The host had the fire going for us when we got there and was very welcoming. We were greeted by the resident mum and Joey kangaroo. And the possums kept us entertained in the evening. Camp site was level and grassy. Award winning bench seat!

Thank you Sam for making our stay at Noorla so enjoyable. There were 8 of staying 2 camping, 4 in vans and we were staying in the Studio. From the moment we arrived Noorla felt warm and inviting. The studio was well equipped with a full kitchen and lots of goodies to enjoy including fresh bread, cereals and eggs. We were surrounded by livestock and especially enjoyed feeding the camels. We highly recommend this stay. Thanks Sam

Very quiet and peaceful spot. We had the place to ourselves most of the time as camp 2 wasn't used much. Nice walk to the bakery and op shop (thanks for the heads up Steve) and a walk back up the hill to walk it off. Very pleasant couple of days.

Weekend Trip to Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)

Sam and Chris were super laid back and friendly hosts who graciously showed us around their farm feeding their beautiful animals. The camels being standout characters :D My boy was overjoyed with the experience and Chris was super patient and keen to involve him at every opportunity. The campsite was beautiful and quiet overlooking the Horses and Alpacas. Sam was extra flexible with some last minute booking changes and left us a hamper of cookies, eggs and chocolates! Just a cracker of a place to camp! Thanks so much!

Had a great time at Edgehill Farm Stays. Hosts were very helpful with directing us to out sites and pointing out nearby points of interest. Long drop toilet clean and option of well fitted out shelters (with couches and board games) if the weather was less than ideal! Definitely recommend and plan to return!

We loved the beautiful Burra Creek gums, especially as we had them all to ourselves. The birds were singing and the campfire was awesome! Plenty of wombat holes to see, although we didn't see any evidence of recent wombat activity. We did see roos and a couple of emus though, which was lovely, and the open night sky in the outback is always such a delight. A wonderful place to get away and soak up the natural beauty of South Australia's mid-north.

Welcome to your dream destination!! We have two different locations available in Kangaroo Island with some options of sites in each. Below you can see details for our Farm stays or Emu Bay Hideaway camp spots. Check below to see what sites are currently open. Emu Bay Hideaway has 30 hectares of peace, mainly vegetated with Kangaroo Island Narrow-leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus cneorifolia, a nationally-protected ecological community). Kangaroos and wallabies are in abundance. It has a wonderful feeling of remoteness and seclusion yet is so close to iconic Emu Bay. Those with 4WD may choose sites overlooking Shoal Bay towards Kingscote. Alternatively, you may set up camp anywhere on the property. There is even one under-cover position with a concrete floor for those concerned about the weather. There are no amenities so guests need to be 100% self-sufficient (including BYO drinking water and toilet) and leave no trace. It is a wild block and only five minutes from the iconic Emu Bay, where the white sandy beach runs for 4kms, most of which is backed by 10 to 20-meter-high dunes. It is one of the best beaches on the island with crystal-clear water. Check with me before lighting a campfire - this depends on the season and risk. Dogs are permitted if well controlled (register visiting dogs with local council). IMPORTANT: I have very limited access to the Internet, only periodically every few days, if that, therefore, I may take some time to respond to inquiries. In every town you will discover many historical facts and buildings, machines etc. We even have histroy right here on our property!-ruins of an old school. Oh, do I hear you love taking your horse out for trail rides? Well, here's the perfect place for that too! At the campsite - approx 2km away from the farmhouse - you have the privilege of being surrounded by natural scrublands and habitats on the plains. See our mallee, acacias, sugar woods, grevilleas, honeyeaters, wrens, finches, kangaroos, emus & more. And don't forget the stars!! Our night sky is amazing due to very low light interference. At times, wake up to the sounds of sheep bleating and drinking from the trough a few hundred meters away. We have a central campfire area for each site and a double sink connected to river water for washing up and a large prep area on sites 1 & 2. Also on site 1 & 2, just a short walk from the camp fire is an outdoor flushing toilet with hand basin-a luxury for a station stay! Often there are things happening on the farm. Feel welcome to ask if there is anything you can be a part of to add to your holiday experience! The Scrub Campsite - Inman Valley

Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top caravans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. All bookings will be cancelled if a severe or catastophic fire is forecast by the weather bureau. Campers can claim a refund from Hipcamp A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. (Keen Road entrance) Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 10pm. Noisy campers has been my biggest complaint so please respect others and adhere to the policy. Children must be supervised at all times. Please note that a fenced off dam is located near the campsite and is out of bounds to all children unless supervised by an adult. Rubbish must be removed by all campers as no bins are available. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (NO PUBLIC AMMENITIES AVAILABLE) I can offer Power (subject to availability) to 6/8 sites. Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely. Bookings can be made via Hipcamp.com and more information via WikiCamp.com

