We are located just off the Horrocks Highway on the way to the Clare Valley amongst 42 acres of peppermint gum scrub sheltered by the ranges west of Tarlee. Here you will find lovely spread out camping spots with plenty of space to explore, quiet country roads for walking or riding with spectacular views of the ranges and valley as well as Kangaroos, Kookaburras and more native wildlife. Bush camping at its best. Firewood available to purchase on arrival, $25 for a large container and fire drums are provided. NO CHAINSAWS A beautiful peaceful spot with plenty of space for caravans, campers, tents and swags. We have a flock of sheep, Crystal our horse who loves attention and a pat as well as chooks and eggs to pick up, children love to ride their push bikes down the hills and through the tracks. Our scrub is perfect for outdoor imagination and bundles of energy. Campers have made cubbies in the trees, tyre swings and set up hammocks for lazy afternoons or a swing. Coober Pedy Views is located on the fringe of Coober Pedy and offers a unique outback camping experience for guests who are more adventurous and prefer privacy and a secure location. New Driveway is completed.... In 2019 I was sitting in my Alfresco Area feeling that the beauty offered in front of my property should be shared to people I thought might appreciate a different aspect to Coober. Since that time I have probably had 600+ guests enjoy what Coober Pedy Views has to offer. Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (NO PUBLIC AMMENITIES AVAILABLE) I can offer Power (subject to availability) to 6/8 sites. Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely. Bookings can be made via Hipcamp.com and more information via WikiCamp.com

Edgehill Farm Stays Riverton

Edgehill Farm Stays is located between Barossa and Clare Valley, 7km out of Riverton, and 1 hour north of Adelaide. We run a sheep and cropping farm which creates beautiful camping grounds at the foot of the hills, just below the Heysen Trail. The campsites are located on the pasture paddocks of the farm with sheep roaming the area, occasionally, so dogs on leashes at all times, and please pick up after them. With large distances between other campers, each site can cater for large groups, with no close neighbours. The sites are at least 2km away from busy roads, so absolute peace and privacy! There's a beautiful push bike ride from Riverton to Clare Valley and all the wineries are along the way. Plenty of room at the property for kids to ride their push bikes. Fantastic sunsets and sunrises from all sites, and at its best at the SUNSET BAA. Beautiful bird noises, including the kookaburras having a laugh. There's a very very basic "long drop toilet" pit toilet located near the Gumtree paddock and 5 others shared, down close to the camping paddocks, if not wanting to use shared toilets, please bring and supply your own portable toilet. Great coffee, cafe, and pub meals are available in Riverton. IGA food store is open 7 days a week, and a lovely clothing Boutique, Sassy Lass, is also open most days. Important Information to know before booking: All campers must check in BEFORE 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please make a booking for the following day instead Wood can be delivered to your site for a small fee, or your welcome to bring your own. Strictly no chainsaws on our properties please. generators only allowed on the unpowered sites. Pets are allowed, as long as they are on leashes at all times. If you have day visitors joining you during your stay, please go to the extras section and add the numbers to the booking. Our property is located in the rocky outcrops of the Bremer Ranges and is on the Bremer River in Rockleigh. This site was once a overnight yard for the sheep farmers who were passing through the area. We have three separate locations for campers to choose from. The Gums- surrounded by small gum trees right near the Bremer River. The Carob- this site is situated further back from the river and is surrounded by mulberry trees. Lastly we have The Sticks- this site is behind the scrubby bushed and requires tight access and is more suited to tents and swags. The decent into camp is quite narrow and steep so please drive carefully. We are 45 minute drive from the Lavender Federation Trail which is a popular walking track in the region. We are only 30 minutes drive from Monarto Conservation Park which is a popular spot for walking trails and picnics. Monarto is also home to a Safari Park which is the largest Safari Park in Australia and home to lots of interesting animals. We have a toilet available but please BYO toilet paper. From the 15th April fire are allowed. & portable firepits are available for your use Sorry, not pets.

Burra Creek Camping in Bright is an incredibly beautiful, rustic 5000-acre property, situated 25km North of Robertstown, just over 2 hours from Adelaide. It's suited to those with 4x4 or higher clearance vehicles, and off-road campers/caravans and tents. The camping sites here are very private, and provide large flat areas to set up. All have beautiful surroundings and views. The land here is spectacular. From morning light accompanied by birdsong, to days spent exploring the creek and the bush, to stargazing and toasting marshmallows by night, the land here offers the perfect antidote to modern-day stresses. There is (wonderfully) limited phone service here, meaning it's the perfect place for a digital detox! Two of our campsites have very basic outback long drop toilets (Wombat Flat and Creek Site), but for all other sites, campers need to be fully self-contained. It's you and nature. Therefore we ask that you please ensure the place is left as or better than you found it. All rubbish and waste to be taken with you. Important Information to know before booking: Check-in must be before 8pm. If you are unable to arrive before 8pm, please book for the following day instead. Plenty of fallen timber around you are welcome to collect for firewood, however, strictly no chainsaws or cutting down of trees. And strictly no motorbikes, firearms, or rally driving on the property. Pets are allowed, as long as they are controlled.

