As the name suggests, Far End sits right at the very end of our property and offers the utmost peace and privacy. This flat, shaded campsite is just 10–20 metres from the river and surrounded by trees, making it a favourite among returning guests.

My friend Emily and I had the best camping trip at Bayview Camping Jaswar’s Paradise!
The site was private, enclosed and had a beautiful view of the horses. John and Liz were kind, attentive and made us feel welcome - they happily helped transport us between the jetty and the general store, and even dropped off some much needed medication we’d forgotten. We were very lucky to meet their 130+ animals, pat the horses and pick some of their blackberries. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway not far from Melbourne.
This Hipcamp went well and truly above and beyond!

Second time at this lovely site. Enjoy the sunrise or a campfire with the generous amount of wood. Close to the Bellarine rail trail where we enjoyed a cycle to Queenscliff. We also enjoy golf and there are multiple options. We will be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at Buffalo River Retreat. The "Far End" is a great campsite, the river was close, and a great spot to cool off and in the rapids or in the deep water just downstream.
Patrick and Ian were extremely friendly and hospitable hosts. They even brought us some fresh fruit and tomatoes from their garden.
Its a short drive to Myrtleford for supplies, or lake Buffalo for a day out on the water.
I highly recommend this spot

My partner and I had a wonderful time at buffalo river the river was the best part so close to the camp site toilets were well kept will happily book with a big group next time.

It was wonderful. I had the riverside site which had a great beach entry into the swimming hole. There was a drop toilet nearby, very clean with toilet paper available. Both Ian & Patrick dropped by to say hello and have a chat. So relaxing just to sit and watch the cows come down on the other side of the river for a drink. I loved it and would recommend it to anyone.

A very relaxed and quiet 3 day stay beside the Buffalo River looking across the river to what could have been a Hans Heysen painting.
We chose the riverside camp as we enjoy swimming in the river.
Wonderful watching the cows across the river come to drink in the river each afternoon followed by the black cockatoos.
Just beautiful and no other campers to bother you.

My friends and I loved our camping stay at Ian and Patrick’s place. Such a beautiful location right next to the river, it was very peaceful. The Camp site was nice and shady, with plenty of spots for a tent or caravan, and toilet facilities were super clean. We will definitely be back to this gem.

Stayed Saturday and Sunday night with 8 adults and a toddler for the Australia Day weekend. Great shady trees, fire pit ready, plenty of fire wood available, public toilet across the road. Other campsites are quite close and easily visible. Site 2 is the closest for access.

Hugh was lovely and the site was very close to the beach, had lots of greenery and a built in fire pit. If you want super private camping the other campers are visible and you can hear anything too loud. The dogs had a great time running around chasing the ball with the size of the space and there were lots of trees for shade.
It’s a great site if you are wanting to spend time at ocean grove, barwon heads or port arlington etc.
