We love coming to Tipsy Hill. Weather wasn’t as kind to us this time but we look forward to coming back again soon.
This place is a total hidden gem and officially our favorite camping spot! The view is incredible, we loved the privacy, and our dog had the time of his life swimming and running around. We saw so many beautiful birds and even a few kangaroos! We will definitely be back, thanks Susan! 🏕️🐶✨
We absolutely loved this spot! It was quiet and peaceful, lagoon was safe for the kids to enjoy water sports and fishing!
Birds and pelicans were beautiful to watch and the echidna at night was a special treat!

Tipsy Hill
We really enjoyed our stay at Tipsy Hill in our caravan. We loved the beautiful river views and the privacy, would highly recommend.
Rolled out the swag, and sat chatting and listening to all the birds. Amazing view right on the water and private.
Susan was really lovely and even offered some oars for the canoe, if we were brave enough to face to freezing cold water.
Really nice stay, we did have to level out the ground a little where the swag was but it was nothing crazy and there were plenty of spot where the ground was soft and easy to shift and level.

Tipsy Hill
Our little trip away intended for 2 ended up being a great family adventure. Susan was very kind and allowed very last minute changes over the weekend which took all stress away. Great spot, we had 2 caravans and 3 adventurous kids and so much space to play and fish. Will definitely return and bring our kayaks and little doggo’s next time too!
We had such a lovely relaxing quite weekend at Tipsy Hill. The site was clearly marked and easy to find. The river access was lovely, the camp-site was spacious and we were left to ourselves.
The view from the caravan was priceless! Thank you Tipsy Hill x
We had such a lovely stay! Our dogs felt completely comfortable and at ease the whole time, which made the experience even better for us. The environment felt very safe, everything was spotless and well looked after, and it was honestly such a relaxing and enjoyable place to stay. We would definitely recommend it and we’ll absolutely be coming back! 😊

Amazing space with great views, perfect place to camping with dogs, super private with great atmosphere, for sure will be back soon!
Had such a good time camping at Tipsy Hill. The campsite was quiet, private and really peaceful, perfect spot to switch off and relax for a bit. Loved the open views, the calm atmosphere, and the stars at night were unreal. Definitely a great place if you’re after a chilled camping trip away from the crowds. Would happily come back again

What a special place, so peaceful and full of bird life, we spent 4 days relaxing and seeing the local sights, plenty of space for a 20ft caravan the dogs had a ball too, Susan and her Husband were lovely and helpful
Our 3rd weekend trip to Tipsy Hill. We love the serenity and the lack of people. Our dogs love to sniff and explore as the property is fenced. One of our favourite hipcamp sites and will always be return campers!
Serenity, total peace and quiet. No noisy river traffic just abundant bird life, kangaroos and total relaxation. Good fishing too. Very secure for dogs.

Tipsy Hill
We spent three (windy and occasionally rainy) nights at Tipsy Hill and enjoyed ourselves immensely. The site is huge and we didn’t see a single other person the entire stay. Hosts are friendly and generous.. The kids caught some (big!) carp off the jetty, and had a paddle around in the dinghy. The lagoon is still and quiet with lots of birdlife. We will definitely be back.

My son and I loved our camping stay at tipsy hill, it was a beautiful private spot. Plenty of space and amazing views. We used the dinghy, which was great fun and enjoyed the peace and quiet. The hosts were lovely and very accomodating.

We had a lovely peaceful reset at Tipsy Hill.
It was so good being able to take our dogs and not have to have them tied up all the time - they could run around and swim.

I solo camped here and had such a lovely and peaceful stay here. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time surrounded by beautiful views.
One of the highlights was how much my dog loved it, he was able to swim whenever he wanted, which made the whole experience even more special. The fully enclosed space gave me real peace of mind knowing he was safe while still having the freedom to explore and enjoy himself.
Overall, an amazing spot with stunning scenery and a truly relaxing atmosphere. I’d absolutely come back again.

