150 acres of river flats with beautiful big gums, lagoons and 1km length of ovens river frontage. A beautiful grassy, shaded area with stunning views, privacy and seclusion. The site has a lovely sweeping bend that has water that's suitable for families to swim in with some shallow water for littlies to paddle in. There is also some lovely sand for the kids to play in. Locally you are in the middle of the two famous valleys which offer some amazing gourmet experiences. You are within minutes from the King valley or the ovens Valley. And 50mins from Bright with all the beautiful towns and attractions on the way. You're spoilt for choice in this location for wineries, restaurants, berry farms. Famous town of Beechworth is only 30mins. Ideal location if you feel like leaving the magic camp ground that will provide you with a real sense of peace and relaxation with not a building in sight. Picturesque space with direct river access. Jump in your kayak and head downstream for a paddle, or jump in the car and head to one of the local wineries or beautiful towns locally. Or just sit back and relax with a book and soak up the relaxing space. Not a building in view. You may be lucky to see a koala or a deer during your stay. And you can sit back and watch the cattle graze from the comfort of your campsite. The campsite has the perfect swimming hole with the mix of shallow paddling water for families and then there are spots that are deep and refreshing for swimmers. Plenty of shade all day round under the beautiful mix of trees. If you like having a fish then you have come to the right place, enjoy some good fishing right at your door step. Good little spot to catch a Murray Cod or Trout Cod. A view of the mountains in the distance is also another plus for this site. Camp site 1 is better suited to groups of 15-20 campers

Site 4 is a site on its own. It is a great fishing site. It offers shade and sun, situated right on the river bank, you won't see any of the other campers. You will have to take a walk to access the river for a swim as this site is situated on a river bank that is too steep to get down to the water easily.

We had an amazing stay here!! Site 4 was extremely private. Beautiful waking up with a river view. No direct river access from site 4 but easy to walk to a swimming spot. Loved driving to the site with the cows roaming around. Highly recommend.

Second time staying here, we love it 5 days of 40+ degrees was a killer but that river is magnificent to cool off in! Cows at your camp in the morning are lovely, clean camp site, we were the only ones there all week. Couple general stores and local hotel only 10mins up the road.

My wife and I had a wonderful time during our 4 night stay. Nice green grass which meant the dogs didn’t get dusty. Plenty of room for both van and tow rig. Beautiful river to cool down in, with quick drives to some wonderful food and beverage places such as Brown Bros… Willowood is easily one of the best camp sites we have had the pleasure of visiting. We will be back definitely.

We had a great time at Willow Wood. Camp Site 1 has great access to a safe swimming section of the river. . We all had fun in the water - kids to grandparents! Plenty of shade and all grass. The beautiful Angus cows are a bonus.our second summer here. We’ll be back.

Great spot. Shade, sun, green grass and river front. Cooling off in the river was the best. Visiting cows during the day adds to the atmosphere.

Lovely place to camp, i only spent the night there but could happily spend a week there. The creek is pretty fast flowing when i was there but that spot is in front of the rapids so be careful if you have little ones, small dogs or older in age. But alot of nice places to swim just up from the camp spot less then a 2min walk. Camp fire was allowed and i was able to get purchase wood from the owner if needed. All in lovely spot and easy accessable. Unless the location had a decent amount of rain you wouldnt need a 4x4, 4x2 and common sense would be perfect.

Wow what an amazing spot. We highly recommend but also dont want to as we are worried it will be booked out all the time and we wont be able to get a spot! Thanks so much for having us. We will be back sooner rather than later.

Was only here for few hours over night before seeing family next day , scoped it out for future camping weekends. Will definitely come back ..in that short time I can't wait to come back... P.s but watch out for the cheeky cows when leaving the might not want to move.

We loved our couple of nights at campsite 2. Such a beautiful place. Our site was in the middle of 3 but there was plenty of space either side to not have to worry about neighbours. The site had a large fire pit to enjoy in the evening. We would definitely consider staying again when in the area and highly recommend it to self contained campers

Pop Willowood on your list of places to visit next! Easy to find, gracious and no fuss host, grassy and level picturesque spot by the Ovens River that has the best collection of skimming rocks (see if your child can beat my eldest’s record of eight skips before hitting the opposite bank!). Thanks Sally - we’ll be back again soon.

Exceeded my expectations! Absolutely beautiful spot. I camped for 2 nights with my sons aged 6 and 18 months. Perfect mix of swallow water swimming for the boys and deep water for adults. Caught a couple healthy looking fish as well. Will definitely be booking again. Thank you Sally!

Really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of this camp, lucky enough to have enjoyed it all on my own with my 2 GSP’s and plenty of space. Well looked after and right on the Ovens river it was the perfect place to fill up my cup❤️

What an amazing place to rest and relax. The sites were huge with fire pits provided. Lots of shade and sun depending on your preference. All you can hear is the sound of the water and birds. There were lots of flies but even people in town had the same issue. I would highly recommend Willowood. I will be back.

We loved our stay at Willowood! It was such a beautiful, peaceful property. The site was immaculate when we arrived and the built in fire pit was a bonus. My dogs loved swimming in the river and watching the cows. Our experience may have been an anomaly, as we didn’t see any reviews mention this, but the number of flies did impact the tranquility a little. We also came unprepared without any deterrents (rookie mistake for seasoned campers), so we’d recommend bringing some along to make the most of your stay. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to be back.

Stunning location on the Ovens River. Fabulous fire with clear night sky to see the most amazing stars, Starlink and shooting stars. Close enough to Milawa, Myrtleford or Bright if you want to explore the area Our favourite spot by far. Thanks Sally 😊