The Scrub Campsite

Inglewood is a 130-acre property currently running beef cattle and sheep. The property has 15 acres of remnant stringy bark scrub which abuts the Heysen Trail. This private campsite is contained within the scrub although campers have access to the whole property. There are 13 bespoke sites available. The owner has the right to assist campers when choosing their site. This is determined by factors such as type of accommodation, group size. access to toilet and communal areas, weather and privacy needs. Specific sites cannot be reserved unless by prior arrangement with the owner. The whole campsite can be hired exclusively for large groups - contact me direct for booking details and costs. A wood package can be purchased for $50 the communal fire circle. We offer sites suitable for camper trailers, campervans, , rooftop tents, tents and swags and pop top vans (sorry, no large caravans). During the non fire ban period all fires must be contained in the fire pits provided. Some firewood is supplied for you. Please bring firewood if you intend to have a campfire for an extended period or you may purchase wood for $15 for 20 kgs. A communal camp kitchen, barbecue, rain water and tables available. A composting toilet is available as is a solar and rocket shower system. Colloquially known as God's Country the property is conveniently located 1hr 20 mins from Adelaide, 14 mins from Victor Harbor, and 20 mins from Pt Elliot, Middleton, Waitpinga and Parson's beach, Hindmarsh Falls and Normanville. Other nearby localities are Deep Creek National Park, Newland Conservation Park, Springmount National Park, Granite Island and the Kangaroo Island ferry. The popular Belicious Belgium Cafe is a 60 min walk or 5 minute drive from the campsite. Walkers on the Heysen trail can access the campsite 100 metres away. An erected walker's tent is available for booking. The tent is located away from the campsite in the middle of the scrub and has chairs, tables and a fire pit for walkers use. Please note that the campsite has a no noise/music policy after 9pm The Scrub Campsite was honored to have won 1st place for best campsite in South Australia for 2024. Noorla Farm (Happy Camping Ground)

We live in a beautiful valley on 30 acres, that not many people know about. We're joined by 3 friendly dogs, 4 horses, 2 alpacas, 4 Galloway cows and chooks, along with the resident wildlife including many birds, kangaroos, koalas, shy owls, and even an echidna! All this, plus beautiful views from atop our hills, right to the lake, and the delightful winter creek complete with frogs. We are close to the McLaren Vale wine region as well as wineries throughout the Hills and 35 minutes to the coast of Victor Harbor. The Greenman Inn is 5 minutes down the road and has wonderful food from Wed to Sun if you do not feel the urge to cook with wood fires for the cold nights or a gorgeous outdoor area for the warmer months. At present, we offer two areas for camping. Topspot which has lovely views and is quite secluded amongst the tree tops. This site is suitable for tents and camper trailers (need reasonable backing skills and 4WD) The Laneway which is close to the babbling creek is suitable for those with a small caravan, or motorhome, 2WD etc, along with tent campers. (but would struggle with large caravans/motorhomes - please check with hosts) (The Lookout/Highview has spectacular views and is suitable for tents and camper trailers, accessible by low-range 4WD (or AWD if the weather is dry) - Please note this site is currently closed due to stock rotation.) If you have any doubts about which to book, please ask. AUTUMN/WINTER MONTHS: if we receive considerable rain the trek up to the hill sites could become slippery and not accessible as it is a farm paddock, therefore unfortunately your booking may need to be cancelled. NOTE: On our farm there is limited phone coverage in the valley (The Laneway) Topspot and The Lookout/Highview do have coverage. Pets are welcome, however, please ensure they are kept under control (unless discussed with the host) at all times as we have our livestock and are surrounded by neighboring livestock, as well as the wildlife that frequently visits. Please note: This is an active small farm, therefore work may need be continued throughout your stay possibly necessitating the use of machinery and tending to our livestock. If you wish to see some of the animals up close, please let us know and we will try to accommodate. We ask that all fires be contained within the fire pit provided and a portable toilet is available for your use. BUSHFIRE SEASON: Wood and open fires are not permitted in the bushfire season, therefore you will not be able to use the fire pits.

We are not far from The Blue Lake, The little blue is also close by, and is perfect for swimming in summer. The Umpherston Caves is literally just down the road, and is wonderful for a picnic, or on dusk feeding the possums. Sites are approx 20m x 20m, lined with trees, perfect for pitching a tent, parking a van, camper trailer, RV, or even a bus! You can even bring your boat! We are only 25 minutes away from Port MacDonnell, put your boat in, go fishing or just enjoy the beach. One van/tent per site (unless negotiated prior). Our sites are all located in a back paddock, it's quiet and peaceful. We have sites available to cater for RVs, vans and tents. Must be self-contained (no facilities provided, must dispose of waste at approved dumpsites in town), take your rubbish with you; dogs are welcome if they are friendly and well behaved.

The property is located 12kms from the township of Wilmington, a sleepy country town boasting panoramic views (both Hancock's Lookout and Horrocks Pass) and some impressive walking trails through the Flinders Ranges in the area. In Wilmington, you will find a pub, a general store, coffeeshop and a variety of museums and a dumping spot. We, your hosts, Anjo and Rob, live pretty much self-sufficient here - with solar power, water, vegetables, fruit, eggs, chicken meat, sheep meat, yabbies and marron. Everything is recycled, and nothing goes to waste - what we and the chickens and the sheep don’t eat will go to the compost/worm farm. The compost is reused in the veggie garden, excess eggs are boiled and fed to the yabbies and chooks, excess veggies will go to chooks, ducks and sheep. We grow carrots to feed to the yabbies. It’s a great lifestyle and we love it! Our farm is a great homebase to explore the Flinders. Explore the views and walks around Mount Remarkable, Mount Maria and Mount Brown, as well as the amazing sunrises and sunsets and starry night sky. There is an abundance of nearby hiking and biking opportunities including Alligator Gorge. Seasonal farm produce available on request. Options available for longer stays. If you would like to have a hands-on experience on a sustainable farm you could stay for free for 2 weeks (we can be flexible) in return for some caretaking while we visit our grandkids on Kangaroo Island.
