We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. Access to campsites is Via Brown Road, not Caroline Road. Please see directions once booking is made.
We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums.
Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat!
We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach.
One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents.
Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

Situated on 100 acres 5km north of Robe town, and a very very short drive (or 2km walk) to beautiful Long Beach, the Robe Camel Farm is in the perfect location.
Camper trailers, rooftop tents, and small campervans are suited to the Shady 1 and Shady 2 sites. These two sites are nestled amongst beautiful gums. Caravans and large motorhomes are suited to The Paddock site. The Paddock is an open site near the tourist shop. Perfect for larger set ups and great for solar.
You are free to watch the camels in the paddock from behind the fenceline. If you are after a more up and personal experience with the beautiful beasts, you can book a Morning Milking Tour or a Camel Safari in our electric buggy. Book these experiences on the website www.humpalicious.com.au.
Robe Camel Farm is a very relaxed environment. We will be carrying on daily jobs such as camel feeding, building, training etc. Guests are welcome to participate in daily farm life if they choose to!

Welcome to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, a privately-owned conservancy focused on providing habitat for native animals to live in the wild. Since 1997 the Sanctuary has worked to conserve and protect the natural resources within its boundaries, especially the native Australian flora and fauna.
We have a BEACH camp site available that offer spectacular ocean views of the wild south coast. Campers will have access to a pit toilet during their stay. There is a 2 night maximum stay.
You will find plenty of sightseeing opportunities and interesting places to visit within easy reach of Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Although much of the western end of Kangaroo Island was severely impacted by the January 2020 bushfires, the uniquely Australian story of rebirth and regeneration after fire is compelling.
Much of the western end of Kangaroo Island is covered in parks and reserves and it is often referred to as the natural end of the Island. You will find large areas of pristine natural bushland, numerous native wildlife, spectacular, rugged coastal cliffs and beautiful seascapes and beaches. Throughout the wilderness areas you will also discover old buildings and ruins which have been preserved because of their historical role in the development of the island. And if that is not enough to hold your interest, you can swim in the bay, fish from a sandy beach, dive some ship wrecks, surf some big waves, go sand boarding or go bush walking, Whatever your interest, you will find plenty of things to do on your next holiday at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.

(Bill), Ron, and Betsy.Millie died in 1965 and Ron continued living at Ballara until his death in 1988.Having never married and with no children of his own, Ron left the house and contents to his 10 nieces and nephews.After the family furniture was divided, Bill bought the house and placed it in the names of his three daughters.Carli and Penny were both able to enjoy some time living in the family home. Ballara still remains in the Baker family and is currently being cared for by Bill’s youngest daughter, Steph.

We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums.

Welcome to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, a privately-owned conservancy focused on providing habitat for native animals to live in the wild. Since 1997 the Sanctuary has worked to conserve and protect the natural resources within its boundaries, especially the native Australian flora and fauna.
We have a BEACH camp site available that offer spectacular ocean views of the wild south coast. Campers will have access to a pit toilet during their stay. There is a 2 night maximum stay.
You will find plenty of sightseeing opportunities and interesting places to visit within easy reach of Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary. Although much of the western end of Kangaroo Island was severely impacted by the January 2020 bushfires, the uniquely Australian story of rebirth and regeneration after fire is compelling.
Much of the western end of Kangaroo Island is covered in parks and reserves and it is often referred to as the natural end of the Island. You will find large areas of pristine natural bushland, numerous native wildlife, spectacular, rugged coastal cliffs and beautiful seascapes and beaches. Throughout the wilderness areas you will also discover old buildings and ruins which have been preserved because of their historical role in the development of the island. And if that is not enough to hold your interest, you can swim in the bay, fish from a sandy beach, dive some ship wrecks, surf some big waves, go sand boarding or go bush walking, Whatever your interest, you will find plenty of things to do on your next holiday at the Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary.

