Campers with their own toilet facilities need to ensure all toilet waste is to be taken off the property.
Somerville Park is a 500acre property at Fosterville, 20mins from Bendigo. There are a variety of campsites suitable for self-contained guests who have their own toilet/shower facilities and drinking water. We also have 2 newly developed powered sites for your convenience. Please note, all toilet waste is strictly to be taken off the property. Campfires are permitted in provided fire-pits or your own portable metal fire-pit out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. Some sites also provide chairs and table settings for your convenience.
The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to some sites on the property.
The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away.
The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast. Loud, party groups with music at high volume are not permitted. Chainsaws and motorbikes are also not permitted.

Beach fire at night is something special to do.
The beach track is across from the front gate, there is no beach sign from the road because the public will then use the track which is only for Hipcampers and you wont enjoy the deserted beach. Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. This walking access is steep, easier tracks can be driven to down the road.
Or take a dip in the river further down the road, and explore the waterways,
with many birds; black swans in the lakes next to camp, plus kangaroos, wombats, emu and deer.
There is a boat ramp just down the road to explore the river system.
Perfect for water sports, and with fish cleaning tables at the wharf.
Go by boat to the Marlo Hotel from the
wharf straight over the river.
Orbost is 15 minutes drive and has a supermarket, hotel, bottle shop and other conveniences.
We are open to accepting larger group bookings, but please discuss this with us first.

and exploring the High Country (4-5 hour round trip).
- Visit the Buchan Caves about an hour into the High Country - they are amazing.

Please note, all toilet waste is strictly to be taken off the property. Campfires are permitted in provided fire-pits or your own portable metal fire-pit out of fire restriction times and feel free to bring your furry friends, making sure they're leashed at all times. Some sites also provide chairs and table settings for your convenience.
The farm is completely surrounded by the Wellsford state forest which offers bush walking and many tracks for bike riding. Mt Sugarloaf which is situated south of the property provides a great hike. Spectacular sunrises and sunsets create beautiful reflections on the water in the numerous dams on the property. Rainfall can restrict access to some sites on the property.
The city of Bendigo is 25mins drive. Epsom is a 15min drive where you will find a shopping centre which includes a petrol station, Woollies, Pizza, Chemist Warehouse, Aldi, Brumbys Bakery, Reject Shop, Fish and Chips and BWS. Lake Eppalock is a 25min drive where you can engage in water sport activities. The Campaspe River is 10mins away.
The farm is very quiet and restful with the sounds of abundant native bird life and provides great subjects and scenery for the photographic enthusiast. Loud, party groups with music at high volume are not permitted. Chainsaws and motorbikes are also not permitted.

The beach track is across from the front gate, there is no beach sign from the road because the public will then use the track which is only for Hipcampers and you wont enjoy the deserted beach. Call me if you cant find the track, but most people have not had a problem. This walking access is steep, easier tracks can be driven to down the road.
Or take a dip in the river further down the road, and explore the waterways,
with many birds; black swans in the lakes next to camp, plus kangaroos, wombats, emu and deer.
There is a boat ramp just down the road to explore the river system.
Perfect for water sports, and with fish cleaning tables at the wharf.
Go by boat to the Marlo Hotel from the
wharf straight over the river.
Orbost is 15 minutes drive and has a supermarket, hotel, bottle shop and other conveniences.
We are open to accepting larger group bookings, but please discuss this with us first.

Lovely place with nice level, large sites in peaceful, pretty surrounds. Sadly I was only on a one night stopover passing through this time - I would have liked some time just relaxing and enjoying the place. I'll be back!

My friend Emily and I had the best camping trip at Bayview Camping Jaswar’s Paradise!
The site was private, enclosed and had a beautiful view of the horses. John and Liz were kind, attentive and made us feel welcome - they happily helped transport us between the jetty and the general store, and even dropped off some much needed medication we’d forgotten. We were very lucky to meet their 130+ animals, pat the horses and pick some of their blackberries. Highly recommend staying here for a peaceful getaway not far from Melbourne.

We had the most amazing stay at this beautiful oceanfront campsite. It was incredibly peaceful, with so much to explore — perfect for throwing a rod in, snorkelling, and letting the kids roam and enjoy nature.
One of the highlights was seeing the adorable baby calves in the nearby paddock — such a special touch that made the stay even more memorable.
Fiona was absolutely lovely and so prompt with communication, making everything easy from start to finish. We’ll definitely be back — highly recommend for families and anyone wanting a relaxing coastal escape!

We were very fortunate to have access to this very special piece of coastline on privately owned farmland to ourselves. Abundant birdlife, natural rock walled pools, cooling sea breezes and the sound of the distant surf crashing against the outer rocks - it doesn’t get any better. We were told the diving and fishing isn’t bad either. We hope to return one day to stay longer.

We had a great stay here. It’s a fantastic open space where dogs are allowed off leash, which made it perfect for us. The host was very friendly and welcoming. It’s also only about a 10-minute walk to the beach, which was very convenient.
We stayed at the top paddock, which is the larger one and a bit further from the beach, but I actually preferred it for the extra space and privacy. Would definitely recommend to others and would happily come back again.

Fantastic location, clean facilities, no issues with noise or anything else tbh. The views of the night sky from the beachfront on the campsite are breathtaking.
Really close to the national park and there is so much to do there great quiet location to come back and relax after big days exploring, lastly staff are really friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area which is always very welcoming.

You wouldn't necessarily expect that being parked in the middle of a field would be all that relaxing but it is! There is lots of space between guests, it's very quiet and the beach is a short 10 min stroll away. Apparently there are fire pits available when the weather is suitable which we will look forward to next time. Make sure you bring your own shade as there are no trees. Very dog friendly. Would definitely recommend to others.

Was a great place to stay, quiet & easy access to the main road, beach & public toilets if needed.. through the side gate. Bit windy at times when we were there, but can’t control the weather, so that’s nothing on the property..! Will definitely return 😊

Beautiful ocean-front spot. Great fishing straight off the rocks and awesome snorkelling. Beautiful sunsets and sunrises over the water. Fiona was amazing to communicate with and gave us some good tips on fishing and snorkeling and places to visit around the coast. Such an amazing place, we loved it and would 100% stay again!
