Located in a small coastal community, featuring a general store and a fantastic bar at the Surf life saving club ( open from 4-8pm summer only). Unpowered site with portaloo, bbq with wok burner, outdoor cool shower and shade. Excellent spot for summer holiday. Campfires allowed only in winter months. Wifi accessible. BBQ and picnic table available. Great spot for our weekend camp adventure. The site was exactly as described. Lots of amenities and very spacious for the two of us and our dog. Very quiet little neighbourhood and so close to everything in Sandy Point. Definitely worth a return visit.

Very friendly host who I met the final night of the stay, she was warm and looking for any way to make my stay even more comfortable! The block itself is a lovely little set up with outdoor cold water shower and portaloo both set up behind a privacy divider. The block itself is nicely contained and private enough to feel like you have your own space even with the road quite close. Great location to have a short walk to beach access and honestly just a great spot for a quiet getaway!

Monica's block is perfectly situated to explore Waratah Bay and the surrounding district. Very quiet, shady block and well protected from wind . The beach only a short stroll away . Loved our stay here and loved reminiscing my teenage years spent in this beautiful region . Thanks for sharing this gem of a spot

The camp site was exactly as shown/explained. It’s a little private camping spot with a port-a-loo discretely behind a fence & a cold water shower in a nook, good little gas BBQ with burner for boiling hot water or cooking and a sink set up from a bore water hose. BYO drinking water. Monica provides a tub with a few small pots BBQ equipment etc & good size outdoor table/few chairs (one is super comfortable) First day necessities all there, toilet paper, washing liquid etc until you get set up for longer stay. The property has privacy fencing but is not secure for dogs. I set up a little run and they loved exploring the well manicured garden. Monica has attention to detail & the garden has herbs, succulents and natives with great tea tree & gum shade trees. There is a worm compost, recycling & general rubbish bins. There is a solar ‘disco ball’ you can hang in the tree for night light but provide your own lights. Monica was an excellent host who popped in after we arrived to show us the set up & provided lots of local information. Apart from that we had absolute privacy. It rained heavily our first night & Monica sent a message to offer blankets or anything we needed, she is very generous, caring and helpful by message. The property is a few mins walk to Ned Neal’s beach (off lead for dogs) a short walk to general store/main surf beach and 25 min walk to the inlet. We set up a 6 meter tent & had plenty of space. Car parked in driveway for extra privacy. Thanks Monika

Monica was a lovely host who tended to our needs (she even lended us raincoats as we forgot to bring our own, and bought us incense to help us keep the bugs away!). The facilities were great - Awesome BBQ, fire chiminea which was great for keeping us warm at night, good simple running water / sink situation. Scenic 30 min drive from Wilson’s Prom. Another highlight of our weekend was having a resident koala staying in the tree next to us! Highly recommend, we would definitely stay here again.

We recently stayed at this block in our 2 swags annd an 4x4 gazebo with a side tent and couldn’t have been happier with our experience. The location is fantastic—just an easy 8-minute walk to the beach—and the site itself is a private, bushy block that feels secluded and peaceful. One of the standout features was how well-equipped the site was. It came with a table, BBQ, toilet, bins, a kitchen sink, and even a chiminea, which made our camping experience extra comfortable. We felt a bit spoilt, actually! The added touches, like a porta-loo and even a couch, made it much more convenient than your standard campsite. A special highlight was the kindness of a neighbour across the road, who let our daughter visit his property to see a beautiful koala up close—such a memorable experience! Monica, the host, was fantastic—she was extremely helpful and always quick to respond to messages, making everything smooth and stress-free. This site is also in a prime location for exploring the area. It’s a great base for visiting Sandy Point Beach, Shallow Inlet, Walkerville, Venus Bay, and of course, Wilson’s Promontory. We highly recommend this campsite for anyone looking for a well-equipped, private, and peaceful spot to enjoy nature while still having some extra comforts. We’ll definitely be back!

I had an amazing stay at Monica’s campsite! The location is perfect – just a short 5-minute walk to a beautiful, dog-friendly surf beach, ideal for morning walks and swims. The grassy, semi-shaded area for camping offers a peaceful vibe, and though it’s unpowered, the clean public facilities are only a quick stroll away, open 24/7. I loved the rustic charm of the site and the friendly, laid-back atmosphere. The small coastal community nearby is charming, with a great general store and a wonderful local café that’s open from spring to winter. The BBQ and picnic table were a nice touch for evening meals, and the availability of wifi was a bonus for staying connected. This is an excellent spot for a summer holiday, offering a perfect balance of nature, convenience, and relaxation. I highly recommend Monica’s campsite for anyone looking for a peaceful and enjoyable getaway!

We thoroughly enjoyed camping at Monica’s. The generously sized, flat, grassy site is well equiped for a comfortable stay. There’s shade and sun whichever you prefer, and plenty of privacy and quiet. The beautiful, safe beach is reachable within 10min walk through stunning coastal heath land. Monica was always responsive, helpful and thoughtful and dedicated to make our stay enjoyable. Sandy point and her block are a hidden gem and we immediately thought to return regularly.

The camp site was as advertised. It was tidy when we arrived and all camping block facilities in good working order. Monica was a friendly and helpful host. We found Sandy Point to be a lovely quiet community, with the beach in easy walking distance. We felt quite safe there, and we had enough privacy. Be warned: Hot weather is not guaranteed at Sandy Point. We went in summer time (end of December), thinking it would be hot, and it barely topped 22 degrees celcius for the 3 days we were there. It was our own fault for not doing more research before selecting a holiday location. Bring lots of warm clothes and you'll be fine :)

The camp site is perfect for novice campers like me. Went with my two boys (8 and 5) and we pitched a tent, cooked on the bbq, and enjoyed bike rides and trips to the beach. Also had a wonderful day trip to Wilson's Promontory.

I didn't received the confirmation on time. The website said if no confirmation is given by this date, then you have not book the place. So I made separate arrangements. Then I was actually charged for the night, when no confirmation was given!

Great spot for a small camper or tent. Plenty of room to set up with great shade provided by a grand old Bursaria tree. Lots of bird life. Good basic facilities provided, bbq, shower with cold water, sink and portaloo. Situated in a quiet area walking distance to general store.

A quiet sanctuary, minutes walk to likely the very best beach in Victoria. Loved the constant hum of the ocean, had a koala + baby koala come visit camp, plenty of ringtail opossum, and a spotted a echidna nearby.

Sandy point is fantastic! This block is a great spot with plenty of space. And only a short walk to the dog beach! It's really just set up for camping, with no toilet or power. There is a cold shower which is great after you've been at the beach. Overall if you're looking for a simple getaway in a great location this is a good choice ☺️

We stayed at sandy point with our two kids and dog ! Was a good location for us with the park just down the road the kids loved it ! There was a koala in the tree across the road and the kids were excited to see that also ! The beach was lovely and the dog friendly part was great ! Got a glimpse of the southern aurora on sunset at the local lookout ! Amazing
