many birds; black swans in the lakes next to camp, plus kangaroos, wombats, emu and deer. There is a boat ramp just down the road to explore the river system. Perfect for water sports, and with fish cleaning tables at the wharf. Go by boat to the Marlo Hotel from the wharf straight over the river.Orbost is 15 minutes drive and has a supermarket, hotel, bottle shop and other conveniences. We are open to accepting larger group bookings, but please discuss this with us first. Other things you can do in the area: - Driving trips to High Country Scenic Route and exploring the High Country (4-5 hour round trip).- Visit the Buchan Caves about an hour into the High Country - they are amazing.- Explore Cape Conran & you can even Dive for Abalone and Crayfish.- Visit Lakes Entrance and buy Seafood from the Trawlers.- Drive to Mt Hotham ski resort and explore the Omeo High Country (3 hours)- Visit Gordon at the Opal & Gemstone House in Orbost and find out about the gold, geology and gemstones of the area, hearing first-hand stories about how the area was many years ago from a great local old-timer who loves to share his knowledge and the old ways things were done.

4 nights at Whip Stick Forest

Lovely safe flat mowed grass area with a central communal shed for shade and some trees. A great place for children. The power was great with extra long leads to borrow so you can take advantage of most areas on the property. Taps for drinking water. Nicely tucked away from the roads and private from the house but very convenient with the shops less than 3 KMs away. So nice to be next to the State park too with a private gate so you can explore the old gold mining area very easily. The shower and toilet were clean and a definite bonus. The many friendly dogs, cats and birds would delight children. A lovely spot. Recommended.

I had a beautiful experience staying in this place. The owner welcome me and tour me all around his place. Very clean and tidy. There is also hot shower. Very affordable price with everything included. I would love to stay there again if i had a chance. Coming from NT adventure around Australia.

Loved our stay. Plenty of areas to choose from with a vast amount of area so we can really feel like we are all alone. great with the dogs too as they had unlimited space to run. only note is check the wind and camp near some of the tree cover unlike what we did.

We loved our stay, and will definitely be back. The Olive farm was a perfect weekend escape from the hustle and bustle of life - we could slow down, soak in the sun, bird song and beautiful landscapes. Our 12 year old loved the kayaks available to paddle around the dam and up the creek. A great spot if you’re a bird watcher as we sighted many species.

The most gorgeous and private site, near a beautiful lake! amenities for everything you’d need including a fire pit (can also buy firewood) we only stayed for one night but wish it was longer, reminded us the true beauty in camping! Beautiful, relaxing camp. We stayed over cup weekend for 5 nights. By the end of our stay we were the only van on the property. Be prepared if the forecast is wind gusts it does gust we managed to stick it out for the one day gusts got up to 50km. Prue the host was informative and friendly with prompt replies. The tranquillity is worth it will definitely return.

We love the peace and quiet, the epic space, the awesome kayaking, the mob of roos that hop past every evening and morning, the bird life. Weekend Trip to Lancefield Lake's A WETLANDS WONDER

We had a fantastic time here. The property is beautifully maintained, with stunning lakes and plenty of space to relax. The campsites are well spaced out, private, and spacious. it never felt crowded. The bathroom facilities were excellent. clean, modern, hot water, and with two separate toilets, which made things so convenient. The hosts were fantastic and really welcoming. Our kids had an amazing time kayaking on the lakes and exploring the bushland — such a great spot for families. We’ll definitely be back!
