We live in a beautiful hidden valley on 30 acres, We're joined by friendly dogs, horses, alpacas, rabbits, guinea pigs, 2 lovely Camels, 2 cheeky pigs, Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway). Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have 2 toilets available but please BYO toilet paper. Sorry, no pets. Please note that Pymbroke is in the Murraylands zone & fire danger season starts early. 1st November 2025.

The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. The property is a private farm with 2 dams and views extending across the valley. There are a number of suitable locations to for bush camping. Site access is limited to dry weather and vehicles with single axle camper trailer or tent. Vehicles with higher ground clearance are more suitable. The River Upstream is the flattest of the campgrounds if you require a completely level site for your vehicle. A number of alpacas and sheep share the camp grounds. Sites suit bush camping with limited amenities. Potable water is available upon request but there are no toilets or services on site. There are a number of great wineries in the area all with excellent food and produce you can enjoy. Great spot for a quick stay. Toilet was immaculately clean, view was gorgeous. Instructions to get to camp very clear. We couldn't find a number 4 on any trees so went a little past 3 and set up - we were the only campers. There is a bee hive active on one of the trees at the moment, but we were far enough away not to be bothered. Absolutely stunning night time sky.

We had a lovely stay at Toondilla 1. Beautiful spot, a wonderful nature getaway. The instructions were very helpful and accurate, the 2 sites are well maintained and far enough apart to ensure peace and privacy. There was plenty of level space for the set up of our camper trailer and annexe. Steve was a very welcoming host and provided great suggestions for exploring the surrounding area. We walked to the bakery for a coffee and pastry each day and enjoyed a meal from the hotel one evening. Would definitely recommend as a lovely camping spot and keen for another visit in the future.

Weekend Trip to Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)

We had amazing experiences here on Sam and Chris' Noorla Farm : ) This was my first ever camp with my 2 boys and we were made to feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Sam and Chris gave us the right advice and support to get us going as well as a lovely gift of eggs, homemade biscuits and sweets. We stayed at the Laneway and it was beautiful scenery and there was ever present nature including many species of bird calls that we awoke to in the morning, as well as the possums we spotted over night. There was also a kookaburra only a few meters from the tent, waiting in the morning. Sam and Chris very kindly helped us to pack up our new tent that we were struggling with. Quite unbelievable and unexpected. We were so lucky. And to totally cap it off we were treated to meeting all their animals, and my teenage boys got to gain many new experiences from patting camels to holding guinea pigs and collecting eggs. Chris had a great sense of humour when showing us around and was really present and giving of his time. Thank you so much Sam and Chris. We look forward to coming back again!

I had the best quick night away in Gurra Gurra! The site was peaceful, well shaded in the heat and secluded from other campers. My Jimny parked up right by the river where my dog and I spent the afternoon soaking in the river breeze! An amazing stay and a great host.

1 night at Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)

We had an amazing time at Noorla Farm. Sam was incredibly kind to let us know that our original spot might be unsafe after the heavy rain, so we opted for the Laneway spot instead. We loved being so close to the farm animals, especially the horses. Sam and his wife even showed us around and let us feed them, which was definitely the highlight of our stay. We can definitely feel the love and care they have for their babies. Thank you for the wonderful memories, we’ll definitely be back

We had a wonderful time staying at Sam and Chris’s farm. We loved the Laneway. Fantastic shade with the lovely creek. It overlooked the cows. Sam and Chris introduced us to all their animals. We met the camels, cows, Guinea pigs, rabbits, chickens and more. They were lovely to chat with and we will be back. We really appreciated the welcome basket and the voucher took us to the nearby winery of K1 wines. There are lots of beautiful places to visit nearby. This was a big family gathering for us and we made fantastic memories from it thanks to their hospitality.
