Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

The property has an abundance of temperate rainforest including massive gum trees, 6m tall tree ferns, permanent spring fed creeks, our own lake and more Australian wildlife than most zoos*. Living here, we feel like we're on holiday every day of the year.
Camping sites are situated at the back of the property just a quick 5-minute walk from the car park. We'll transport your gear to your campsite so you can get set up quickly and start exploring the property or just kick back and relax. The three campsites are positioned so that you won't hear a sound from any other campers on the property. You will feel like you've got the whole place to yourself. And even though the campsites are isolated you'll still enjoy the convenience of clean regular flushing toilet facilities. But unlike any toilet you'll have used before, you'll get to enjoy a our unique loo with a view which is situated right amongst the rainforest looking out over the magestic tree ferns!
Whether you intend to simply relax and listen to all the birdlife, grab a few drinks and head up to the viewing deck to watch the sunset, or put on your hiking boots and explore the rainforest, whatever you do, you will truly get back to nature. The Whip Stick Forest campsite is located on the outskirts of Bendigo. This is an ideal place to take a break away from it all. Peace and tranquility surrounded by nature. We are just far enough away from the town to offer the outdoors feel and close enough to town to enjoy sightseeing, and many outdoor activities and access to shops, fuel and most of the usual shopping needs.
Here you will find a nice open space amongst the gum trees with drinking water, toilet, and outdoor shower.

Relax under the stars with a warm fire in a secluded spot in the middle of open space and the fresh air.
The property is fenced off, so you can feel safe and secure. You can relax and let the kids can run around knowing they are safe inside the camp ground.

Lily the Rotwieller is only 12 months old and very playful.
She has a thing for shoes, so please make sure they are always hidden away.
Along with anything else you don't want a naughty puppy to make a meal of.
If you don't like dogs you probably shouldn't stay here as my dogs love people.
Only minutes from town where you will find supplies, close to the local swimming pool and 10 minutes from a popular watering hole.

A secluded get-away, Sea Mist is positioned at the end of The Great Ocean Road. Just a short walk from Logans Beach Whale Nursery and the picturesque Hopkins River. Close to enjoy a variety of water activites swimming, fishing, kayaking, surfing.
Logans Beach Day Spa and a female gym is 5 minute walk up the road from the property. Proudfoots, a historic restaurant, on the Hopkins River about a 15 minute stroll across the bridge and along the river walk past the boat moorings. They are well known for delicious food, great place to go for tea or weekend breakfast. There is also a walking /riding track and board walk promenade that will follows the foreshore and finishes at the Break Water passing the Warrnambool Surf Club, Lake Pertobe and some terrific restaurants, Simons and The Pavilion to note, which is a great place for breakfast or lunch.
The CBD is only 5 minutes drive from the property great variety of restaurants, art galleries, gift shops, boutiques and speciality shops as well as supermarkets and other large chain stores such as, Woolworths, Coles, Audi, K-Mart and Target.
Set on 2 acres, Sea Mist was purchased as a subdivision in 1998. The garden and house were also designed then and given council approval the following year. The extensive gardens incorporate both design ideas that Edna Walling used, and Bill Mollison and David Holgren developed with their Permaculture principals. The gardens were established over a number of years to follow, aiming to be as sustainable as possible.
Although the property has town water connected, for most of the year it runs totally on tank water. The wastewater is recycled and used on many of the gardens.
We have organic orchard and vegetable gardens that use companion planting and successive crop rotation.
Guests are free to spend time in the garden and pick some fruit and herbs for a snack to use in cooking a meal. Please be respectful and leave plenty for others to share.

We had such a great stay here! Our campsite was right near the river and we were lucky enough to have the whole area to ourselves :) Our two dogs loved exploring the campground and listening to all the birds. Cameron was really friendly and welcoming when we arrived, and the toilets were clean. Having firewood close by and a communal wheelbarrow made collecting it so easy. We can’t wait to come back! :) thank you!

We arrived at River Lynn, drove through the property, and instantly knew we’d stumbled upon something special. A simple straight drive through Cameron’s property leads you down to the banks of the Murray. There are very large grasses sites very well spread out, so you don’t feel like you would be invading other campers space there is more than enough room. We were lucky enough to mostly have the place to ourselves. 3 adults and 3 kids. As picturesque as you’ll find in the area, there are tall trees everywhere, easy access on a gentle slope to the beach along the river. All you can hear is nature, the occasional paddle steamer passing which the kids loved, and the sounds of birds and the river. Absolute beautiful property, and we were lucky enough to meet Cameron and have a good chat with him during our first night’s stay. Excellent porta loos for guests kept very clean, power and water supplied was a bonus, (same as if you were at a caravan park) but with the feel of free camping along the Murray banks. Exceptional stay, and we will be back many more times 100%. Thanks Cameron for making us feel at home.

Very large site that I’m sure is packed during peak times. During winter and outside of school holidays however, it was very quiet with only a couple of others on site which kept things private. All required amenities if required and plenty of things to see and do, even if you have kids. Can get a bit windy being so close to the cape though!

A clean and spacious paddock in a quite spot. We spend 3 days here and would come back again. Although the weather was cold we felt comfortable knowing there was clean toliets, a warm outdoor private onsight shower, rubbish bins and fire pits! 4 other campers where quitely spaced out during our stay over a weekend most people kept to themselves.

We enjoyed Chrissy’s hospitality and the company of her lovely pups. We were staying on site 3 in our opinion the most private especially if you back in. Power & water available but a long connection needed. We would definitely recommend anyone needing a quick escape and very good value for money

Was a fantastic campsite that Chris has set up. Great firepit and amenities for the 2 nights and Chris was extremely friendly and helpful (and showed us their new baby goat). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a premium camping experience.

We had a wonderful time at Gilwell Park. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and we felt safe throughout our stay. There were plenty of activities to keep the kids entertained, making it a fantastic place for families. We’d definitely recommend Gilwell Park and would happily stay here again.

Such a beautiful get away with the most insane rainforest view! We enjoyed our time so much and the dogs loved it even more. Definitely need to book the viewing platform as the panoramic views with the sunset were otherworldly. We will be back for sure!
