Unpowered Riverfront
We had a simple tent set up with two mates, beers and a fire pit and it was sublime.
90 minutes from Melbourne and it feels like you’re a lot further away. Also perfectly 20 minutes away from local and national shops like Butchers, Bunnings or bakeries.

Perfect spot for kids to roam close by, Bridges, walking tracks, swimming holes. The ground so well cared for with thick grass for campsites and picnic spots. Loved it.
Absolutely loved this spot. When we got there the place was empty, was so quiet and peaceful. It got busy on the weekend, however the park is laid out really well, so you still have privacy and it wasnt noisy.
Kids loved playing in the pkaygrounds, splashing about it the river, also had a great time fishing, nothing keep size, but still great fun. Also yabbies and freshwater crays.
There was some great walking tracks around the bush as well.
One tip, dont forget to bring your own water...we forgot to fill the van, but Drouin is close enough and bought some.

Glen Cromie Reserve is a standout choice for anyone seeking a peaceful camping experience. Having spent a night there recently, it’s clear why this spot is a favorite for those who appreciate a well-maintained natural setting without sacrificing essential comforts.
Really lovely spot close to Melbourne. Bonus of Rokeby market being on the weekend we were there. Relaxed atmosphere and lovely hosts.
The site was in nice, accessible and shaded location. The amenities were really clean. There was firewood and pits available. The staff was also super nice.

The campsite is clean and well maintained. Bathrooms are old but have hot showers and are cleaned regularly. Toilet and shower facilities use river water. Kids loved the playground and large camp sites. We had a lovely river front site. Fire pits available for hire. I would definitely be back.
Great little campsite, camp owners were lovley. Well laid out campsite with a lot of space at each spot. Shop had all the basics, coffee and fish and chips.
Beautiful camping spot with soothing bird sounds and a peaceful riverfront location. The amenities are good, clean, and well maintained. Charging ports near the BBQ area are very convenient. Great variety of options for families—highly recommended.

Fantastic facility at Glen Cromie, the sites are spacious, River is flowing adjacent to site which adds several options for activities for kids. The onsite van was well maintained and fully equipped. Staff ata reception/cafe was lovely and looked after everyone.

What a beautiful place. Birds galore and there are apparently platypus in the creek. Gorgeous and well kept little reserve obviously loved by generations of people. Gifted to the public by a visionary from long ago, it’s testament to what a little love and respect can do for the environment. Beautifully maintained but wear your thongs, sandals, shoes as there are one or two three corner jacks around.

Powered Riverfront
The sites are a really good size, right beside the river, the river is crawling with freshwater crays that are easily seen and caught from the bank. The park is quite a simple layout and ammenities are good and very clean. The park doesn’t have a camp kitchen and the options for kids entertainment is limited. We did have a good stay and enjoyed ourselves. We also loved the location being less than an hour from home.
