Probably one of my favourite campsites that I've found so far! Nice private little lots, random equipment around to mess around with, (bikes and such) the toilet is nightmarish but I had my own so no biggie! I'll be back 100%

We enjoyed our stay overall, particularly the spacious campsites and the natural bush setting. Waking up to birdsong and the occasional morning call from the neighbouring cows added to the peaceful country atmosphere. The location is also a great base for exploring the Fleurieu Peninsula and its nearby towns. The friendly welcome from the camp host was much appreciated and made us feel at home.
There are a few areas that could make the experience even better. After spending a month travelling, we felt the nightly rate was on the high side for the facilities provided, and around $20 per night would have represented better value.
The camp kitchen appeared to be a collection of mismatched items rather than a purpose-built communal space, so it wasn't somewhere we felt inclined to cook or spend time. Although the campsites are generously sized, the plastic tables and chairs at each site seemed unnecessary, as most campers travel with their own furniture. Removing them would also enhance the natural look of the campground.
The composting toilet was very basic and appeared to consist of a wheelie bin with sawdust, which may not meet everyone's expectations. With some investment in tidying up the communal areas, upgrading the toilet facilities, and perhaps adding a communal fire pit, this campground could offer a much stronger experience and better justify its current pricing.

Tent camping at The Scrub Campsite was a blast. Went with a group of friends who aren't really scrub campers but everyone still had a great time. Loved the wildlife around as well as the cows and alpacas we could say hi to over the fence. The camp kitchen was well organised and very useful for washing dishes, the campsites were clean and set out well each with their own fire pit and the compost toilet was well-kept. There was plenty to see and do in the area such as hiking to Belicious cafe, seeing hindmarsh falls or exploring the property. Looking for a camping experience that's not just a caravan park but also not your crew alone in the bush, this place was a perfect escape.

Great bush campsite - we found a cute secluded spot and enjoyed walking along the Heyson trail amongst glorious gums. Directions were clear, the compost toilet was clean and easy to use. The only thing we were unsure of was the adults only designation - many sites had swings and it is clearly kid friendly - a good thing in our estimation.

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here, we loved the amenities with a highlight being firewood available to purchase !!! great during the colder months. the campsite locations are all great depending on your needs and the walk to Cafe Belicious was a great adventure. also got to see so many shooting stars!!! ✨very homey rustic vibes that made us feel like we were in a community with many memories left behind, will definitely be back!

Fantastic campsite. All the sites are well laid out and seemingly accommodate every style of family and set up.
Each site was very well set up to be private enough but with the accessibility to the well stocked camp kitchen and communal area. Firewood was readily accessible and simple payment method- love the honesty approach too and thankful in and ever changing world! Humanity reigns and specifically at the harmonious Scrub campsite
Beautiful countryside and some amazing birds and the beautiful gums all over.
Huge fan. Will be back soon for sure.
The hosts Alison and Mark are friendly and responsive, all round a beautiful time in the stunning Inman valley

Great campsite! Lots of space, swings for the kids, and all the facilities you need (tables, chairs, firepit, kitchen). Rainwater for drinking. The only downside was there were two very large groups of guys who were very loud into the night.

We had a beautiful stay at The Scrub! It began with a bit of rain, but the weather quickly turned around and cleared up perfectly. The warm bonfire was the highlight of our nights—ideal for camp cooking and keeping cozy. We even made friends with a local possum and had some friendly cows come over to say hello! To top it all off, the clear night skies treated us to some incredible shooting stars. It's a wonderful, peaceful spot with great hosts. We highly recommend it and can't wait to come back!

We took our camp trailer to this campsite and we had such a lovely time. The spot is absolutely gorgeous, it’s super kid friendly, and our host was very lovely. 100% would camp here again.

Yeah, not my thing as a solo middle aged camper. Better for families. Was a bit pressed at Mypolonga for a place to overnight. In reality there are many other camps. Inman Valley is cool tho

Such a beautiful place to camp. The bird life was incredible. I camped in site 2 and it was nicely tucked away and felt private.
The camp facilities were great and everything was well signed and organised. It really felt like a lot of care was put in.
I camped as a solo female camper and felt really safe.
Thanks so much to the owners for providing this site for people to use. It was a lovely, relaxing night and I'll definitely be visiting again.

Unfortunately only got to stay for one night and wish we had more time here, such a cool, free / untouched space where you feel so far away from the hustle n bustle.
So quiet and peaceful, would go back tomorrow.

Nice spot. Quiet and lots of different spots for different needs. Shed filled with leaves and sticks for kindling and firewood was easy to purchase on-site as well as fire pits in each campsite. There’s some tables and chairs around that you can use if you need some. I was a bit nervous driving onto the campsite as it is all dirt and a bit uneven. But the owner came down in a small car and had no trouble. The view of the night sky made it all worth it though

I really enjoyed camping at The Scrub Campsite. The communication with the owner was clear, so it was easy to find and the is good signage as well.
We had a tent and, although we only spent one night there, we had a great time.
I loved that we could pick out our own site. There are some closer to the communal kitchen area, and others further, tucked away. They are all tidy with trees and bushes and a clearing for the tent and the car to park.
There is a firepit, table and chairs with every site.
We took our own wood (you can also buy some there), had a nice fire going and did some campfire cooking.
There is a lot to do for the kids as well if you go with the family.
Waking up to the birds and sunshine was awesome.
Definitely would go back and recommend it to others.

Lovely camp ground. Lots of wildlife. We saw an echidna, lots of blue fairy wrens, a possum and lots of birds. We stayed at Dam site 1 which was fairly big. A little close to neighbours but not too bad. Marc and Alison have lots of facilities for campers but it is rustic. We had an enjoyable and relaxing stay.

The campsite is big, well spaced out between camp sites and would suit large group bookings. Marc was extremely attentive and checked in regularly to ensure we had everything we needed and were happy little campers!
There is a range of bikes, go-karts, a basketball hoop and little putting green for the kids. Lots of hills within the compound for kids to ride freely and safely. At the back of the property is a short walk through to the Heysen Trail which is a fun ride for the kids. We were fortunate to see three Echidnas on our ride which was really special for kids and adults alike. The trail is on a road but we only had one Ute pass from a neighbouring farm who stopped to have a chat and invited us to stop by his property so the kids could see the cows and horses.
Overall, would highly recommend - thanks Marc and Alison for your hospitality and sharing your beautiful slice of paradise with us 🩷

A billion stars wouldn't be enough! We originally booked for three nights and loved it so much we couldn't bring ourselves to leave until day seven. This place is the ultimate escape.
The heart of the park is the community kitchen—it’s fully stocked with BBQs, gas, and everything you need for a proper cook-up, plus an incredible stash of toys and games that kept the whole family entertained. Even the practical side of things, like the clever compost toilets and showers, are clearly designed with a lot of care.
The sites are perfectly spaced; you can stay near the hub or tuck yourself away for total privacy. Most importantly, the host is a wonderful, genuine person who clearly pours their heart into this park. If you're looking for firelight, serenity, and a sky full of stars, this is it.
