Our 40 acre property is home to four quiet, secure, exclusive river front sites on the mighty Clarence River. Boating, fishing and crabbing literally at your doorstep. And it's just a 15 minute drive into the towns of Yamba and Maclean. To ensure all our guests have a comfortable and spacious experience, each campsite is designated for one camp set up only (eg one caravan or camper trailer or tent) This allows us to maintain a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere with plenty of space between sites. The campsites are situated right on the bank of the mighty Clarence River, perfectly suited for campers who enjoy the peace and quiet. Please note: Our sites are available for booking up to 3 months in advance. Our property is inhabited by a few cattle and kangaroos and on occasions a couple of visiting brolgas. The private boat ramp is accessible at the main house which is about 100 metres from your campsite. You are welcome to make use of our canoe or kayak which are kept up at the main house. Pets are welcome but must be kept under control. Campfires are allowed permitting there are no restrictions in place. Each campsite has it's own firepit surround in which to light your camp fire. Firewood is available for purchase. Campers must bring their own toilet and be fully self sufficient. Leave the site as you found it and take all waste with you on departure. The campsite is accessible by 2WD and can accommodate caravans, campervans and camper trailers. The sites are generally level and grassy.

Recycling bins are provided, otherwise campers are required to take their rubbish with them. Wi-Fi and Telstra coverage are available. Rainforest Gateway is located approximately 8klms along Grady's Creek Road, just 20 klms north of Kyogle and 15 klms from the Queensland border on the popular scenic tourist route, Lions Road. Kyogle is a bustling town with an IGA supermarket, MTB riding tracks, lovely gift shops, cinema, bowling alley, and a selection of dining outlets. For those wanting to immerse themselves in nature, the Border Ranges National Park is a short drive away. Please note Lions Road is temporarily closed for road repairs and expected to be reopened late January 2026. We can still be reached on Gradys Creek Road off Summerland Way, ignore Google maps if it directs you to Lynches Creek Rd. Check in is strictly between 2 - 5pm. Framed by the rugged border range National Parks "Mindoo" is 1100 acres of rolling green hills dissected by the pure, cascading, waters of the Cataract River which provide a number of private riverside campsites. Campers are encouraged to meander along the continually changing River and explore its many secluded swimming holes and enjoy the abundant wildlife that cohabitates with the Angus/Wagyu cow herd. Direct access to the neighbouring National Parks and State Forests offers an array of day trips to hikers, mountain bikers, or horse riders where they can discover the natural treasures of Basket Swamp and Boonoo Boonoo Falls, Woolool Woolooni, among others. For those who require a little more comfort, and lets face it we all do at times, the Mindoo Cabin is available. Featuring three bedrooms, open plan living/dining/kitchen,and a shady deck overlooking the River the cabin sleeps eight and still allows visitors to partake in all the adventures that "Mindoo" offers with the benefit of a comfortable rest when the day is done. Unfortunately horse riding is no longer covered by our insurance policy. You are able to bring your horses, however evidence of your own insurance policy must be provided. Be as adventurous or as restful as you please as both options are freely available. Mountain Biking, Hiking, or just riding your hammock and relaxing we are sure you will enjoy your time at "Mindoo". All of our river sites are designated and are space apart. As most of our sites are on the river and have farm tracks to access, if it is wet we may have to move you to a different site. 4wds are recommended for all sites and are required for some site. Our private boat ramp and jetty provide access to the Coolongolook, Wang Wauk, and Wallingat Rivers, which lead into Wallis Lake and Forster — making our site perfect for boating and fishing enthusiasts. River and ocean charters for fishing or leisure can be booked in advance. Exclusive campground bookings are also available for large groups and events. Also available are 8 peaceful, lodge-style rooms that sleep 4 (double bed and two single bunks) with ensuites. A communal kitchen, common room, BBQ, and fire pit make our lodge accommodation ideal for group bookings such as reunions, clubs, retreats, and weddings. We had an amazing time at Trickling Waters! Truely private and tucketed away into nature right beside the running creek. Everything you could need was provided making our stay so comfortable! The weather wasn't on our side for our stay but the tent was so cosy that it was never an issue, we just bundled up on the deck and in the tent listening to the rain and creek. We will be back!

