There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more. Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience. Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes. Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's. Amplified music is not allowed. Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields. Pyrenees Wine region is a short drive away.

Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away. Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras). Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. This walking access is steep, easier tracks can be driven to down the road.Or take a dip in the river further down the road, and explore the waterways, with many birds; black swans in the lakes next to camp, plus kangaroos, wombats, emu and deer. There is a boat ramp just down the road to explore the river system. Perfect for water sports, and with fish cleaning tables at the wharf.  Go by boat to the Marlo Hotel from the wharf straight over the river.Orbost is 15 minutes drive and has a supermarket, hotel, bottle shop and other conveniences. We are open to accepting larger group bookings, but please discuss this with us first. Other things you can do in the area: - Driving trips to High Country Scenic Route and exploring the High Country (4-5 hour round trip).- Visit the Buchan Caves about an hour into the High Country - they are amazing.- Explore Cape Conran & you can even Dive for Abalone and Crayfish.- Visit Lakes Entrance and buy Seafood from the Trawlers.- Drive to Mt Hotham ski resort and explore the Omeo High Country (3 hours)- Visit Gordon at the Opal & Gemstone House in Orbost and find out about the gold, geology and gemstones of the area, hearing first-hand stories about how the area was many years ago from a great local old-timer who loves to share his knowledge and the old ways things were done.

Licola is a great place to use as a base camp for you to 4wd, Hike, Mountain bike, motorbike and canoeing in high country. We offer accommodation in the form of Houses that consist of 3 to 4 bedrooms all with kitchenette, toilets and showers. Each house can sleep from 18 to 20 people in bunk style accommodation. With access to the pool and River to Lauch your canoe it is a perfect place for summer fun. All houses have split system air conditioning and heating. We also have a communal large self cater kitchen and large communal BBQ area. It is the only privately owned town in Victoria and the only one not on mains power. The town generates its own power, pumps and treats its own water and is also responsible for its waste management. The Licola Wilderness Village is supported by the Lions Clubs of Victoria and southern New South Wales. Licola Wilderness Village was set up by Lions Clubs over 50 years ago primarily to run camps for the underprivileged, deserving, special needs, and disengaged young people, mostly held during school holidays.

We have 2 dogs, 6 pet sheep and 4 lambs, 2 blue tongue lizards The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment. Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

Kielock Homestead is a unique farm stay experience located centrally in the beautiful Kiewa Valley Victoria where you can camp right on the bank of the Kiewa River. Some of the activities available include fishing, swimming, bush walking, bird and animal watching and bike riding. If you choose you can join in on farm activities such as feeding the animals,  collecting eggs and planting/harvesting fruit and vegetables. We have a small market garden available where you can pick and purchase seasonal fresh produce, alternatively vegetable boxes and eggs are available by arrangement and delivered right to your campsite. Within the 200 acres of the property you will find it is home to many animals including kangaroos wombats platypus possums, bats and many bird and marine species. The main fish in the river are  trout and cod so if you would like to try your luck fishing this is the place for you.Some of the surrounding towns include Mt Beauty (20 mins), Yackandandah (30 mins), Bright (50 mins), Beechworth (50 mins) Falls Creek (60 mins) with the border towns of Albury and Wodonga only 50 mins away. These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. Be aware that all fences are electric and are switched on at all times. There is a dedicated communal campfire area for use when fire restrictions permit and we request that no additional fire pits are created during your stay. As this is a working property we are unable to accommodate your pets. There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady, surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn . Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far. Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space. All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck. The original home stead (built in 1876) burnt down in the 2009 black Saturday fires. There still remains many 150+ year old elms and other European trees near the toilet block, which are delightful in autumn. We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. These beautiful towns contain an array of boutique wineries, craft breweries, bakeries and cafes, or you can choose to follow a farm gate food trail.The area also provides opportunities to go horse-riding, bike riding on one of the many rail trails or be adventurous on the mountain bike tracks at Falls Creek in the warmer months with snow sports in winter. The surrounding mountain ranges offer numerous famous 4wd trails or you might like to try your hand at panning for gold.This is a working farm and our animals are our family. They are very friendly but only know us and not you so please do not enter their homes without us, but feel free to talk to them over the gates. We loved our two nights “on the banks”. Matine greeted us upon arrival and guided us to our site. The property itself is massive and beautiful. This site is closest to the bathroom (it was very clean - what a luxury when camping!). We slept so deeply next to the creek and our Whippet had the best time dipping his feet in and out of it. We look forward to returning in cooler weather to avoid the flies and tackle the hike to the waterfall. FYI there is no mobile reception at this site, so prepare to detox!

Absolutely SENSATIONAL. Perfect weekend away. 10/10 for everything 4 of us went away with my reactive dog and Matine could not have been more warm, welcoming and accomodating to us! It can be tricky not knowing where we’re camping with Bruce but he was having the time of his life and so we’re we! The sites are far enough apart that you really do feel like you’ve got your own secluded spot for relaxing and really soaking in all of the nature that surrounds you. Waking up to the kookaburras laughing and listening to the creek babbling beside us, What a truly magical weekend away. We will be back so very soon! Mikki, Amber, Jemma, Dale and sweet pup Bruce

Excellent communication and really friendly. The fire pit was a good size and we loved the bench swing near the camp fire. Google Maps was able to find the location but Waze struggled with the dirt road. It was great to take our dog too and my daughter enjoyed feeding the goats!

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks. We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies. Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible. Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by. Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Welcome to a spacious, private camping area on our peaceful country property in north-east Victoria. The designated camping zone sits in a large, flat farm paddock conveniently situated between the road and a seasonal creek, offering plenty of room to spread out, relax, and choose your perfect campsite. Pets are welcome, and travelling horses can be accommodated by arrangement. Campers can set up anywhere within the designated camping area, whether you want morning sun, afternoon shade, creek views, or a wide-open patch for games and group setups. There’s a huge open space ideal for backyard cricket, kicking the footy, frisbee, and relaxing under the big sky—great for families with older kids, pet owners, and small, quiet groups. A small fenced paddock is available for horses—please message ahead if you’re bringing them. We’re in a fantastic location for exploring the region: • Great Victorian Rail Trail – only 7 km away (easy, flat access) • Alexandra township – 14 km (shops, bakery, pub, supplies) • Bonnie Doon & Lake Eildon – ~30 minutes (water activities, boating, fishing) • Eildon township & Lake Eildon – ~30 minutes (marina, boat ramps, swimming) • Melbourne CBD – approx. 2 hours (perfect for weekend escapes) This is an off-grid, quiet, back-to-basics campsite with wide open skies, fresh air, and the sounds of nature.
