While The Love Shack is a private cabin, perfect for intimate getaways for couples we also offer larger group bookings for extended family / and or friend groups with the need for a normal bedroom/bathroom option. There are three under cover areas for group camping use :- an outdoor kitchen
area with sink, bench space and a full size fridge/freezer, an enclosed pen with an extra BBQ, There is a large covered area with a 100" pull down projector screen (bring your own projector for movie nights and fun).
The Shack is a two night minimum stay and sleeps two. Extra guests are welcome in a tents/vans outside at an extra cost per person. The Shack has one bedroom with linen available as an extra, a small open plan kitchen with fridge, kettle and mini cooker. The living room features a little combustion woodfire heater.
Camping enthusiasts can enjoy a level, grassy site with spectacular views across the Tarra River to the forest, or behind you across the paddocks.
We are only 3 kms away from the Tarra Bulga National Park and 10 kms from the historic town of Yarram if you need any supplies. Woodside Beach,

The cabins are converted shipping containers. Cabin 1 has a king bed, Cabin 2 has 2 double beds (bunk style) and a yurt (1 - 4 people). Shared facilities. Please do note the yurt does not have electricity however we supply portable flood lights to hang in trees and inside. Charging station in the toilet shed or kitchen. The yurt is approx 150 meters from the cabins. It has one super comfortable king and two single matresses. It's warm and so peaceful you will never want to leave. Mains water tap nearby.

We loved our stay at Anne and Geoff's cabin. My son loved the open space, and the cow and sheep wandering through, plus the pond with goldfish. We definitely needed the indoor fire and the outdoor fire pit was lovely to have too. Would recommend to anyone looking to get away from it all and have a digital detox :)

1 night at Glenhope Getaway
Catherine was lovely and obviously enjoys being a most thoughtful, supportive and proactive host.
Glenhope getaway offers more than you see in the profile. The shack has a big room with a queen bed and a single bed with drawable curtains around each of them, a couch, big TV and electric heater, as well as the pot belly stove.
The views are better than the photos.
It’s very quiet and private.
The shower is just cold water but that makes it more fun because you can have a quick shower, dry off a bit and warm up in front of the pot belly stove. I didn’t use the stove but it would make the room very warm very quickly.
There’s now a table and planters on the deck.
The property hasn’t been designed as a getaway. The accommodation is in a typical working farm as is.
Much of the land is rocky which you can see in the photos. The long road from the gate to the house has no rocks and has flat and gently sloping sections and is fun to run along if you feel like an easy run.
It’s an enjoyable and relaxing place to stay.

We had the most amazing stay! The cabin is so cosy and falling asleep to the crackle of the fire was so relaxing. We loved being off grid and exploring the bushland around. Ann & Geoff were so lovely and provided everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We would highly recommend Blackwood Cabin for anyone wanting to slow down and reset from their busy lives. We’ll definitely be back!

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Love Shack. It's an ideal spot for camping, with all the amenities needed for a comfortable visit. We especially loved having both an outdoor fire pit and an indoor one. While strong winds and rain limited our outdoor activities, the convenient location, just a short drive to Yarram and close to Tarra-Bulga National Park, allowed us to enjoy a scenic rainforest walk and a picnic lunch. The area is stunning and provides plenty of opportunities for our kids to explore. The property does require some maintenance; for example, the bathroom door was jammed and wouldn't close properly, and the front door handle was loose. Nevertheless, our host Kate was warm, welcoming, and very responsive. All in all, we had a wonderful weekend at the Love Shack.

Great spot for a group of campers, wanting to get away to a peaceful and quiet location (but with amenities close by in Maryborough)
Great set up with the camp kitchen, Echidna cabin, drop toilet and water tanks, plus lots of other extras.
Nice flat ground for extra tents and vans, lots of shade and loads of space.

The Guesthouse was nested in a quiet rainforest setting with beautiful views from the balcony. The accomodation was perfect for a family of 4. It contained everything we needed and the kids enjoying exploring the surrounds. Thank-you for taking the time to give our family the personalised tour of the property. Great insight and the kids loved the adventure in the buggy.

This is camping with a lot of extras. Water from the tap (even warm), electricity, shower, induction cooking plate, large BBQ, 2 fridges, etc. There were enough plates, cutlery, cups etc. for the 5 of us. Also other kitchen equipment is there, i.e. pots, pans, knifes, electric kettle and so on. We mostly cooked on the fire, though...
The fenced area is large enough for several tents, caravans, with sufficient distance from the campfire and space for our dog to run and play.
It is very private, but with great views over the valley. Lots of birds around, for example a flock of 10 yellow-tailed black cockatoos has visited the pine tree next to the campsite a few times in the few days we stayed there.
We had a great time and would have loved to stay longer. We also enjoyed the Tarra Bulga National Park close by and Yarram provides all the gocery shopping needs for the stay. Also Port Albert is just aroubd 20 minutes drive, a small historic harbour town with a beautiful walk along the mangroves.
We definitely would stay here again, if we are in the region.

The cabin was excellent (no oven but hob and microwave present), with a good outdoor space for the dogs. Small off leash area where you need to take your own toys/balls but plenty of walking tracks nearby if that is not enough. Would go again :)

4 nights at Lovely Bush Property
Staying at the echidna retreat was extremely peaceful and relaxing, the facilities and amenities provided were clean, tidy and plentiful. Clear instructions were provided on the listing, by the host and on instructional paper in the accommodation.
The views, weather and animals surrounding were beautiful as well as the local towns which were rich in culture and provided plenty of site seeing opportunities. The stars were unbelievable and bright as well. We saw an echidna within 5 minutes of our arrival and kangaroos greeted us every morning before the sun fully rose.
Would highly recommend to any people looking to have a peaceful stay away from all the noise and pollution of city living.

This was a very quiet out of the way spot with lovely views over the paddocks to the hills. The Love Shack was used by my son and his wife who has never camped before. Felt it was a good way to ease her into camping. Plenty of room for our caravan and large tent for the rest of our family members. Yarram was a short drive away. Was great to be on short lush grass and no real ant problems. Although in saying this, there was a huge nest on the corner of the verandah of the Love Shack. Great camp kitchen area and table and chairs to use all under cover. Designated outside fire but not used this trip due to the extreme weather. Overall we all thoroughly enjoyed this location and would go back. The hosts introduced themselves and then kept to themselves. Would recommend this location for a family event.

I absolutely loved staying at the love shack! My parents stayed in the cabin while we camped and we honestly had the best time. Exceptional views. Such a great entertaining area with games. It’s a great set up for dogs and kids. So much space and fresh air! We had a lovely 3 nights with 3 generations and 2 dogs. The love shack and add-on facilities are very rustic, but that is what we were expecting as accurrsye. is reflected by the price. Kate made some great suggestions for activities.
