We had an amazing stay at Galea Ranch! The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and very attentive throughout our visit. My daughter absolutely loved when Sharelle showed her how to feed the animals.
The place itself is stunning, with beautiful views and everything you need for a comfortable stay. It’s family-friendly, with a great playground for the kids to enjoy, and at the same time offers plenty of privacy.
We highly recommend this place and would love to come back!

We had a fantastic weekend at Galea Ranch on Hipcamp.
The property is beautifully set with spectacular views of the Cathedral Ranges and surrounded by peaceful bushland. It offers two large campsites plus a more secluded glamping option, and it worked perfectly for our group of 14 (adults, kids, and a few very happy dogs). We had two caravans, a campervan, and a camper trailer, and there was still plenty of space for everyone to spread out comfortably.
Our hosts, Sharelle and Wayne, were absolutely wonderful—friendly, welcoming, and genuinely invested in making sure we had everything we needed.
The facilities strike a perfect balance between camping and comfort: a flushing toilet, a cute outdoor shower with hot and cold water, and a charming camp kitchen where you can wash up and even purchase fresh local produce like eggs, veggies, and buckets of carrots to feed the resident Highland cows and pony (a huge hit with the kids!).
Each site has its own fire pit with bench seating, and we loved that the first night’s firewood was provided. There’s also a great little playground setup with a tyre swing, climbing A-frames, totem tennis, a hoop, and plenty of balls to keep the kids entertained.
All in all, Galea Ranch is a stunning property with thoughtful touches, fantastic facilities, and truly lovely hosts, thanks Sharelle and Wayne. We had an amazing time and would absolutely recommend it!

Sharelle and Wayne were super warm and accomodating hosts once we arrived . Sites are very well maintained with a firepit each and hammocks to relax in. Shower, toilet and outdoor kitchen was a plus! Recommend having a go and feeding the highland cows and other animals on the property! We will be back!

Highly recommend staying at Galea Ranch. Sharelle and Wayne are very friendly and accomodating hosts. We enjoyed feeding the highland cows , Shetland pony and chickens. We were also lucky enough to see poss the rescue possum . The flushable toilet and outdoor shower was a big bonus, and they just finished putting together an outdoor kitchen which was super convenient to wash up. We will definitely be coming back and telling our friends as well. Loved the privacy and hammock on site! Thank you!

The perfect camp for everyone

I had chosen this campsite for my friends as their very first camping experience, and they absolutely loved it. Sharelle was very welcoming and greeted us with free experiences which we thought we needed to pay for and didn’t expect. She kindly explained where everything would be and was just super nice to talk to. Thank you Sharelle for leaving such a great impression of camping for my friends and making this experience possible. I would definitely recommend this place and return for future camping.

2nd time visit, loved it again.
Our kids loved feeding the farm animals, and the playground. They have hammocks, beautiful strings of bulbs that turns on at night.
Hosts were very welcoming and friendly.
10/10 would visit again, best farm stay in Hipcamp.

Where to start, this was one of the nicest properties i’ve ever seen such nice big and open fields which were so well maintained. Sharelle and Wayne were the nicest hosts and so easy to just hang around and have a yarn about their property a facilities.
Camp site with built in fire pits and classic wooden bench’s all around to sit at. Hammocks to lay in as the campsite lights up at night with all the lovely lights they have place around your site.
Highlight for my son was the animal feedings of the highland cows , horse and chickens. Sharelle even let us sneak a peak at her rescue ringtail possum.
You know it’s a good Hipcamp when my son dint want to leave and asked to book another night. We will be back!!

Lovely and peaceful camp, heaps of privacy with the way they have set up the camp sites.
Firewood had been cut and stacked for us prior to arriving.
Fantastic facilities.

The glamping experience was superb! Hosts are lovely, welcoming and genuinely care about the property, animals, and guests. Almost everything was provided, towels/bedding/plates/cups/bowls/bbq tools/papertowel/shampoo/conditioner/toothbush/tea/coffee/bottle of wine/bug repellant/drinking water/fire wood. We made yummy breakfast using the freshly laid chook eggs! You will need you own saucepan for cooking but Webber, bbq plate, and kettle provided. Reception was patchy for us but we found a good spot. There is a heater in the tent but we didn't need it. No noise from traffic. Very peaceful. Lots of wildlife and well as very friendly farm animals. Peaches has a special place in our heart. No access to power so bring a power bank or two. Flushing toilet was perfect. We loved every bit of our stay and will be back. Thanks Sharelle, Wayne, Jemma and Peaches.

I loved camping at the beautiful Galea Ranch. My three nights were so relaxing and peaceful. Wayne and Sharelle were thoughtful, attentive and available hosts, while giving lots of space to disconnect and be with nature. It's very clear they have put a lot of care into creating this campsite.

Once again the stay at this beautiful place has been a fantastic experience! The owner of the land are so lovely. Their animals are part of the experience and you can even feed them carrots!
This time the sky was clear and the stars where shining like diamonds at night time.
Their set up with the hammock, the swing on the trees, the fairy lights and the firecamp bring a beautiful atmosphere to the camp site.
Highly recommend this place for a couple gateways or a family trip with kids.

We had 4 families totalling 8 adults, 6 kids and 5 dogs. Heaps of room for us to set up camp. Setting up alongside the trees meant afternoon shade which was great considering the hot weather we had. We all loved the highland cows and Peach the pony! Kids got to feed the chooks which they thought was hilarious. Wayne and Sharelle were absolutely lovely, checking on us and offering some fantastic ideas of things to do and places to see. Unfortunately we had to leave a couple of days early due to the Longwood bushfire but will definitely be back to make up on our lost time and continue adventuring!

We had a wonderful time at the ranch.
Wayne and Sharelle are very welcoming.
The site is very well maintained and clean. The toilet and shower are a short walk from the site and are kept in excellent condition.
They provided lots of play equipment to keep the kids busy.
The paddock is shared by 2 campsites but privacy is provided with a fence and you have plenty of your own space.
Overall a beautiful, peaceful site in a great central location. We had a fantastic time.

We had a lovely one night getaway and enjoyed every aspect of this property from the view of the cathedral ranges ro feeding the cows. To the lovely Bush that surrounded us, we would recommend this Hipcamp and will definitly return as only an hour away from where we live.

Will definitely come again. We had a group of 5 dads and 5 kids, and tented on lush grass near an onsite fire pit and little playground. Wayne and Sharelle’s hospitality was lovely, taking the kids to feed the chickens and answering all the questions they had about the highland coos. It’s a beautiful property, very peaceful, away from the tourist areas but close enough to grab a morning coffee and breakfast. Plenty of firewood provided and the flush toilet and hot shower amenities were spotless, inviting and straight out of home. You’re separated from the one other camp site so you have a feeling of having the place to your own. Would highly recommend.
