Situated on 100 acres 5km north of Robe town, and a very very short drive (or 2km walk) to beautiful Long Beach, the Robe Camel Farm is in the perfect location. Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar. You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. Book these experiences on the website www.humpalicious.com.au. Robe Camel Farm is a very relaxed environment. We will be carrying on daily jobs such as camel feeding, building, training etc. Guests are welcome to participate in daily farm life if they choose to! Note, we do keep beehives on the property, so if you are badly allergic to bees, please come prepared. Dog friendly but must be well controlled. Campfires not permitted.

The road to the house branches off the main road down a laneway giving a sence of seclusion and escape as the lanewsy runs down a natural reserve witch hosts kookaburras, black cockatoos, kangaroos, wallaby's, ring tail possums and wide variety of bird life nestling amongst the towering cypress and gum trees. It is almost a private drive as Bella Mia is one of only 2 properties on this lane. Cool quiet pine forests are the back drop of this property. Owner of the property Nick is a pilot living in Europe, the property is managed by Kath a very experience holiday accommodation manager who knows what it takes to satisfy a range of guests needs and privacy. Kath lives on property so never far away if need her for anything. The main house on property is listed as a popular holiday accommodation house sleeping 6 guests. The house has access to a shared indoor pool (not heated) and a rustic tennis court. Camp sites for fully self sufficient campers is available in the paddoch area away from the main house. There is access to water tank refilling however no hook ups. 15 mins from Mount Gambier and the home of the famous Blue Lake and many sink holes in the area. 1 hour from the ever popular Coonawarra Wine Region and beaches are 30 - 45 min away. We loved our 2 night stay in an open paddock with views of the ocean in the distance and the vineyards to our right. It was so peaceful we were lucky to have the place to ourselves. Close to Port Lincoln. Directions were clear and easy to find the place. Great communication from host. Highly recommend.

Lovely rural setting amongst established trees with a great view. Peaceful and quite, we had the place to ourselves. The best portaloo and shower set up I have seen and a thoughtful addition for campers who aren't self sufficient or don't want to poo in the van loo. Friendly and helpful hosts, we are lucky Hipcampers to have hosts like these!

Weekend Trip to Parrara View

Absolutely worthwhile making the effort to get to Parrara View. We stayed on the Sugar Gums site. What a fabulous location in a grassy field of aged Sugar Gum trees. Excellent, clean (incredibly clean) amenities, cool little fire pits, flat campsite. Was our favourite ever Hipcamp so thoroughly recommended. Our host was excellent and really informative about their area and happy to have a chat. Short drives to both Port Lincoln and Coffin Bay. Loved our stay at Parrara View.

Due to wind we swapped our stay at Paddock 2 to Shady 2. The spot was private and sheltered from the wind. We also decided to take a tour of the farm, meet the camels and sample some camel milk and ice cream. It was lovely to meet Tara who was very friendly and gave a very interesting tour. We felt very welcomed on the property and were able to take an evening walk and have another look at the camels. Perfect for an off-road self-contained trip.

I love exploring and this camp site had so much exploring that could be done. Saw Kangaroos, Koalas, and Eagles. Heading a little higher up the hill behind the campsite had stunning views through the hills. I would definitely recommend this campsite to others.

We loved our night camping at Chestnut Grove. The site had a flat area for our tent, was easy to drive up to, and spacious. Leigh was really friendly and generously brought us up some firewood on the night. The site was quiet and had great views, would absolutely stay again.

Our kids absolutely LOVED this place and has been a highlight of the past 3 weeks travel. Stayed 2 nights but kids could have stayed longer. We enjoyed the peace and tranquility with no other travellers there so had the place to ourselves. Would recommend paddock 3 as it’s a little further away from the duck pen. We thought the camels would probs stink us out early but they didn’t smell at all. Great place and lovely owners who truly love what they do. 100% recommend.

We love camping at Parrara View. This was our second time visiting and I could easily pop into town for work or to feed out cat. The kids loved playing amongst the trees and the toilets and showers were immaculate! Thanks for having us Kerri, we will be back again soon!
