Great potential to he had
The idea of camping on a camel farm is such a fun and unique concept, and it was something I was really excited to share with my children. They loved being able to pat the camels and meet the donkey, which was definitely a highlight of our stay.
That said, I did feel a little disappointed overall. At $70 per night for an unpowered site, it felt quite expensive for what was offered. I think the experience could be greatly enhanced by allowing campers to help feed the camels or donkey — that would make it feel more interactive and memorable, especially for families.
It would also be great to have generators banned, as the campers next to us ran theirs all night, which really took away from the peaceful farm atmosphere. Unfortunately, we also scratched our van on arrival, as the directions weren’t very clear — we weren’t told to enter via the main gate for paddock campers, and instead were looking for “Shady 1” and “Shady 2” signs in a fairly tight, bushy area.
Overall, there’s a lot of potential here, and with a few improvements this could be a really special stay.
