Recent Hipcampers say this Hipcamp is great for families and kids.
91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath provides a pleasant backdrop in season and wattles abound. It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Kangaroos and black wallabies often seen in the evening grazing on pasture.

Kinglake East End Campsite
Great secret close to Melbourne!
As bird lovers, this space was incredible. It was a lovely one night getaway close to Melbourne. So much nature around. We saw countless Rosellas, fairywrens and even an adult male deer (it was huge!!!). We had a 7m long camper which fit in easily with a nice view of the dam! Even our little kitty enjoyed her stay.

Really lovely location, close to a lot of great drives (and short ones) to lovely hiking and national parks. Also only a 5 minute drive up the hill to get a really great cup of coffee!! Plenty of different types of spots to camp on the one property too, was easy enough to find a spot away from others if need be. Heaps of wood to be found on site for firewood which is great. Next time I travel I’ll take my mini axe to help chop up bigger bits, or longer bits for kindling. Will definitely be back!

Dam View RV/Camper/Tent Site
When I arrived there was a car parked in my campsite, when I asked them to move it they did it begrudgingly. The three men were rude, urinating in front of my young daughters and played music to well after midnight.
