Beautiful property, a very tidy and special riverside spot. Enjoyed kayaking along the river. Wayne and Maria were both welcoming as too were their 2 dogs.
My first encounter was a lyrebird - surely a good indication.
Would highly recommend.

We had an incredible tent camping experience here! The scenery is absolutely beautiful, with the river flowing right behind the campsite. Most of the time, the only sounds were the water and crickets at night—so peaceful and relaxing.
Wayne was an amazing host—always friendly, helpful, and made sure we had plenty of wood for the fire pit. The toilets were consistently clean, which we really appreciated.
The swimming hole was a highlight, and the view from the fire tower is not to be missed. Our only minor challenge was the mosquitoes, so definitely come prepared with repellent—but that's just part of being in nature.
We'll definitely be back!

The best spot ever for camping. No phone signal but that is really good in case you want to disconnect from everything. Place very clean and toilets available. River just on the side. Good for hiking and fishing.

This spot was beautiful. Plenty of room to spread out away from other campers, very neat and tidy and although the swimming hole was a bit of a walk it looked amazing.
Would loved to have had access to the river from where we were camping, but it was still a great place

I loved our week staying at The Old Blackwood Timber Mill. We had the flat, grassed area to ourselves and with the river babbling in the background, it was very peaceful. Wayne was generous with off leash time for our dogs and they loved swimming in the river. Great place to stay and I would highly recommend it.

Excellent spot to camp. Toilets are good. Avcess straightforward for a 22 foot van. Easy to level. Close to river for inflatable boat (beautiful cruise down stream to Benn River Pub (great flathead tails)). Shame you can't see the river but you can go for a swim and you can hear the babbling sound at all times as it is only a few metres away. We could make a call by phone but set up Starlink in order to get data fast enough for web browsing and streaming. Convenient 3k drive to Bemm River store and easy drive to magnificent beaches. Well worth a stay. No potable water but plently of river water provided in 10 litre contsiners. Good sun available for solar, and when cloundy, we could run the generator for a couple of hours if we needed a boost.

Wayne is a great fellow and has a great place. It's well laid out and surrounded by wildlife. So many goanna about. It's a great place to chill. The Mens shed near by is a great place unless your a rego.

We loved camping at the Old Blackwood Timber Mills. We camped right next to the river access which was beautiful to swim in and loved that Wayne also had canoes available for us. There is also a beautiful swimming hole you can walk down to. Wayne was super helpful and I would love to return.

Absolutely beautiful place, well maintained and generous camping area with very close access to the Bemm river. Hosts could not be more friendly and helpful. Loved it, we'll certainly return at some stage.

I loved the camp areas. Clear enough but still well and truely in the bush. The fresh water rock pools are amazing. Wayne is a great guy and loves the land.
We loved our stay and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

We loved our time here, Wayne met us on arrival and welcomed us to the property. The space was beautiful and quiet despite 5 other groups there, we barely noticed! The swimming hole a short walk away was stunning to swim in on a hot day, we will definitely be back!

Well what to say
What an amazing place
Great location close to the river and a short drive from Bemm River lake
The water holes where fantastic you almost felt you were the only people in the world lucky enough to enjoy the beauty
And amazing wildlife
Wayne and Maria could not of been better hosts
Friendly and so incredibly helpful
Got myself in a bit of a pickle with my car
And they came to the rescue and with out their help I’m not sure what we would have done
So thanks so much to Wayne and Maria
Some of the most wonderful people you will ever meet

Such a fantastic stay. Stunning place to visit. Right on the river and you can hear it all night long, beautiful. Host were very welcoming and recommended some great spots to visits. Rock pools amazing. Not far from local pub. Definitely return… loved it!!!!
