The Scrub Campsite located in remnant vegetation (14 minutes from Victor Harbor ) is a rustic self check in campsite as the owner does not reside near the campsite.
The Scrub Campsite has evolved to offer adults-only camping experience. In response to strong demand for child-free accommodation, the campsite now operates exclusively as an 18+ campsite ideal for couples, solo travellers, and small groups seeking a tranquil and relaxing environment.
Campers choose their site in the designated camp spots. Sites are not allocated unless by prior arrangement.
A communal camp kitchen, water tanks and compost toilet is available for campers use. You can connect your gas bottle to a Kick Ass hot water shower. Fire pits are located at each site. Campers will be advised of fire bans by signage on the front gate. Campers are not permitted on high fire danger days.
Wood can be purchased from the self service white ibc container for $20 for a wheel barrow load.
Please adhere to the camp rules which are posted at each campsite.
The campsite is located on the Heysen Trail and close to many Lower Fleurieu Peninsula beaches and attractions. The popular Belicious Cafe is a 50 minute walk.
Whole campsite bookings for larger groups can be made by contacting the owner..
We ask that campers respect all other campers, the land that they are camping on and follow the campers motto - Leave nothing but your footprints.

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail.
The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy!
There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes.
Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh.
There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock
and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet.

We have 80 acres of farm, approximately 15 minutes from town. Our campsites are located in a paddock on our farm, perfect for off grid self contained campers. Access to campsites is Via Brown Road, not Caroline Road. Please see directions once booking is made.
We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums.
Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat!
We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach.
One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents.

In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too!
At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away.
We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay!
Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! We may be moving sheep, shearing, crutching, fencing, feeding the farm animals, milking our house goats etc. Even come for a horse ride (further info in 'Extras")!
Well behaved dogs are welcome, but please discuss this with us prior to booking and they must be on a lead at all time.

Welcome to Marron Bush Escape, located in Gosse, in the Western River area (western end, near Flinders Chase National Park) of beautiful Kangaroo Island!
This is a beautiful, remote, rural 250 acre private property, it is home to a number of sheep, features dams that have Marron and boasts the best that nature has to offer. Rest assured, you will not see any neighbours on this property; just picturesque landscapes everywhere you look! It is approximately a 1.5 hour drive from Penneshaw, where you get off the ferry.
We offer powered and unpowered camp sites, as well as a bush, cabin.
Camp fires (small) are allowed when fire restrictions allow. There is a fire pit that can be used when there is no fire ban, with barbecue plate and camp ovens for old-style bush cooking or cooking up your fresh organic Kangaroo Island Marron.
There is a drop toilet at the back and external lights and an external kitchen sink with hot and cold water.
There is one drop dunny and limited rain water (you are welcome to bring your own drinking water if you need extra).
For your convenience, there are recycling and rubbish bins at corner of Snug and Colman’s Rd for all waste disposal.
On half of our property we have sheep and lambs in the paddocks. Bring your camera, and you just might be lucky enough to see little lambs playing and even being born. We may also be shearing and invite you to see how this is done. The other half of the property is untouched natural scrub with grass and trees 12 foot tall. There are koalas, eagles, kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas and lots of other native animals and a creek with small waterfalls. In winter time the ground can be boggy, so a 4WD is desirable and will allow you to explore further.
From the cabin, make your way down past the dams and go through the shiny gate at the bottom of the hill (please close the gate behind you). Here, you'll discover 125 acres of untouched Kangaroo Island wilderness with walking trails to explore. Keep an eye out for koalas, kangaroos, wedge-tail eagles, wallabies, large grass trees etc
We also have two small lakes that you can have a picnic by or drop some Marron nets in for a fresh feed. There are weighing scales provided at the shed so you can pay for them. This is on an honesty system- so please do the right thing, as we have already been burnt from the fires. You must contact me if you wish to fish for marron prior to catching any.
There are no shops or restaurants close by (stock up before arriving!) and you will need to travel down dirt roads but you will really have the opportunity to get off the grid, get back to nature and make memories in the stunning, untouched, Kangaroo Island wilderness!

We would love to share the Winter Wetlands Sanctuary in Kuitpo with you.
The little sanctuary has been specifically designed to accommodate Campervans and Self-driven motorhomes WITH ON-BOARD TOILETING & GREYWATER TANK.
Please understand that our business model licence and insurance policy has stringent conditions attached to it.
*WE ARE ONLY ABLE TO ACCEPT SELF-DRIVEN CAMPERVANS/MOTORHOMES THAT ARE 7.5m OR LESS IN LENGTH*
They must be equipped with their own toilet facilities and greywater reservoir due to governmental zoning regulations. Do NOT book unless you have your own toileting amenities and grey water tank. No human waste policy applies. If you have to cancel your booking because you do not meet these requirements, you will NOT be refunded. It is out of our hands.

