Riverside King Valley is set on 16 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away.
Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras).
Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Generators can be used but must be used with others in mind.

91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season.
It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season.
The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. For the serious wine lover the property is within 15km of the Yarra Valley Wine Growing area with many wineries offering tastings.

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are right beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady,
surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn .
Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far.
Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space.
All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck.
All sites and river swimming are clothing optional, but please respect other campers in public area's if on site.
In response to a recent review, I will point out that the driveway is a gravel farm track.
We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a
short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant
and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). I am hoping to increase the nesting and habitat for as many local birds as possible, which has improved, but can get better with Your help. Not destroying large logs and tree's is first and foremost. But if you are inclined , funds for creating nesting spots are greatly appreciated. You can directly ask for donations to go towards specific prospects/ projects. Tawney frog mouths have loved this site till very recently, without explanation, found two dead in last 9 months, that don't explain how or why. For donations specific to conservation, please contact me direct.
With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

Riverside King Valley is set on 16 acres on the banks of the King river featuring 10 spacious campsite spread along the property. Just a half an hour drive from Wangaratta, 45 minutes from Benalla and an hour from Mansfield. Each site offers something a little different whether it is a spacious site for a large group or party or a smaller site for a family weekend away.
Our site is accessible for all vehicle types and is dog-friendly as long as pets are well-controlled. Campfires are allowed when restrictions aren’t in place, and firewood and kindling is available for purchase (see Extras).
Please keep in mind that the property is a working farm and there will be cars and machinery onsite nearby to some of the sites. Each powered site has only 1 power supply. Generators can be used but must be used with others in mind.

91 Gordons Bridge Road was once part of a pine plantation that had been planted in the late 60's and harvested just prior to the Black Saturday fires. Across the road from the Kinglake National Park, it is surrounded by protected flora and fauna. Victoria's Pink heath, wattles and tea tree provide a pleasant backdrop in season.
It is not an uncommon site to see an echidna or two on the property, with black wallabies, kangaroos and wombats often seen grazing on pasture in the evening. The mud turrets are the home of endangered land yabbies and Lyrebirds have been seen in the area. Feral deer have come to inhabit nearby properties and sometimes wonder down the track. Birds watchers will enjoy a variety of bird life that inhabit the area including eagle hawks, fairy wrens, kookaburras, rosellas, parrots and yellow tailed black cockatoos when in season.
The area is a popular spot for hikers with the start of the Mountain Creek trail only a few kms down Gordons Bridge Road and serious cyclists train regularly, on Mount Slide, especially on the weekend. For the serious wine lover the property is within 15km of the Yarra Valley Wine Growing area with many wineries offering tastings.

Nestled right beside the Murrundini River, all 3 campsites are right beside the river, and well spaced apart for privacy and peace. Campsite 2 (site two) is shady,
surrounded by tall swamp gums, black wood wattles and tree ferns. This spot is at its best from late spring through to autumn .
Site One is a large flat area beside the river that is good all year round. It has fencing and gates, perfect to let dogs run free without going too far.
Site 3 (Craig's flat), is a large open campsite, able to take more camper-vans/ tents with plenty of space.
All sites have fire places and gas BBQ's (byo gas bottle) And there are plenty of fish for those that want to try their luck.
All sites and river swimming are clothing optional, but please respect other campers in public area's if on site.
In response to a recent review, I will point out that the driveway is a gravel farm track.
We have some fantastic views from the hill up and down the Murundindi Valley, especially at sunset. We're located only a few short km's from Wilhelmina Falls and Murundindi Scenic Reserve, you get the best part of the river, without the crowds. We are a
short drive from Melbourne, and easy access to the townships of Yea and Yarra Glen for supplies if you need them. Amazing, abundant
and rare bird life to enjoy and photograph. (see guests photos). I am hoping to increase the nesting and habitat for as many local birds as possible, which has improved, but can get better with Your help. Not destroying large logs and tree's is first and foremost. But if you are inclined , funds for creating nesting spots are greatly appreciated. You can directly ask for donations to go towards specific prospects/ projects. Tawney frog mouths have loved this site till very recently, without explanation, found two dead in last 9 months, that don't explain how or why. For donations specific to conservation, please contact me direct.
With no light pollution this is the ideal spot for star gazing.