A brief history of Ballara...Ballara is the 100-year-old family home built for William and Emilia (Millie) Baker & their five children. Built in 1910, it is understood Millie would not come to Warooka until the house was finished and furnished! Wise woman!William Baker came to Warooka as a young boy in 1884 with his mother, sister and 2 brothers, after the sudden death of his father.In the early 1900s, Will and his brother Alf became storekeepers, trading as Baker Bros. and running 2 stores in Warooka. Will, Alf and younger brother, Tom, also went on to become farmers.William met Millie when she came from Ballarat to visit her sister who lived at Warooka. Millie named her new home 'Ballara' in memory of her home town.A feature of the house is its ornate ceilings, and story has it that visitors came from afar especially to view them.William ran a wheat agency from an office on the front verandah and was also a contact for World War 1 recruitment.In 1927, William sadly died at only 50 years of age, leaving Millie on her own with their 5 children Doreen, Dulcie, William jr. (Bill), Ron, and Betsy.Millie died in 1965 and Ron continued living at Ballara until his death in 1988.Having never married and with no children of his own, Ron left the house and contents to his 10 nieces and nephews.After the family furniture was divided, Bill bought the house and placed it in the names of his three daughters.Carli and Penny were both able to enjoy some time living in the family home. Ballara still remains in the Baker family and is currently being cared for by Bill’s youngest daughter, Steph.

A very peaceful place to stay.
Beautiful views over the Ocean, and at night the sound of the Ocean is very relaxing.
A few good walking trails around.
Good facilities.
Uneven ground, and a number of slopes, so could be challenging if you have mobility issues.

Natasha was so hospitable. We were welcomed up to feed the goats and meet the other animals. Natasha was so happy to tell us all about them all! Our camp space was great with lots of space. The kids really enjoyed running around the paddock! Thanks for having us!

A very relaxed and well-maintained park with a simple, easy layout. The lawn sites are spacious and there’s plenty of room to unwind. Close enough to Robe for convenience, yet far enough out to enjoy the peace and quiet.

Scenic views were amazing too bad for the wind. Plenty of room on the site with hay bales to provide wind protection. We originally planned to stay only for one night but ended up staying 2. Great central spot to use as a base to visit surrounding areas. Deb was very accommodating.

Wow! We absolutely were blown away by this hipcamp. Gorgeous views, clean and serene.
We have a 23 ft van which isn’t always easy to navigate to what feels like remote places and this did the trick.
Tim was incredibly friendly, signage/directions were clear and the grounds were well kept. We will certainly be back especially with its proximity to Adelaide.

A perfect bush getaway ! Well worth the drive in. Unfortunately the weather turned but we were cozy and sheltered in the camp kitchen. The boys took advantage of the bucket showers. Very querky and unique. Thankyou for sharing

Lovely and quiet site, not far from Victor harbor. Kitchen is good, toilets and showers are extremely clean and nice. Needed a bit of help with the power , the owner was there in less then 10. Super nice !

Beautiful quiet paddock. Sunrise and sunset 👌 Good sized sites each with a campfire. Sites separated by hay bales which offer privacy. Close to all Mt Gambier attractions. The site could have done with a mow and there were quite afew Jack jumper ants around. Bin onsite for cans only. The sign for Pine Ridge has fallen off the gate so just go slow otherwise you will miss the entry like us!

Such a special place to stay. The sites are big and beautifully spaced with great privacy, and the hay bales make it feel really thoughtful and peaceful. There was loads of room for the kids to ride their bikes and just be kids. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, inviting our kids up to feed the goats and cuddle the rabbits, which was a real highlight for them. It’s also a great base, with plenty to see and do nearby and everything close by. We loved our time here so much that we extended our stay. Truly grateful for the experience.

Loved our little two night stay at pine Ridge ❤️ perfect location for exploring umpherston sink-hole and the other tourist attractions. Natasha and her family were exceptionally welcoming but also left us to ourselves. Our last day Natasha asked if we'd like to go feed her farm animals which my kids loved 😍

Fantastic views, large site, great host in Deborah, she provided us with a map and information about the area, suggested places to see and dinning options. The water views and sunrises were fantastic. I would highly recommend this camp to anyone who enjoys magic views and peace and tranquility.
