Sites are large and dispersed and can have up to 12 people, tents, camper trailers, caravans and RV suitable. 2wd vehicle accessible (weather dependent).

The property is bordered by he Murrundini River on one side, 1km, with hill side views on the other. All campsites have easy access the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace.
Site One is a large flat area close to the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far.
Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space.
All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck.
All sites and river swimming are clothing optional, but please respect other campers in public area's if on site.
In response to a recent review, I will point out that the driveway is a gravel farm track. Normal 2Wd cars have not had any recent issues.
We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a
short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them.
Amazing, abundant
and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). I am hoping to increase the nesting and habitat for as many local birds as possible, which has improved, but can get better with Your help. Not destroying large logs and tree's is first and foremost. But if you are inclined , funds for creating nesting spots are greatly appreciated. You can directly ask for donations to go towards specific prospects/ projects. Tawney frog mouths, king parrots, and many, many other birds call this place home. For donations specific to conservation, please contact me direct.

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

Due to an over demand we require weekend stays during the Summer months November to March to be a minimum two night stay. Guests are required to check in on Fridays, with Friday and Saturday nights as the two night minimum.
Weekends during this period need to be booked by contacting hosts who will open the sites on the calendar on request to allow the booking to be done online. Those guests requiring a longer stay that overlap a weekend can also be accommodated. Just give us a call and we will find a spot for you.

Looking for a peaceful and secluded spot to park up whilst exploring the Yarra Valley winery region, the Dandenong Ranges, or some of Melbourne's close regional towns like Healesville, Yarra Glen and Warburton?
We have opened up a beautiful flat expanse at the rear of our five acre property and made it available to self contained campers and caravaners. We are travelers ourselves and often find it difficult to find peaceful yet secure spots that allow us to explore capital cities and the lovely areas around them.
Most cities tend to have caravan parks in the outer suburbs and these can often resemble concrete jungles and be very busy leaving you feel like you have to pay a top premium to be cramped into a space. But what options do you have if you want to explore a vibrant city like Melbourne. See a show, do some shopping, eat out at some of the World's greatest restaurants. Yes, we all should splurge every now and then even when on the road.
Our property lies at the very start of the Yarra Valley. It is surrounded on three sides by the magnificent Helens Hill vineyard. In the Summer months you can watch the fruit come onto the vines and in the Winter the views open up to see the kangaroos bouncing though the rows and often silhouetted against the skyline sunsets.
We are less than 5 minutes to Lilydale town center. Supermarkets, restaurants, service centers, parts stores, hardware are all on the doorstep, yet looking out over the vines you wouldn't know.
Lilydale is 38 kms from Melbourne CBD and there is a train station with ample day parking making it super easy to explore the heart of Melbourne and return 'home' to your country retreat for the night. Myki cards available on site FOC.
There is a dump point only 3kms away at a local caravan park for those that need it and at our property water can be available to fill your tanks if needed for a small donation. There is no water or power connection on the sites but you can release your grey water to nourish the grass. Lilydale has a large laundromat available to you.
We have a beautiful covered eating area with BBQ available so if the weather turns inclement you can still eat out yet under cover.
All campers must be 100% self contained. These are remote sites with no connections and there are no toilet facilities available.
We have restricted our area to a maximum of 6 sites to ensure that everyone has their space. Sites are not marked and locations will be on a first booked basis. Owners will direct you to your areas. The area is beautifully flat and does absorb water well but care must be taken to not tear it up after heavy rains. Please seek assistance from owners rather than tearing up the grass as a tractor is available.
We can cater for large sized vans and even large motorhomes. Tents are welcome. The property is pet friendly but not fully fenced so your furry friends would need to be on lead. We have our own dogs on the property.
Hipcamp being USA based describes the sites and vehicles in USA terms and lengths. There is no way to alter this but please be aware. We cater for Aussie sized caravans and 4wd vehicles. 14 or 15m long all up, no problem. Just in a 4x4 with roof top tent and awning, we have you covered. Cruising the country in a Commodore with a pop top, all good here.
Please be aware that we do share a boundary with a working vineyard and they do occasionally have a tractor or crew out in the vines doing some work. There can be a bit of farm machinery work every now and then but this is beyond our control and generally very minimal as vines dont take much looking after unless its harvest night.

Guests are welcome to visit the Tea Room, open 10am – 5pm Wednesday through Sunday. Our daily menu contains a selection of delicious cakes, devonshire tea, toasted sandwiches, specialty pies and weekly specials and of course, tea and coffee. Breakfast is served all day.

***Please note, we are a rubbish free campsite, so campers are asked to take their rubbish with them. Dromkeen has very clean toilets, but a reminder there are NO showers. During summer months because of fire restrictions we also remind campers there should be NO outside campfires.

91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season.
It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season.
The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. For the serious wine lover the property is within 15km of the Yarra Valley Wine Growing area with many wineries offering tastings.