Our property, "Seven Hills Tallarook", sits high above Tallarook with deep valleys and high peaks, just over one hour North of Melbourne's CBD. The property is 600 acres of thick Victorian bush and farmed paddocks.
We have a wide range of hobby farm animals - pigs, sheep, alpacas, chickens, ponies, a donkey, along with commercial heard of South African Boer Goats. As night falls, the wildlife come out to play - kangaroos, rabbits, deer and wallabies.
Internally, we have in excess of 10 kilometers of roads within the property, the majority being 2WD accessible (weather conditions apply). There are parts of the property which are only 4WD accessible.
Our campsites are placed to allow you to be as isolated as possible - away from other campers (you may see others as you drive past, or they drive past you). At some of our bush sites, you will be able to see other campers, but they are not close by.
Additionally, we anticipate our Fire Danger Period for the 2025/2026 Summer Season will commence in the coming weeks. We have not toggled the Fire Ban on as we do still allow campfires, however campers MUST adhere to CFA guidelines at all times. On days of Total Fire Ban (TFB), no fires, including gas stoves can be lit outdoors. In event of the TFB toggle needing to be used on Hipcamp, this will advise all guests booked on that day and to all future guests. We will toggle it off once the TFB is removed. Furthermore, we reserve the right to ask you not to light a fire regardless of TFB status if we feel weather conditions are unsafe, especially the wind element. We cannot plan the weather and the request to not light your campfires will most likely be on the day and we will advise as such. Our interest is with your safety, our neighbors and our property and our family.

My 7th time camping at this amazing spot. Glen and Kim never fail to deliver. The time and effort they put into the property to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable is truly a credit to them. Absolutely loved site 3 on Michael’s property. Each site is isolated from the other, grassed, tree lined and a fire pit - all adjacent to the river. Our dog loved the swimming. Perfect for that weekend getaway. Michael is extremely friendly and his communication skills were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble. We have a 2 wheel drive motor home and had no problems navigating the camp site/property. A working toilet and hand basin are located about 80 metres from site 3 - which was a bonus. The property has wonderful views overlooking the mountains. A hilly walk to a nearby lookout and seat was stunning in the early morning. All in all we had a wonderful time and I would recommend this property.

Paddock location but good wind protection from the huge pine trees. Large area for each camp spot. Wayne was very nice, stopped for a chat each day. Fabulous location, away from towns and people and close to major attractions (Race track, Penguin Parade, winery etc)

Fantastic once past the check in area. A bit unassuming at the entry I admit with ‘stuff’ laying around.
Once past that…. so relaxing!
Close and easy access to the river. Great toilets and shower. Plenty of shade, huge sites and nothings a trouble to Daemon. His dogs are beautiful too.

I came to get away by myself for one night and stayed for two. The lovely hosts Glen and Kim were so welcoming and there was always clear communication. The sites are flat and so spacious right on the creek. What a peaceful place. I love that it’s dog friendly (I wish I’d brought my pup) and I can’t wait to come back with a small group of like minded nature loving friends. I dipped in and out of the creek all day.

We had a pleasant stay at Mountain Flower Farm, right next to Kinglake, about an hour from Melbourne, and dog-friendly. The property had a peaceful vibe with an immersive morning mist, which was a lovely experience. The price maaaaybe a bit steep given the fire pit being offline (fire ban), and the property being a bit scrappy in places. The number of horse flies was a bit of a surprise too! As experienced hosts ourselves, we see it as a budget-friendly option with room for improvement, a very viable option if needing access to Melbourne or Kinglake.

This has got to be the most well looked-after property I have seen in any recent memory. Really - just so nice. We camped at Camp 1 and had lots of space to spread out. The lake was at our doorstep and a welcome escape from the heat. It’s very shallow with lots of vegetation so floating on the surface is the way to go!
The shower / toilet was amazing - spotless and real luxury for camping. We had a whole spectrum of weather and conditions and no real issues. It can get quite windy so def peg down your stuff securely. A great spot and will def come back. Thanks so much!
