Coober Pedy Views

13 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents2 acres · Coober Pedy, SA
Coober Pedy Views is located on the fringe of Coober Pedy and offers a unique outback camping experience for guests who are more adventurous and prefer privacy and a secure location. New Driveway is completed.... In 2019 I was sitting in my Alfresco Area feeling that the beauty offered in front of my property should be shared to people I thought might appreciate a different aspect to Coober. Since that time I have probably had 600+ guests enjoy what Coober Pedy Views has to offer. Whilst it remains a rustic type setting, with campers needing to be SELF SUFFICIENT (NO PUBLIC AMMENITIES AVAILABLE) I can offer Power (subject to availability) to 6/8 sites. Digging anywhere on the property is forbidden, there are no Opals on CPVs evident when the 3 large garages were dug. Digging softens the ground making it dangerous for avalanches on the embankments and walls especially after rain that creates washouts as you can see on the front embankments and the ugliness makes me sad to see. Our Public Noodling Area is the only place in Coober safe to dig freely. Bookings can be made via Hipcamp.com and more information via WikiCamp.com

Emu Bay Hideaway, Kangaroo Island

15 sites · Lodging, RVs, Tents80 acres · Emu Bay, SA
Welcome to your dream destination!! We have two different locations available in Kangaroo Island with some options of sites in each. Below you can see details for our Farm stays or Emu Bay Hideaway camp spots. Check below to see what sites are currently open. Emu Bay Hideaway has 30 hectares of peace, mainly vegetated with Kangaroo Island Narrow-leaved Mallee (Eucalyptus cneorifolia, a nationally-protected ecological community). Kangaroos and wallabies are in abundance. It has a wonderful feeling of remoteness and seclusion yet is so close to iconic Emu Bay. Those with 4WD may choose sites overlooking Shoal Bay towards Kingscote. Alternatively, you may set up camp anywhere on the property. There is even one under-cover position with a concrete floor for those concerned about the weather. There are no amenities so guests need to be 100% self-sufficient (including BYO drinking water and toilet) and leave no trace. It is a wild block and only five minutes from the iconic Emu Bay, where the white sandy beach runs for 4kms, most of which is backed by 10 to 20-meter-high dunes. It is one of the best beaches on the island with crystal-clear water. Check with me before lighting a campfire - this depends on the season and risk. Dogs are permitted if well controlled (register visiting dogs with local council). IMPORTANT: I have very limited access to the Internet, only periodically every few days, if that, therefore, I may take some time to respond to inquiries. It is preferred that if you have questions, you can text or call me, Rosalie, on 0490485123. Please note - all bookings MUST still go through the Hipcamp system, no exceptions. Kangaroo Island is serviced by regular ferry - check SeaLink for details.

Glamping in South Australia guide

Overview

If you're seeking a different kind of camping experience, you've come to the right place. South Australia has white-sand beaches, sloping vineyards, and deserted outback gorges, and with glamping sites springing up across the state, there's no need to pack your tent or rent a campervan. Whether you're touring cellar door wineries in the Barossa Valley, beach-hopping along the Fleurieu Peninsula, or wildlife-watching on Kangaroo Island, glamping means you can explore through all four seasons. Check into a deluxe bell tent or tiny home in the Clare Valley, stay in a luxe safari tent in the Flinders Ranges, or sleep in a traditional swag beneath the stars in the Gawler Ranges National Park. Most glamping tents provide heating/air conditioning, a comfy double bed, and access to hot water showers, BBQ areas, and a fire pit, but you might even get your own private deck and a private ensuite bathroom and kitchenette.
