Serene, relaxing, doggy friendly!

Badgery Point was perfect for us! No longer can we deal with busy holiday parks, and with a doggy, we can’t go to National parks. Badgery point was serene. So much space for groups to camp, with zero cross over, no noise from others. Just great huge flat areas with enormous fire pits and views of water all around. Our boys and dog could run, we swam in the lake, collected sticks, watched the kangaroos moving from one side to another and enjoyed cooking on the campfire. Whilst the lake looked muddy at the edge, it was easy to enter and sandy under the feet. It is a big rural property, and people should expect ants and prickles. The recommended sites were perfect and free from the burrs, and the ants didn’t bother us one bit. This was our first HipCamp experience and we will be back!

Loved our stay. Plenty of areas to choose from with a vast amount of area so we can really feel like we are all alone. great with the dogs too as they had unlimited space to run.
only note is check the wind and camp near some of the tree cover unlike what we did.

This is our second time at Badgery Point and it will not be our last! We love the peace and quiet, the epic space, the awesome kayaking, the mob of roos that hop past every evening and morning, the bird life. The fact its an easy drive from Melbourne and 5 mins from a town is a bonus!!!
A magic spot that we will always return to!

Beautiful, relaxing camp. We stayed over cup weekend for 5 nights. By the end of our stay we were the only van on the property.
Be prepared if the forecast is wind gusts it does gust we managed to stick it out for the one day gusts got up to 50km.
Prue the host was informative and friendly with prompt replies.
The tranquillity is worth it will definitely return.

Bush camping with waterfront views

We had an absolutely superb long weekend away at Badgery Point, bush camping in our new self contained caravan on her maiden voyage.
Directions were easy to follow to the camp, and other campers followed the 300m rule, so most of the time it felt like you had the place to yourself.
Will definitely be back with our little family and hopefully bring some friends up too.

Second time at this Hipcamp and will definitely be back again. Great location, plenty of picturesque sites to choose from. 300m rule means lots of space between campers. Fantastic communication from the host. Lots to do in the area or nothing and enjoy the big sky water front views.

This was our second time staying at this wonderful campsite called Badgery Point.
With so many acres it feels like you’re camping alone. And no matter where you camp you have beautiful views of Waranga Basin.
Camp hosts are fantastic and provide you with so much details about your stay it makes it easy to just roll in and set up.
Close to the great little town of rushworth (bakery and ice cream shop are always a hit with this family).
It is pet friendly, this is one of our Aussie sheps favourites - there is just so much space for a run.

Host are amazing people that help with lots of things. There was 2 people trespassing the property on dirt bikes that had caused trouble according to the owner. We were a little cautious to leave our site for fear of them stealing/destroying things. Apart from that being so alone is very refreshing and liberating, massive space to take advantage of.

What a great Hipcamp! Spent a cold Kings birthday weekend there but thanks to the fantastic location still had a great time. Heaps of sites to choose from, great views, lots of wildlife, plenty of firewood.
Really like the 300meter rule as it felt like we had the place to ourselves.
Will definitely be back.

Great place if you want privacy. Camping around Waranga basin/lake. Can get windy. Heaps of kangaroos, firepits all around, or make your own , no set sites, just pick a space and enjoy. We had kayaks but to windy to go out. Just beware of the ants.

When the developers were dreaming up the HipCamp app, this is the sort of place they were thinking about. Massive open areas with fantastic views of the lakes and no one near you. It is perfect for the dogs to run around and for you to relax, enjoy the spectacular views of the lake and surrounding countryside. It is also a very easy drive from Melbourne. Will be back for sure. Great communication and instructions sent in a timely manner. It couldn't be easier.
