This site provides you with a large flat, private and secure resting spot for a large group. It also has many options for fishing, boating and access for swimming. Sit on the same banks as the First Peoples of the River Murray and look for clues of their history. This River Murray floodplain was cleared to be a fruit block is slowly being restored back. Now being restored to its former fruitful floodplain glory. Revegetation is underway to provide more shade and restore the site. Site now includes a compostable toilet!We have an amazing, rare spot where you can sit right on the Murray River bank and fish.  Set up a tent within metres of the river's edge or park your caravan/RV within 20 metres. There is space for up to 5 large caravans on the site, but if you book it, you get all that space to yourself. You will have a secluded, quiet spot for you to enjoy with your friends and dog.  The main town is only 2.5km away - a good dog walking distance.    Located on the mighty Murray River, this campsite has a cleared flat fruit block with 200 metres of exclusive Murray River frontage and limited shade.  Murray River National Park is divided into six separate areas and our region features two: the Lyrup Flats, 2,000 hectares along the floodplain on the northern side of the river. It provides wonderful opportunities for birdwatching and fishing. The Lock 4 and Eckert Creek area is a significant waterway that flows through the National Park and provides great canoe adventuring. Pelicans and other water birds, possums and kangaroos are common sights. You will need to be self-contained with your own water supply and camping shower amenities. Pets are welcome. Campfires are permitted when a fire ban is not in place. This campsite offers a good fishing spot for native fish. There are many fantastic places to visit nearby, including the Riverland Wine Centre, 3 km to the National Parks, and 4km to the township of Berri for all your supplies.

We have an amazing, rare spot where you can sit right on the Murray River bank and fish.  Set up a tent within metres of the river's edge or park your caravan/RV within 20 metres. There is space for up to 5 large caravans on the site, but if you book it, you get all that space to yourself. The photos on the advertisement need to be updated Good for fishing and that’s about it (did not catch anything) Not good for swimming with kids or having water craft

Lovely private place to unwind by the river. Managed to get our single axle off road camper nice and close to the river after some back and forth. Hosts are very welcoming and easy to communicate with. Would definitely put on the list to visit again.

Amazing views and a great location only 5 minutes from Berri- but still a feeling of isolation. Heaps of wildlife- birds, lizards, fish and occasional visit from the very cute campsite mascot Willow (the dog!). Highly recommended and looking forward to visiting again one day.

Highly recommended! Great, friendly communication, excellent instructions and only 5 minutes from Berri. We have a 12ft hybrid van with high clearance so were able to set up camp right on the bank of the river on the only flat section which was perfect. Bigger, or low clearance vans would need to stay up the top where there is heaps of room. We didn't use the toilet but it's there if you need it. The site is very private and peaceful. Thanks Michelle for having us, can't wait to come back.

Loved our little getaway at Riverside Camp-site. A great little secluded spot, with regular visits from the very friendly family dog! Would highly recommend for those wanting a peaceful getaway.

The camp was great there is a large flat area for big tents and caravans. There are great areas right on the river that aren't 100% flat. The camp was dog friendly. Fishing is a little difficult as there are a lot of snags but doable. The toilet is a nice touch. Its effective a large compost bin with a nice seat and saw dust to reduce smell. There were no issues using it and it was appreciated. The camp has great signage making it a breeze to find the spots for camp. There is a great campfire area on the river recommend purchasing the firewood from the host. The only thing to note is the area can get dusty with high winds. I highly recommend this camp is very close to Berri and Renmark with all the modern conveniences.

We booked at the last minute as we were passing through and the site was perfect. Close to Berri and easy to find. Right by the river and secluded. Very picturesque. It would be a lovely spot to stay for a few days.

Such a nice and peaceful spot. Beautiful surroundings and the perfect place to spend time by yourself or with family. Michelle, the owner, was really friendly and helpful, she gave me tips on good fishing spots and even offered the rowboat, which made the trip even better. It was also a bonus that her dog came by to visit every day. Highly recommended.

Very comfortable campsite, close to the riverbank. No one else around with the occasional visit from their family dog Willow. 10 mins from Berri makes it very convenient. Would definitely recommend.

This camp site is easy to find. Michelle is a really lovely host. There is a site that is level for caravans. The camp is secluded and very quiet. There is a lot of birdlife and the views of the stars, sunset and river are all fantastic. What more could you ask for if you are looking to get away from it all, or for a great place to catch your breath if you are on a long trip.

Beautiful easy spot. Perfect for us to set up the double swag by the water, and get in and out of town easily for dinner (as we'd run out of groceries by this point in our trip). So scenic with an incredible sunset, and loved having the no-motor rowboat. Composting toilet was a nice addition.

The location is gorgeous. You have both river sunrise and river sunset views, incredible!! It’s peaceful, relaxing and Michelle and family are so welcoming. Optional eggs and firewood a definite inclusion…so easy. Thanks so much Michelle, your property was exactly what we needed.

Beautiful and very private spot on the Murray river. Cosy campfire setting to watch the world go by on the river. Super friendly host and resident pooch. Composting toilet not as scary as it seemed.

Site was beautiful! Nice big flat area up top for camping, could fit down by the river depending on your setup. Toilet was very unique but absolutely did its job, no complaints! We’d go back for sure.

This is a wonderful place to stay. The Host goes out of the way to make your stay memorable. We fished, cooked and relaxed😊. Easy access to the property to fish or kayak. We love the safe environment and the ever present visits from Willow (site pet dog). This was our 4th visit and we will be back!😃

Easily one of the best value for money hipcamp sites we’ve seen. It is absolute waterfront with multiple entry points to the water directly from the lower part of the campsite. Stunning sunsets and sunrises. The opposite river bank is all just bush which is beautiful. Because of the placement of the trees around the lower site it does feel private and feels like you have your very own piece of the riverbank. We got the canoe as an extra and really enjoyed paddling around. There aren’t many level spots down on the river to pitch a tent, but we managed to get a small one right beside the water - there’s wasn’t any grass though so be prepared to pitch on dirt. We did hear quite lot of noises like pumps and the nearby road even at night so it’s not super quiet, but still felt peaceful. Lots of birds, Australian darters, blue bonnet parrots and multiple whistling kite nests around. I did have to look twice at the toilet because I hadn’t seen one like it before, but it does seem to do the job. As others have said, Michelle was lovely when booking extras and asking questions. I do recommend!

As a solo camper I felt perfectly secure. Plenty of shade, beautiful scenery and birds to watch. Had my own loo, but compost toilet set up looked great and clean. Easy to find camp. Perfect spot for a peaceful getaway. Thanks Michelle.
