Nomadic camping
Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. Access to campsites is Via Brown Road, not Caroline Road. Please see directions once booking is made. We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents. Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

We had a lovely stay at Pine Ridge Hipcamp and can't recommend it highly enough. The site was clean and freshly mowed, and setting up the caravan was easy. There was plenty of firewood, so we had a fire each evening, which was a highlight of the trip. The owners were very friendly and easy to talk to from start to finish. Their directions to the park were clear, so we found it without any trouble. They made us feel welcome straight away and even invited us to meet and feed their miniature goats. It was a lovely experience and a real personal touch. The park is close to Mt Gambier, so it's an easy drive to all the local sights. It is also very quiet. The only sounds we heard were the birds and the local animals, which made it a relaxing place to unwind at the end of each day. If you're looking for a clean, quiet and welcoming place to stay near Mt Gambier, we would definitely recommend this park. We hope to come back soon!

Pine Ridge is great for exploring Mount Gambier & surrounding areas. Sites are clearly marked & spacious, unfortunately you don't know till you arrive if you booked a shaded site or a site in full sun. The mowing could be done on a more regular basis (this maybe due to poor weather) We would stay again based on location & privacy.

Lovely open paddock space, easy to access. Kid friendly. Owner took us to feed their miniature goats. We stayed two nights, close to town for all the things but so quiet at night. No road noise. Kangaroos in the morning. Highly recommend.

Paddock was soaked and grass was 1/2 way up your shins. Probably could not get in to slash it due to weather. Hidden fire pits (used steel truck rims) in the long grass. We hit one, no damage but a smaller rig may have been impacted. One fire pits (that we found) in the middle of the paddock too. We marked it with a tall stick so others could avoid. Hosts very amenable and friendly

The spot itself was lovely and quiet but the paddock badly needed mowing. We almost drove into one of the “buried to ground height” fire pits because of the lenght of the grass/weeds. The firewood on offer was green and luckily we had our chainsaw as there was none in the firewood box and we just cut it from a cut down tree in the paddock. Was nice and close to Mount Gambier though.

Great country spot close to the main town. Plenty of space so you dont feel like your in other peoples pockets. Lots of wildlife getting around. Only issue we had is the weather turned wet and the grass was a bit long for my little dog so he got a wet belly when he left the van. Love that it's pet friendly. Thank you.

Highland Coo Pine Ridge
Lovely spot with a short drive to town and all the key attractions. Sites include fire pits and perimeter hay bails for privacy. We were there in autumn and looking for full sun for solar and to dry recent wet weather - pick Orange, Pink, Yellow, Red. Others, including Highland Coo, are shady in the afternoons.

Loved the open space and peace and quiet. We found it easy to find and was a great base to explore Mt Gambier. We had a great stay and would absolutely recommend or come back if we are travelling in the area again. The cow was super cute too.

Highland Coo Pine Ridge
We had a great time at pine coo! we enjoyed the fire pit and the cute highland cow! Easy access and very close to mount gambier so a great base for exploring the area! Had plenty of space from other campers It’s very close to the speedway so would recommend checking if there is any events prior to booking - the final was occurring on one of our nights and it was quite loud!
