There are separate campsites available. Rodborough Vale is 600 acres with a combination of creek flats, native bushland and rocky volcanic outcrops. A working sheep property with some cropping, It is home to the well known Rodvale Border Leicester Stud. Farming in harmony with the native fauna and flora, guests may be able to spot many native species including platypus, wedge tail eagles, kookaburra and many more.
Fronting Deep Creek, guests have access to fishing or just sit and listen to the crystal clear water meandering past the campsites. The farm borders Tullaroop Reservoir which is only a ten minute walk from most campsites, there you can find public toilets and picnic areas it is well known for its fly fishing for trout. The boat ramp is around 400m from the front gate and guests are welcome to leave vehicles and trailers on the property for convenience.
Note : The reservoir is currently only open to electric powered boats and canoes.
Dogs are welcome but must be very well behaved around sheep. Flushing toilet available at the shearing shed. Good access for caravans and large RV's.
Amplified music is not allowed.
Local attractions are the historic towns of Maldon, Clunes, Avoca and Dunolly all part of the Central Goldfields. Pyrenees Wine region is a short drive away.

91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season.
It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season.
The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. For the serious wine lover the property is within 15km of the Yarra Valley Wine Growing area with many wineries offering tastings.
The property consists of 4 sites with one powered site on the South side of the property. Pets are welcome provided they are kept on leash.

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

It was an overgrown mess at the time, covered in broken bricks and beer cans. I've tried to keep the bush aspect whilst creating a park-like surround with plenty of grassy space. I have big plans for this land and hope to build a steam museum in another area over the creek. Excitingly, I will also be establishing a blacksmiths forge in that area, which was moved piece by piece from an historic farm at Avoca. Chris is an engineer, antique restorer and artisan working from home.
I offer one site so privacy is assured. Larger groups can be accommodated, please enquire if you'd like to learn more.

The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs.
Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower.

and access to wifi if needed.
Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air.
The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground.
There are five dogs who live here. They are all friendly and love people.
Lily the Rotwieller is only 12 months old and very playful.
She has a thing for shoes, so please make sure they are always hidden away.
Along with anything else you don't want a naughty puppy to make a meal of.
If you don't like dogs you probably shouldn't stay here as my dogs love people.
Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole.

We have space in the large carpark for vans, motorhomes, or alternatively the horse paddock for tents and campers. Ample toilets available. Dogs permitted by advance request.
Guests are welcome to visit the Tea Room, open 10am – 5pm Wednesday through Sunday. Our daily menu contains a selection of delicious cakes, devonshire tea, toasted sandwiches, specialty pies and weekly specials and of course, tea and coffee. Breakfast is served all day.
Browse in the galleries or wander around the beautiful gardens which have trees more than 100 years old, some listed on the National Trust register. Meet our 2 Dromkeen alpacas Hannah and Lilly.
***Please note, we are a rubbish free campsite, so campers are asked to take their rubbish with them. Dromkeen has very clean toilets, but a reminder there are NO showers. Also all sites are unpowered, but upon request prior to arrival a powered spot may be available at an extra $10 a day. Please ring to verify this. During summer months because of fire restrictions we also remind campers there should be NO outside campfires.

