Creature comforts
Enjoy the comforts of home at some sites—including flush toilets, showers, and a kitchen.
Northern Lodge Thoroughbreds – Hipcamp RV / Caravan / Camp on the King Parrot River Flats. For those looking for the creature comforts on the property, "The Stables" offers a home away from home. Escape to a private country retreat on the banks of King Parrot Creek. Hipcamp offers a spacious, peaceful setting for caravans, motorhomes, camper trailers and tents, surrounded by magnificent old gums, rolling green hills and the sights and sounds of the creek winding through the property. Choose a spot beneath the trees or in the open grassed areas and settle in with plenty of room around you. Wander along the creek, explore the rocky riverbanks and little rapids, relax beside one of the beautiful swimming holes, or simply pull up a chair and enjoy the tranquillity of the valley. Northern Lodge is also a working thoroughbred property, so the country atmosphere extends beyond the river, with horses and paddocks forming part of the surrounding landscape. High Camp is deliberately kept natural, spacious and uncrowded. It's suited to travellers who enjoy the freedom of bush camping but want somewhere special to stop for a few nights rather than a conventional caravan park. Wake to birds and the sound of running water, spend the afternoon beside the creek and finish the day under the gums as the sun disappears behind the hills. A secluded piece of country Victoria where the campsite is part of the experience.

Peace and quiet, fresh air, walk with natural wildlife on the 2k nature track that follows the King Parrot Creek. If you are quiet enough you can spot platypus at dusk and sunrise and the same goes for the myriad of wombats that have made their homes in the riverbanks. If your passion is of the equine type, I'm sure to be able to help you out.