Great camp - steep driveway in/out

Fantastic campsite along the Murray backwaters. Great for fishing and nice and quiet. Only issue was that the driveway in and out is very steep… with some gravel and potholes… and a sandy bit near the bottom I nearly got bogged in (in dry weather) so my 2WD SUV couldn’t pull my camp trailer back up the driveway at the end of my stay. The owners were helpful but my poor trailer was stuck there until I could borrow a 4WD to bring it home. 😢
Really quiet spot for camping and Kayaking.
We had a really relaxing time paddling in the lagoon away from the motor craft on the river adjacent. Will come back to this spot.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 1 night stay at Tipsy Hill. Would’ve loved to stay longer but we will definitely be back again to enjoy an extended stay. Loved the location, nice and private, friendly and helpful host, great bird life, easy to launch the kayak and just a beautiful spot to relax and unwind.
We’ve had the most lovely three-night reset, only a couple of hours from Adelaide, and it truly feels like we’ve discovered a hidden gem.
The property is fully fenced and gated, which meant our dog Kelly could be off-leash after a full perimeter inspection (of course). She was absolutely in her element. It’s incredibly dog-friendly and completely private, set on a peaceful lagoon fed by the Murray.
Access was easy in a 2WD, although we brought our 4WD towing our OPUS camper. Our site was shaded by a majestic gum tree right on the water’s edge – the kind of spot you don’t want to leave.
The birdlife is abundant – especially at dusk and dawn. Some might call it raucous, but we loved every minute of it. It added to the magic of the place.
The lagoon was safe for swimming and paddleboarding, and there are plenty of fish to be caught straight off the jetty. The host was truly delightful – welcoming us upon arrival, helpful with insights of the lcoal area and clearly proud of what they’ve created.
We take the opportunity to visit Walker Flat and Swan Reach for a swim at the beach and a picnic under the shade, watching the ski boats and jet skis go by. Picking up some more ice and a newspaper for our GNTs.
We were fully self-contained and made sure to pick up after Kelly – it was lovely to see that most other guests clearly do the same. It makes such a difference in a place like this.
Kelly was happy. We are chuffed. We’ll absolutely be back.

Tipsy Hill
Beautiful riverside spot in the Riverland. We camped right by the river and it was incredibly peaceful — waking up to the water and birdlife was the highlight. Plenty of space, very quiet, and felt nicely secluded without being hard to access.
Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend if you’re after a relaxed, nature-filled Riverland escape 🌿

Tipsy Hill
When we (eight of us) arrived at Tipsy Hill, we stopped at the homestead, to let the host, Susan, know of our arrival. We were met with a warm and friendly welcome, after which we headed straight down to the camping grounds.
One thing I didn’t appreciate from the photos, was the size of the river lagoon - far bigger than we were expecting! Needless to say, we were glad to have brought our kayaks (though, there a few boats provided, on grounds).
However, where this spot really shines, is its ability to securely hold pets. We brought along two retrievers, and not once did we experience any issues with escapes, injuries, etc. in short, you can rest assured at Tipsy Hill, knowing your pets are free to roam off-lead - this was huge, for me. Watching them play in the water and enjoy the place to themselves was hugely rewarding.
In short, I absolutely recommend Tipsy Hill to anyone who wants a pain free, drive-in camping experience. We used to hunt up and down the river for free camping spots - with places like this available, why go hunting for spots, at all?

A great private spot on the river ! We loved having a fully fenced spot so our two dogs could enjoy the area stress free. With a lovely little river bank and jetty to fish from, lots of carp were caught whilst we enjoyed all the birds and wildlife :)
Another relaxing trip spent at this river front location, great water access, a great time had once again!
Host is very obliging and helpful.

What a wonderful place to unwind and just enjoy nature. Beautiful views, glorious night skies and lovely hosts. No noisy boat traffic so you can swim or paddle in tranquillity. Dogs can wander freely so our pup’s thoroughly enjoyed themselves too.