Pitch your completely self-sufficient sleeping quarters on our peaceful, flat, 7 acre property which backs onto the Bald Hill Nature Reserve and is less than five minutes drive from Kyneton’s historic Piper Street which is full of delightful restaurants and cafes.
Take under an hour to drive up and explore beautiful Bendigo, experience delightful Daylesford nearby and meander around the wonderful wineries of the Macedon Ranges.
Campfires are allowed subject to local fire restrictions and must be fully extinguished before you turn in for the night. Please search for the CFA website 'Fire Danger Period: Can I or Can't I?' which has all of the appropriate information. Each site has a fire pit which you can use providing it is not a total fire ban.
Firewood is available at a cost to you of $50 per wheelbarrow load which will easily cover two nights.
We have four separate camping locations on the property; you can easily have up to four RVs on sites 1, 2 and 4 and two on site 3. We have tried to ensure privacy for each location but you may be able to see other guests and/or the house through the many trees.
Please be aware that there are two dams on the property so children should supervised at all times. My own children swim in the dam and there is a kayak available but lifejackets must be worn by children in, around and on the water to minimise risk.
Pets are welcome. The kangaroos may prove quite enticing for some pets and as such we recommend dogs be kept on their leash. Site 4 has ringlock fencing and farm gates which can be helpful to contain your pets.
Please be aware that the Kyneton Gun Club has their monthly clay target shoot on the 3rd Sunday of each month (2nd Sunday in December) from 11am until 5pm during which time you will hear them clay pigeon shooting.
We are NOT a commercial campsite and, as such, you must be fully self-contained for power, water, showers, sewage, refuse disposal, etc.
Guests under the age of 25 must be accompanied by their parents.

This acreage was historically a larger soldiers settlements property comprising a dairy, piggery and wool farming. The quality of the land hasn't changed with most of the region's farmland in use, so this is a cool place to stay in the Macedon Ranges.
Currently home to our family, the property is also visited by many native Australian birdlife species, many marsupials including kangaroos, echidna, possums and even a koala.
With close proximity to coffee shops and local stores of Romsey and Lancefield Providore, you have only a few minutes to drive to stock up on local produce.
Walking the trails around Hanging Rock is a 10-minute drive and Mt Macedon lookout 15min.

Would highly recommend Mark’s place at Rodborough Vale. The farm is beautiful and Mark was very welcoming. It’s a peaceful private spot with plenty of room between all the campsites. This does mean there are some camps which require a good walk to get to the washroom and loo but it’s worth it for the sense of privacy. We enjoyed meeting the sheep, watching the birds and star gazing. Dogs should be extremely well behaved as you are very close to stock in some areas. There is lots to do in the small towns and state parks surrounding Majorca.

My all time favourite camp location. Next time I will bring a Starlink antenna. Optus and Telstra are hit and miss. No light pollution, great for star gazing. Really nice host.

Great camping tent site within a working sheep farm. Mark was hospitable and delivered a bag of firewood when it appeared we were going to run out. The boys loved getting around on the hillside of the creek and exploring the area. Highly recommend.

This is a very pretty place to camp. Its a live farm so there is plenty to see. When we were there it was lambing season so many cute lambs. The host Mark was absolutely delightful and was very helpful. No fish this trip but that likely me. Thanks Mark. We will be back 100%

Great little base camp to head out for hikes. Plenty of firewood for the cold nights and a relaxed spot to just chill at. Will definitely be back!

This is a really lovely Hipcamp. The views are beautiful. It’s easy to reach from Melbourne but you really feel like you have left the city. The facilities are very clean. I also really like that I am able to bring my dog. I would absolutely recommend.

12 m pop-up camper
The most peaceful, well kept, scenic Hipcamp I have ever been to!
Mark introduced himself as soon as I arrived, pointed some things out to me and then left me alone for the rest of the trip.
He was a very nice guy and I met his family when I was exploring the property, hopefully they found the cows!
Mark had to change my booking from spillway view to grassy flat because it was too damp but I was very happy about it, every spot there would be great and I will be booking again very soon.

Pros:
- Easy access
- Great proximity to Kinglake (few mins to walk to top of town)
- Only 1hr 20m from Melbourne
- Only 3 sites with plenty of space for each
- Lovely host
- Very cute sheep that love a pat
- Good ground for pegs, not full of rocks like some.
Cons:
- Exposed to the wind on top of the hill. Guy-rope up!
- A little uneven on the ground but very manageable. Would be quite muddy if very wet like most spots.

Very peaceful, night sky is gorgeous! Lots of great walking tracks in the national park close by too!