The lodging was incredibly lovely and had plenty to discover in it. Campfire area is perfectly placed for an early morning fire or a comfy sunset. Plenty of animals to go observe and enjoy if you're interested as well as a lovely mix of farm and bush area :) Definitely coming back in the future!

An absolutely stunning spot next to the river. Hot showers, toilet and deck/pergola overlooking the water a bonus! Clean cabin and linen, and includes some cookware, plates and cutlery. We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Trickling Waters in a beautiful glamping tent nestled right alongside Commissioners Creek. This is a truly private and tucked-away gem in the Mount Commissioners Creek area of the Mount Warning region, surrounded by lush nature that makes you feel miles from anywhere. The gentle, tranquil sound of the creek was soothing and created the perfect backdrop for unwinding and relaxing after busy days exploring the region. Everything felt peaceful, secluded, and restorative — the perfect spot for a family escape or a quiet recharge in nature.

Stunning place just like the photos. Constant sound of the river which we loved, made for deep and restful sleeps. Fires under starry skies, private and quiet, even gets the afternoon sun in winter. Owner’s friendly and helpful, wood on hand to purchase, we had an axe which was useful for kindling but had forgotten paper, so appreciated them giving us firestarters. Great area to explore, walks etc. loved it!

Incredible views of the river, access to kayaks and canoes and wildlife in abundance. We saw Greater Gliders, Bilbies, Wild Boar (babies! Super cute), Pademelons, Kangaroos, Platypus and Turtles. The bell tents were beautiful with comfy beds. Spectacular stay.

Weekend Trip to Fern Valley Ranch

We had a wonderful stay at this camping in Tiny Fern (Cabin) last weekend. The cabin was very well equipped with everything we needed, including all essential utensils, a flush toilet, doona and towels, and even an air conditioner/heater for comfort. It really couldn’t have been better in terms of amenities. The only minor improvement I could suggest would be adding additional stairs leading down to the firepit area, as access there felt a bit limited. The site also has a separate facility nearby with additional toilets and hot showers, which was very convenient. The camping area itself was spacious and well laid out, giving a great sense of privacy and relaxation. Overall, it’s a perfect balance between camping and a farm stay. There are plenty of enjoyable activities such as tractor rides, cow feeding, campfires, and even some light trekking. It’s an ideal spot for anyone looking to enjoy nature without giving up comfort.

What an amazing hidden gem! The drive in was quite long and rocky, and we even thought we might be on the wrong road. But when we arrived, the beautiful mountain views, river, trees, and birdsong made it all worthwhile. The cabin was cozy and comfortable, especially with the wood fireplace keeping us warm at night. We loved being surrounded by nature and enjoying the peaceful forest setting. The free kayaks were a great bonus, allowing us to explore the water and take in the stunning scenery. In the evening, we sat around the campfire and enjoyed the incredible starry sky. It was a relaxing and memorable stay, and we would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for anyone looking to escape the city and enjoy nature. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Weekend Trip to Clarence River Wilderness Lodge

What a beautiful place to stay! The cabin was absolutely stunning, and although it was quite cold during our visit, there was a fireplace inside the cabin and another fire pit outside that kept us warm and cosy the whole time. The scenery was breathtaking, and at night the stars were spectacular. We could even see the Milky Way stretching across the sky, which was an unforgettable experience. The canoes were a fantastic addition and provided hours of fun for both me and the kids. Being able to get out on the water and take in the peaceful surroundings made the stay even more special. A big thank you to Sharon and Steve for such a wonderful stay and for sharing this little piece of paradise with us. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment and will definitely be back. P.S. If you happen to look in one of the corners of the roof, you'll find a little red speaker we accidentally left behind 🤭. It's up for grabs if you or another guest would like it! I loved the place so much I forgot all about it.

We love camping here! This trip was forecast for lots of rain and thunderstorms and it was my birthday so didn't particularly feel like being soggy so we upgraded and stayed in the tiny house which was such a treat! Has everything you need. And the fire heated hot tubs by the river are just such a special thing to add to any camping trip. Hosts were lovely as always, we will keep coming back ☺️
