The farming area is completely fenced in, this is to keep the deer out, but you can venture out onto the property bush land with the correct map and navigation equipment.
Eagles, cockatoos, black cockatoos, kookaburras, magpies, rosellas, king parrots, Gang-gang cockatoo, honey eaters can be spotted most days and lyrebirds if you’re keen to go looking.
Perfect for star gazing the Milky Way and Nebulas.
During fungi season, there are so many varieties to be found.

The Kinglake market is on the 4th Sunday of each month 10-2pm - Except January

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

There are tenants living in the main house. We'd like to respect the privacy of other residents living here, so please keep to the camping area on the south half of the property.

I loved my time staying in the forest cabin! Kelly was great with communication leading up to and during my stay. He had even started the fire early so the place was toasty and warm on my arrival - such a nice touch! Walking the tracks nearby and at Lederderg were stunning, especially with the wintry rain falling all around. The local town of Trentham was also nice to explore. I highly recommend the scotch fillet steak at Pig and Whistle! My personal highlight was watching a wallaby outside my window as we both ate our breakfast. So peaceful and relaxing - just what the doctor ordered. See you next time!

We had a lovely stay at Tamara’s camper van. It has everything we need and the dogs are happy too. I like seeing the high trees and the fog from the windows, there’s plenty of natural light from the caravan.
Tamara is kind and gracious. Thank you for the extras.
Tips driving from Melbourne, it will be easier to go via Whittlesea to avoid the windy road climb.

Catherine was lovely and obviously enjoys being a most thoughtful, supportive and proactive host.
Glenhope getaway offers more than you see in the profile. The shack has a big room with a queen bed and a single bed with drawable curtains around each of them, a couch, big TV and electric heater, as well as the pot belly stove.
The views are better than the photos.
It’s very quiet and private.
The shower is just cold water but that makes it more fun because you can have a quick shower, dry off a bit and warm up in front of the pot belly stove. I didn’t use the stove but it would make the room very warm very quickly.
There’s now a table and planters on the deck.
The property hasn’t been designed as a getaway. The accommodation is in a typical working farm as is.
Much of the land is rocky which you can see in the photos. The long road from the gate to the house has no rocks and has flat and gently sloping sections and is fun to run along if you feel like an easy run.
It’s an enjoyable and relaxing place to stay.

We had such a lovely stay at the Cozy Posy Van at the farm. The van was super clean, cozy, and had everything we needed to feel comfortable and relaxed.
Tamara is an absolute star host and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. You can really see how much care has gone into creating such a special little getaway.
The farm itself is beautiful and peaceful, making it the perfect spot to switch off and unwind. We genuinely loved our stay and would happily come back again. Highly recommend!

Great property, off grid with everything you could need to stay comfortable. We went with 3 kids under 12 who had a ball riding bikes, making a campfire, exploring and playing. Location is great and close to shops for any forgotten or last minute needs.
Early morning there were cows, kangaroos and sheep just on the other side of the fence.
Plenty of firewood and the hot shower was a great addition to the site.
Hosts were outstanding, clear communicators and incredibly welcoming and helpful in the lead up to arrival.

Weekend Trip to Mountain Flower Farm
This was our second time to Tamara’s and we brought our reluctant camper friends for Easter - and they loved it! The Cozy Posy provided the electric and shower essentials but complemented our other tent and camper trailer set up. We were far enough away from the other two groups not to hear them but the kids inevitably found each other and made ready friends at the playground and between the flower beds. Tamara was a terrific host, checking in on us and, since I’d missed getting the flowers I’d ordered the previous visit due to lack of blooms, she unexpectedly gave me the most gorgeous bouquet on this occasion.
This idyllic spot is so close to Melbourne and with cafes, pub and Foodworks just down the road but feels like a real escape. Can highly recommend!

A group of us stayed at the Cozy Pozy Caravan and Site 2 of Tamara's farm for 3 nights over the new year. We had a great time and Tamara was a fantastic host! Site 2 has a bit of a slope, but there were enough flat areas to comfortably set up 2 tents, a gazebo, and a campervan (with levelling ramps). The camping area is open, but surrounded by beautiful trees with heaps of birdlife. Also friendly goats and sheep that were super cute! Would recommend staying here, and hope to come back!

Tamara's hospitality and van both were amazing. Unfortunately, we had to cut short our trip as it was too hot when we were there and due to it being holiday season majority of the places were closed. But Kinglake is pretty and the Tamara's place is pretty. Our son had a great time with Goats and Sheep.
It is great for couples but maybe a bit challenging with small kids.

Weekend Trip to Mountain Flower Farm
Tamara is an excellent host! The van is very cute and cozy, and the farm is the perfect place to disconnect from the world. I loved the goats!

Great cozy little spot for us fair weather campers. It was a perfect spot for my two city kids, 3 & 9 yrs old. A simplistic night away. All cooking utilities supplied. Just take your bedding. Easy!
The kids loved feeding the goats and lighting the small camp fire.
Literally a 2 minute drive to Kinglake servo for some basic supplies.

The van was well equipped with everything we needed, the bed was very comfortable, the surrounding area was great, and the hosts were lovely. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it. Thanks again!