Forest Gate B&B has been receiving guests on the property for nearly 40 years and the Winter Wetlands is a small private sanctuary that we share with our guests who enjoy the countryside and the open air.
We run a small farm in the Adelaide Hills, and over the past 10 years, have been developing this little safe haven in the Southern corner of our property. We are trying to encourage the proliferation of local wildlife that everyone can enjoy both now and in the future.
The Winter Wetlands is NOT a 'caravan park'. It is a small, private, sanctuary, which is at it's best in the cold wet Winter months when the pond/ dam comes to life. Guests can kick back around the campfire overlooking the dam, as they listen to the crickets and frogs in the evenings. There is a resident Western Grey kangaroo, many possums (both ring-tail and brush-tail), native burrowing rats, koalas and an occasional wandering echidna (if you are lucky enough to see one). There's a plethora of birdlife, including favourites such as blue wrens, fairy wrens, and a resident family of white-winged choughs.
The Sanctuary caters for a maximum of seven bookings (2 guests per booking) at any one time. Often, you will have the Sanctuary all to yourselves. There are many little picnic spots.
We request that guests leave no sign of visitation, and take all waste with them.
CAMPERVAN SITES:
As stated previously, regulations only allow the following:

*NO CARAVANS, TRAILERS, OR TENTS.*
We have 7 independent, unpowered, sites that are suited for Class A or B campervans or motorhomes ONLY.
ACCESS:
There is easy, main road access into the 'Winter Wetlands Sanctuary' from Brookman road. GPS: -35.21694, 138.6970.
There is a clearly marked, one-way, stone road that leads to all available sites. Look for the gateway on Brookman Road, bordered by two giant gum-trees (with reflectors on them) and two white wooden rails. Next to the gate, you will read the notice of Conditions of Entry.
COMMUNAL AREAS:
The communal shelter shed, picnic areas, and two communal camp fires offer a variety of places to relax and watch the local birds enjoy the area.
NEARBY FEATURES include:
- Directly across the road from the Heysen Trail in the beautiful Kuitpo Forest.
- 3-4 minutes to exceptional SA wineries including K1 (4 mins down the road), and Perrini (in the nearby township of Meadows) .
- Near Echunga Goldfields (Jupiter creek) (20 km away), and Prospect Hill (4 km away) for fossicking.
- Kuipto Forest TreeClimb is only 2 km up the road and has thousands of visitors per annum.
- Easy access to tourist townships of McLaren Vale (15 mins), Hahndorf (25 mins), Mt Barker (25 mins) and Willunga, which is well known for its Saturday Morning Market (15 mins).
- Facilities such as Pharmacy, Medical clinic, Petrol Station, Hotel, and Bakery can be found in Meadows, only 5 mins away.
The Winter Wetlands are fully fenced ensuring privacy.
In the interest of the wellbeing of local wild life, nearby stock, and neighbours, we ask that you do not play loud music at night.
WASTE:
NO HUMAN WASTE.
There is a Waste Dump Point in Meadows (6 km away) near the footy oval (Brooks street rec. ground, GPS: -35.180278, 138.76).
Forest Gate is a working farm. There are regularly livestock in the paddocks adjacent to the Winter Wetlands. There is also an open dam and a communal fireplace in the Winter Wetlands.
Due to our insurance policy, we can not allow children or pets. Therefore, stays in the Winter Wetlands are only available to adults.

What a fantastic spot. So private, quiet and peaceful. Large and flat space with large and small fire pits and plenty of kindling and dry wood for fire. We went exploring hoping to see wombats but had no luck although there an heaps of burrows. We were happy to see a Shingleback, kangaroos and a Tawny Frogmouth. We had a full moon which was amazing and the stars were beautiful too. Communication and instructions from the hosts were perfect. We highly recommend and would love to come back again.

Georgie is a fantastic host, so friendly and accommodating. The camp ground was level and peaceful. Natural camp firepit, and bonus picnic table was very convenient. Feeding the farm animals (sheep and a lama) was a highlight, being woken up by roosters and kookaburras added to the experience.

Bez bush block is a perfect campsite surrounded by mallee scrub with an open flat area to set up your caravan or tents. Very private and peaceful spot to relax without hearing or seeing other people. Lovely open paddock space, easy to access. Kid friendly. Owner took us to feed their miniature goats. We stayed two nights, close to town for all the things but so quiet at night. No road noise. Kangaroos in the morning. Highly recommend.

Leanne is the best, informative and super friendly Hostess we have ever encountered in 5 years of touring.
Leanne has tours of wildlife, sandhills etc. If you require them
We had 3 great days there, it has a flushing toilet, non potable water and a private place for our 2 Puppies to run around.
Clear ground for 100 metres all around, no snakes, if you have kids or pets
Plenty of dead wood for the firepit.
The road in and out is accessible and acceptable.
This is the first time we have used Hi Camps.
We will definitely use again.
We will definitely return in the next 12 months

A gorgeous, flat grassy ground with the creeks running water and birds calling to listen to. Toilets are a ling drop but compostablez so not smelly, and in pretty clean condition. However would recommend your own toilet paper as not much available if a few people were to have been there (1 roll spare and 6 people camping). The kayak on the river is also missing the silicone plug so it actually sinks! Would've been a hit otherwise. Regardless, we loved the property and I think Steve has done a great job providing basic amenities and knick knacks. There's an option to purchase firewood, meat and hold baby lambs in the springtime - have already recommended to 4 friends who loved the view through the social media lens.

We absolutely loved our stay in Tarlee! We spent a few peaceful days in a beautiful, secluded spot that was perfect for switching off and relaxing. The toilet facilities were close by and very well maintained.
We purchased firewood during our stay, and Alison was kind enough to stop by and make sure we had enough for our second night, which was such a thoughtful touch.
We'll definitely be aiming to come back and would happily recommend staying here to others!