Surrounded by lush native bush and towering tree ferns, this picturesque town on the Latrobe River sits on the main access route to the ski fields of Mt Baw Baw and is home to a wide range of heritage and natural attractions.
The property consists of 5 acres with a river, so you can set up a tent right next to the river and fish for dinner. The house is about 100 meters away from the camping area, but there are about 1000 Oregon trees that are 50 years old, so you can't see each other well, so you can enjoy nature freely.
4WD is recommended for easy access. We recommend tents/swags.
4WD with Heavy trailer is still very hard to enter when it is wet.
Guests will have access to a toilet throughout their stay. There is a communal fire pit available, so guests can enjoy a campfire on the cool evenings. Please abide by any local fire restrictions during your stay.
You can walk from my house to Noojee Heritage Centre, Trestle Bridge, Alpine Trout Farm, and Noojee Hotel for a delicious pizza, Cool beer from tool sheed and coffee from red duck cafe. You can drive to Toorongo Falls, Ada Tree in 10 minutes and Baw Baw Ski Resort in 40 minutes.

We had a fantastic stay at Galea Ranch with our hiking group.It’s very peaceful, and the perfect base for a weekend of hiking and outdoor adventures. There was plenty of space to camp and a great atmosphere to relax after a day on the trails.
The campfire evenings, shared meals, and time under the stars created memories we'll be talking about for a long time.
If you're looking for a peaceful camping experience with a host who genuinely cares about her guests, we highly recommend this place. Thanks again, Sharelle—we'll definitely be back!

Camped on site one. Very peaceful. On arrival we were greeted by Anne, very lovely and accommodating. Camp kitchen is available which was great. We were the only ones there for weekend which was nice. Sites were pretty good size. Overall we were happy campers. Thanks again Anne and co. 😊

Second visit. We camped in a different spot this time, last time was the glamping. It was just as good. The new outdoor kitchen is awesome. Trees, birds, cows, chickens and of course peaches. All with lovely hosts who actually care and want to make it a nice experience. Will for sure be back again.

We visited as a young family with 3 kids and a pup.
Galea ranch is absolutely beautiful. Sharelle and Wayne are beyond accommodating and are such great hosts from collecting eggs with the kids, showing them the rescue possum, letting us borrow a grill plate for the bbq- honestly no faults at all.
Cannot wait to come back with a bigger group. This space is hugeee

We loved our stay at Galea Ranch. The campsite was beautiful, peaceful, and well maintained, with lovely views of the Cathedral Ranges. The toilet was clean and well looked after, which made the stay more comfortable. The kids really enjoyed the farm animals, and we appreciated the effort they made to set up a play area for children. Sharelle also looked after our needs during our stay. We will definitely go back!

The views are amazing and it's nice and peaceful. Booked it short notice and the host was very responsive to any questions. Only just over an hour from Melbourne so it was ideal for one night. Fire pits available and fire wood can be found around the ground from felled trees etc. It's a bit pricey but acceptable if you're not by yourself.

We were at Site 1 and it was spectacular! Lots of space, firepit with grill plates, bbq, and picnic table were super handy as well as being a stone's throw away from the drinking water. Toilet block was a short stroll. We had a wombat friend visit over night, and flame robins all over camp during the day. We marvelled at the wedge-tailed eagles and king parrots the whole weekend. The river was stunning but safe and secured by a gate which was handy for us camping with toddlers. We even had a picnic up the hill by the loveseat which had stunning views and was well worth the hike. Such an awesome place! Thanks Michael.

We camped our 24’6 ft caravan on site 1 at Mountain Flower Farm, there was plenty of space on the site to set up as we wanted.
We were fully self contained but there is a compost toilet a short walk away and water if you needed it.
The property is well maintained and each site has a fire pit for use.
The kids loved feeding the sheep and goats and my son loved riding his bike down the hill!
Tamara was very responsive and helpful.
There were some flowers in bloom, but not quite in season, would be lovely to see them in full bloom.
Our rig is very long, and it was a tight turn into the driveway, but we got in okay.
We also came up the C764, which was not recommended for heavy vehicles (with good reason, very narrow windy, and steep roads)
Came home B300 which was not as narrow!
It was a lovely place to stay, would recommend 😊

Where to go
Healesville
A main Yarra Valley town, Healesville is a hub of food and drink (largely wine!) and a handy base for campers who want to enjoy the restaurants or prepare their own gourmet meals around the campfire. The town is equipped with holiday parks with good facilities and different camping options to suit various budgets. Healesville is a short distance from the Maroondah Reservoir, where there are picnic spots and scenic walks.
Yarra Ranges National Park
The forested Yarra Ranges National Park spreads out around the Yarra Valley towns of Marysville, Healesville, and Warburton. The trees and vegetation here are especially impressive, and are a lovely environment for short walks and hikes. There are campsites throughout this national park but some of these have undergone repairs after storms; if they’re unavailable, there are nearby campsites and holiday parks elsewhere in the Yarra Valley, including Healesville and at other national and regional parks.
Kinglake National Park
A popular spot among hikers, mountain bikers, and campers, the Kinglake National Park is on the slopes of the Great Dividing Range and is easily accessible from the Yarra Valley. Keen and casual bird watchers alike will also enjoy looking out for the colourful bird life in this park, and the tall Masons Falls are especially impressive after rain. The small campsite within the park has space for tents, caravans, and camper vans, and is surrounded by shady eucalyptus trees.
Dandenong Ranges National Park
The Dandenong Ranges are often referred to at the same time as the Yarra Valley, as many day or overnight trippers from Melbourne visit both areas. The cool rainforested mountains are dotted with waterfalls, making this an ideal destination for hiking and picnicking, as well as camping. Campers can find everything from basic tent sites to luxurious cabins in the Dandenong Ranges, and it’s all very accessible from Melbourne.