We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week. Tarlee Hotel has the best meals as well. Important Information to know before All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead. Generators are allowed on the unpowered sites, please respect other campers with turning them off by 10 pm at the latest. No chainsaws on property. Cockatoo Valley Tiny Vacations

This 20 acre working property is dedicated to our horses, dogs, birds and relaxing! You are welcome to wander into the big paddock and get a close up view of the system that services the property. It is also through this gate you go to access the walking trails and continue on to explore the scrub area where many native birds come and go including kookaburras. The line of trees planted in the gully area are dedicated koala forage trees so also wander down there and have a look and see if you can spot one. Your relaxed property walk will take you past paddocked sheep (they may run up to you if they think you have something for them to eat. Cut apples or carrots into pieces for them ) Rams and Whethers are together in their own paddock, alpacas and Bobby are in with the Ewes and any lambs at the time protecting them from predators in another paddock. There are horses, Dallas the mule (please do not enter their paddocks) , wild ducks at the dam, as well as our ducks and geese if they are out of their enclosure that day. There are raceways between all paddocks to continue your walk all around the property. Beware of the electric fencing though, it hurts if you touch it! We also have some very friendly chooks and turkeys that LOVE to say hello and be hand fed chopped up pieces of apple, carrot, grapes and especially watermelon! Feel free to give them any food scraps you might have. From this area you will see the most spectacular sunsets and be able to have an open campfire during winter season. The Dam It site, Tree line site and Solar paddock site are through another gate on the left hand side opposite site 3/ the paddock with the solar panels in it before you reach our residence, aviaries and toilet. It is also through this gate you go to access the walking trails. Besides sitting back relaxing reading a book with a nice local wine in your hand there are other nearby options to fill your days while staying on our property. Take a short drive down Goldsfield Rd to the Mining Museum and hiking trails. A few KM's towards Williamstown stop in and see the Whispering Wall, built between 1899 and 1903, for its time of construction the dam was deemed a revolutionary engineering marvel. Sounds and voices, even a whisper can be clearly heard at the other end of the dam more then 100 meters away. Continue on through Williamstown and hire a kayak and explore the Warren Reservoir with the resident pelicans. The Warren reservoir was built on the South Para River between 1914 and 1916. Mt Crawford forest is then another short drive on where you can hike, ride and picnic and be guaranteed to see kangaroos in their natural habitat. We are also ideally located being at the gateway to numerous wineries, take your e-bike and explore the towns in the Barossa Valley which are linked with rose lined bitumen trails, explore the shops, cafes and enjoy delectable food, stop in at the Lavender Farm, treat yourself to a scenic flights with Barossa Helicopters or challenge yourself at Barossa Bowland and fantastic themed Dinosaur mini golf just to name even more options! Less than 10 minute drive from our front gate will have you at the lovely town of Lyndoch where the local IGA is a handy stop for those emergency essentials as well as the local bakery, craft shop, pub, post office, Lord of Lyndoch restaurant, Table Cafe Kies winery for starters. 10 Minures the other direction will see you at a new suburb Springwood which has a variety of shops and a Chemist, couple minutes further will have you at the lovely town of Gawler. The visitor center here is also home to local artists to exhibit their works. Like to kayak? Well a short drive will take you to spectacular opportunities to do so. Hire is also available at the site at different times of the year. Love exploring by bike? You are at the heartland of multiple trails you can access too. Local bike hire options are available too. As you can see, you have plenty of options to tailor your stay to suit the type of experience you are after. NO MOTOR BIKES ON PROPERTY PLEASE!!! Burra Creek Camping in Bright is an incredibly beautiful, rustic 5000-acre property, situated 25km North of Robertstown, just over 2 hours from Adelaide. It's suited to those with 4x4 or higher clearance vehicles, and off-road campers/caravans and tents. The camping sites here are very private, and provide large flat areas to set up. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. Important Information to know before booking: Check-in must be before 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please book for the following day instead. Plenty of fallen timber around you are welcome to collect for firewood, however, strictly no chainsaws or cutting down of trees. For your own comfort, you could take your first day of wood, so you’re ready to have a fire once all set up. And strictly no motorbikes, firearms, or rally driving on the property.
