Enjoy the peaceful surroundings of Harry's Rockleigh Bush Camp. The free-range sites are on lovely flat camping areas amongst native trees, overlooking adjacent fields. One on-site caravan for two people with double bed, gas stove and small fridge is available to rent. Enjoy bird watching or walking part of the Lavender Trail which passes near camp. Relax at the communal campfire (depending on fire regulations). The camping grounds offer a generous amount of space, and great sunrises. We have available fire pits, bush toilet, bush shower and a camp kitchen with gas BBQ. BYO firewood, toilet paper and dishwashing liquid. Pease take your rubbish with you when you leave. Pets welcome on leash at all times. Children under 2 are free. Do not include them in your booking or they will be charged. Campers need to arrive no later than 6.30pm unless otherwise arranged. The property is around an hour drive from Adelaide, and Murray Bridge is only 20 km away. Please note: We ask that you treat all of nature and animals with respect. For example chasing animals, the use of drones, climbing or breaking trees is not allowed. Adults are responsible for their children at all times.

Sit on the same banks as the First Peoples of the River Murray and look for clues of their history. This River Murray floodplain was cleared to be a fruit block is slowly being restored back. Now being restored to its former fruitful floodplain glory. Revegetation is underway to provide more shade and restore the site. Site now includes a compostable toilet!

The road to the house branches off the main road down a laneway giving a sence of seclusion and escape as the lanewsy runs down a natural reserve witch hosts kookaburras, black cockatoos, kangaroos, wallaby's, ring tail possums and wide variety of bird life nestling amongst the towering cypress and gum trees. It is almost a private drive as Bella Mia is one of only 2 properties on this lane. Cool quiet pine forests are the back drop of this property. Owner of the property Nick is a pilot living in Europe, the property is managed by Kath a very experience holiday accommodation manager who knows what it takes to satisfy a range of guests needs and privacy. Kath lives on property so never far away if need her for anything. The main house on property is listed as a popular holiday accommodation house sleeping 6 guests. The house has access to a shared indoor pool (not heated) and a rustic tennis court. Camp sites for fully self sufficient campers is available in the paddoch area away from the main house. There is access to water tank refilling however no hook ups. 15 mins from Mount Gambier and the home of the famous Blue Lake and many sink holes in the area. 1 hour from the ever popular Coonawarra Wine Region and beaches are 30 - 45 min away. Enjoy star filled nights, stunning sunsets and sunrises and breathing in the fresh air surrounding Bella Mia.

Flat cropping and grazing property with a rise up at the Eastern end where a native forest and scrub exists. There are two creek lines joining to make a single stream with four dams also on the property. Potential for vineyard and with an airfield close by and a quality dirt road running along the Western boundary and a surveyed road along the northern boundary this site makes for easy walking and is within short distances to some of the best cellar doors in the Barossa. Kaiser Stuhl National Park is only a short drive away over the lookout at Mengler’s Hill and the Heyson Trail runs through the hill at the Eastern end. Permission may be needed to access other private properties adjoining, however. Wineries close by include Jacob’s Creek Visitors Centre, Rockfords, Grant Burge Cellar Door, St Hugo’s, Charles Melton, Moorooroo Cellar Door or Jacob’s Creek Retreat. Tanunda is only a 5-10 min drive away where a great range of food outlets and a wider range of cellar doors exist. The helpful staff at the Visitor’s Centre in Murray St can assist with answering questions and most services are catered for in the town’s centre. This site’s location lends itself to quite short or long term stays with close access to the fruits of the Barrosa. There are recharge and excellent public facilities at the Visitor Centre and links to Barossa Balloon Adventures if desired. There are no facilities, so campers must be 100% self-contained, taking all waste and rubbish with them when they leave.

Weekend Trip to Harry’s Rockleigh Bush Camp

My husband and I had a lovely visit to Harry’s Rockleigh Bush Camp, just a one night stay to try out a new swag tent. Harry is a great host, welcoming guests with information about the property and facilities. Toilets are available, as well as a camp kitchen. The property is located on a hillside, giving views across the hills, and is a nice quiet place for a recharge away from the city. It was nice to get a visit from the inquisitive hens that live on the property and chat with other campers. Big thanks to Harry for being an excellent host and helping us with a jump start when we needed it! We look forward to camping here again in the future.

We had an amazing weekend at Harry's Bush Camp! It’s a beautiful farm with lots of sweet animals to pet. Anne was the kindest host, very thoughtful and making sure we were comfortable. Her warmth and positive energy truly brighten the place. The amenities were great, with a toilet, hot shower, and a sheltered kitchen equipped with a barbecue. Highly recommend this lovely spot!

A great spot with beautiful views, roaming farm animals, plenty of wildlife and clean, well looked after amenities! Anne was incredibly kind and welcoming - checking in on us each day, helping us with firewood and answering any questions we had. We had such a wonderful time walking around the property, visiting the horses and cooking on the campfire. Well worth a visit, and we will definitely be back!

Amazing views and a great location only 5 minutes from Berri- but still a feeling of isolation. Heaps of wildlife- birds, lizards, fish and occasional visit from the very cute campsite mascot Willow (the dog!). Highly recommended and looking forward to visiting again one day.

Highly recommended! Great, friendly communication, excellent instructions and only 5 minutes from Berri. We have a 12ft hybrid van with high clearance so were able to set up camp right on the bank of the river on the only flat section which was perfect. Bigger, or low clearance vans would need to stay up the top where there is heaps of room. We didn't use the toilet but it's there if you need it. The site is very private and peaceful. Thanks Michelle for having us, can't wait to come back.

Great location with very hospitable host. Very rare for a hip camp to have a toilet, let alone a shower and camp kitchens. Host is very helpful about where to set up based on your needs. Roaming chicken with horses and sheep behind fences.

This was really easy to find, not far from town but still quiet. We arrived in the dark and were able to set up without any problems. Our site had a spot to set up that was relatively flat with a great view of the green hills of the Barossa. We appreciated the set out fire pit and used this each night. We had 2 camper vans and utes and had plenty of room. We would definitely stay again.
