Situated on Goondooloo Rd, this property offers 75 acres of beautiful mallee scrub to get away, to relax with friends, or head out on your own if you’re looking for some solitude. Campground is flat terrain, suitable for simply swagging it around the campfire or plenty of room for setting up camper trailers or caravans. You’ll love the spectacular night sky on a clear night under the Milky Way. The campground features a long drop toilet just a short walk from campground, as well as a shelter structure with 12v solar powered points and some basic cooking and camping tools available for you to use. There is a large campfire fire as well as a small cooking fire pit, rainwater on tap during the wet season, and plenty of firewood for you to collect and use during camping (a saw for cutting wood is provided) Plenty of room to walk and explore, space galore for children to play and climb trees and plenty of timber lying around to build tee pees. Just 10 mins to the Murray River at Bowhill with boat ramp, playground with bbq facilities, public toilets, RV dump point, rubbish bins and the well loved Bowhill General Store for all your grocery needs, morning coffee, meals and kind hospitality.Come and enjoy a quiet and private getaway on our 75 acre piece of paradise. Pitch your tent or pull up in your caravan, perfect for 2 or a party of 22, on the open flat campground. Available all year round but you may find it very warm in the summer months and challenging with the friendly flies!!! Small cooking fire may be permitted during these months, except on total fire ban days. The campground features a shelter structure should it be rainy or really warm, newly fitted with 12v solar powered charging/light points and a large picnic table along with a large campfire pit for bonfires and a smaller cooking fire pit. Basic cooking facilities are available in the way of a folding campfire cooking plate, BBQ mate tools and a Billy. Water available on tap from the rainwater tank, subject to rainfall. Kitchen sink, detergent and hand soap available for washing hands and dishes. A simple long drop toilet is available at the site. An RV dump point is not far away near the Bowhill General Store. When a morning coffee is a must, or lunch with friends with river views, it is just a quick 12 min dash to the Bowhill General Store. (generally closed on Mondays) The property is not fenced but has recently been surveyed so a boundary walk following the white topped posts makes for a great way to explore the property. The Murray River and its beautiful red cliff faces are a short drive away, with boating and fishing readily available at the nearby boat ramps at Bowhill, Purnong and Walker Flat. Just 40 mins drive to picturesque Mannum.

This spot is perfect for anyone wanting bush tranquility, it has plenty of space for large groups but also felt cosy for just the two of us. Apart from the occasional car going past you won't see another person, but you will hear some gorgeous bird calls, and see some gorgeous sunsets. The site is well laid out and maintained with several thoughtful touches including a sturdy table with benches, a water tank, a drop toilet (with a door that doesn't bang in the wind!) and an open shed for gear storage and cooking. Directions and information provided was detailed and comprehensive, and speaking to Lynette was very pleasant at every step. If you go for a wander in the scrub make sure you're good with directions, it's a large property and the bush does get dense. If you're a lover of plants keep an eye out for all the different types of lichen, so much colour of you're looking closely. I've already recommended this spot to friends and we will absolutely be back.

Nice spot to relax and unwind. Large open area with plenty of options on which way to orient the van. Friendly flies 😄 Little shelter with seating and battery to recharge devices a great touch. Will try to get back in the cooler months to enjoy the nice fire pit. Thanks Lynette.

Woodland campsite is a peaceful, secluded campsite with many thoughtful additions. The campsite was private but easy to locate and access. We appreciated the two great firepits, a shelter with picnic table, toilet and plenty of space. An easy drive to the Murray River, Bowhill and beyond. Booking and was so easy and informative, Lynette is a great host. Thanks Lynette, we will be back!

Loved our return trip to Woodland Scrub. There is something magical about this place at night. The stars were amazing on Saturday night!! Woodland Scrub is a great place to escape the busyness of life and get back to basics of bush camping. Being able to take our dogs is an added bonus. This wasn’t our first trip and guaranteed won’t be our last.

The Campground is fantastic if you like to secluded. It's quiet and peaceful. The shelter and some camping gear is an advantage. There is also a Kings solar battery to charge phones or plug in a fridge. We would definitely stay again as we liked the surclusion and peacefulness.

Great spot nestled in scrub, easy to access even 2wd with handy, thoughtful shelter configuration which included 12v charging, sink, barbecue gear, sturdy bench seats and table, rainwater and long drop style toilet. Existing fire pits near shelter all in flat, clear area. The stars were amazing and close enough to bowhill for supplies etc Great comms from owner as well, too easy 👍👍

It was a great experience for us at Woodland Scrub. We were on the road trip from Sydney to Adelaide and on the day 4. There was no internet connection, no view of nature but trees and red sand on the ground. But we liked this property was private and quiet. This campsite is a great spot for camper who spend time with someone who you love. Doing campfire is available. Loved this place.

First time camping out with our fur baby and our mates! Absolutely loved the site, huge site to explore around and well equipment with a shed with 12v power outlet. Definitely will return in a later date. Definitely worth the drive out!

Our second stay and will be back again. Well laid out campsite with all essentials and a battery to charge devices. Plenty of firewood available for the colder nights! Has a secluded feel and while we had only four tents set up, it would also suit a big group. Lynette the host is very responsive.

We had such an awesome time camping at Woodlands! The spot was really peaceful, plenty of space to spread out, and the surroundings were beautiful. Great spot to relax and unwind; being able to take the dogs made it even better. We enjoyed the quiet night by the campfire. Great property to walk around. Amenities were good with a toilet, facilities for dish washing, under cover shelter with 12v charging area and picnic table. Looking forward to being able to head back again.

Great spot for camping. The toilet was clean and well maintained. The shelted came in real handy during an unexpected downpour, and the solar battery for phoen chrging was a nice touch (although nobody needed their phone much!)

A very quiet and peaceful campsite with everything we needed for our stay. We were a small group but there is plenty of space for larger groups. Ample firewood for the chilly nights and some nice touches with shelter, tables and charging points.
