We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents. Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

Here, you'll find 25 acres with water frontage, overlooking the Belfast Lough. The Block is just 300 metres off the highway and has all-weather road access, so it's ideal for an overnight pit stop or to park up for a few days and enjoy the region. From camp, you'll have views of Port fairy and Tower hill. There is a golf course and airstrip on the opposite side of the Belfast Lough. And it's just two minutes drive from Port Fairy, and 15 minutes from Warrnambool. Electricity is available if needed, and we do have bore water (unsuitable for drinking). The Belfast Lough is fed by the Moyne River, which passes through Port Fairy. It's a great spot for recreational fishing, with black bream, sea mullet, estuary perch, mulloway, whiting, barracouta, snapper and Australian salmon. The estuarine salt marshes provide important feeding areas for many migratory bird species and the endangered Orange-bellied parrot - so it's also a great spot for bird watchers!

There are a number of water holes on the property the wildlife like to enjoy.The property borders a section of the Great South West Walk and you can easily get onto the track from here. This walk has some stunning scenery and is a great spot to enjoy this part of the coastline, all from a comfortable base back at camp.Campfires are permitted in the fire pit provided pending there is no restrictions in place. Talisker is an 11 bedroom, 5 bathroom home at this stage. Initially forming part of the Merino Downs pastoral run (taken up by Francis Henty in 1836). Talisker passed to Francis’s daughter Caroline on the death of Francis in 1889. Merino Downs was one of the first three squatting runs established in Victoria. Following Caroline’s marriage to Angus McLeod, the Talisker Homestead was commissioned by architect Charles D’Ebro prominent for his design of Stonnington (Malvern) and Langi Willie (Skipton). The homestead (circa 1901) is a large U shaped designed Edwardian home of some 26 rooms (not all are available to guests as some parts of the home are undergoing further renovations). Featuring a viewing tower with expansive 360 degree views, elaborate plasterwork, colour leadlights and handsome timber and marble mantles throughout the home. The original garden design is evident with Bunya Bunya pines, a large Oak and a Kurrajong tree. Talisker is named for Angus McLeod’s (please note McLeod and MacLeod are used interchangeably) ancestral seat on the Isle of Skye. Talisker was for centuries a possession of the Clan MacLeod. In 1820 Donald Macleod, 6th of Talisker, sold his interest in Talisker and emigrated to Van Diemen's Land, now known as Tasmania. In 1825, Hugh MacAskill took over the Talisker estate and completed the clearance process begun under his predecessor. Five years later, in 1830, he founded the Talisker Distillery and the legendary Talisker whisky was born.

1 night at Pine Ridge
Great paddock for an overnighter, plus they have a Highland Cow (say less). We are on our way back to Perth from Melb and this served as a nice spot to pull in for a night. Freezing cold and rainy but the highland cow (Nin) and the cows next paddock over were a nice treat to say hi to despite the weather. We’re traveling in a swag with our dog. Paddock was level and fire pit was provided. No complaints! Thank you

The owner was super friendly and communicated well, and it was on a beautiful piece of land. Surrounded with alot of wildlife such as emus, kangaroo and koloas. Totally private, the facilities were clean and easy to get to. I camped with a my dog and bird.

Weekend Trip to Bryton Wood Campsite
This is the perfect spot for anyone visiting Mount Gambier. I highly recommend it. Not far from town yet so peacefull. A huge grass area with fire pits. Although we couldn’t use them as it was raining most of our trip. Toni was quick at responding to any questions and very helpful although we didn’t get to meet her as we were out most days. Would definitely come back here.

Loved our stay here - sites are HUGE and each have a fire pit. The newest addition, the highland cow - was definitely the highlight. She’s a beautiful part of the farm stay experience. We definitely recommend.

On arrival Sue and Andrew greeted us with a very warm welcome. Parked the van up and offered us power and water. We were shown around with access to a beautiful pergola area with BBQ especially for the guests. Close to Warrnambool, Port Fairy and Portland all absolutely beautiful places to visit. Would highly recommend staying here and we would definitely visit again. Thanks so much

There is plenty of room to move at Bryton and all sites are flat. Toni and their two dogs met us and were very easy to speak too. Bryan came around later with some info for us . Firewood is available as well. It was an easy and quick drive into Mt Gambier from the camp. If we are down this way again we would definitely stay here.

What a fabulous spot to explore Mt Gambier, only 10min out of town! The sites are HUGE, it was so peaceful, great for the kids to run around, and if you prefer space than being crammed in a caravan park, this is perfect. You need to be fully self contained. Owners were super friendly & even gifted us a jar of their delicious local honey. Would definitely recommend 🤗

A great place to stay and park our caravan. Close to Mt Gambier and all the things we wanted to see and do. Bryan and Toni were very welcoming and accommodating. Girls were free to explore and we even met Ralph (Highland cow) and Bryan and Toni brought down food for the girls to feed him.
